Re: PURGATORY - The most volatile landscape in Soccer Manager

yeah we are. btw do u have to mention that horrible club's name always?

You should be calling them Cules in here anyway (tut' date=' tut)

IN SEASON III -

You can buy from ANYONE external or INTERNAL, but only once Season III has ticked over!!

Also remember that the ratings cap of only being able to buy players of rating 80 and below is still in place for 1 more season.

I estimate that Season III will most likely begin October 16th. Though that is just an estimate.

STATE OF THE MORTALS CUP

Guys,

I'm struggling at making to time to make sure The Mortals Cup matches take place.

I like the idea, and enjoy being a part of the only competition that one of us is guaranteed to win!

This second version has been tough to get going however and I will make sure that in the new season (III) we get to finish it off.

I am also announcing though that I don't have the time to make sure that these games get played. I extend the offer to any of you who want to run The Mortals Cup for Season III after we finish this version.

You can use the graphic I created for it, make the draw yourself and post the fixtures and results each round. Most importantly be sure to bug people to make sure they make, and accept the challenges for the matches made in-game.

If no one is interested, that is cool. No problem at all, Version II will be the last Mortals Cup to take place. It's a shame, but I just don;t have the time for it.

Please either post, or PM me to let me know that you are willing to take over with it.

If no one takes over, I will push to get this current competition done as soon as possible next season and then the competition will be defunct after a winner is crowned.

SEASON II

  • The Mortals Cup is made up of the ten Mortal Warriors in Purgatory.

  • The 'Mortal Warriors' are simply the teams that started off in the Purgatory Division, and are the only managed teams in the setup.

  • The warriors are drawn randomly into a bracket that involves a preliminary qualifying round of 2 fixtures with 4 warriors competing 1-on-1.

  • The other 6 warriors get a buy into Round I.

  • The matches are one-off matches that must be decided on the day. There are no replays.

  • If a match is drawn, here are the ways in which they are separated -

  1. The warrior with the most strikes on target (shots on target) goes through to the next round.

  2. The warrior with the better control of the match (possession) will advance.

  3. If still not separated (which is very unlikely), both teams are eliminated.

  4. In the event of the above tie being a Semi Final, I will chose a participant to go through to the Final (There will ALWAYS be a Final). This will be based on my opinion on who to advance looking at the stats of the match.

  • For this edition, and future editions of The Mortals Cup, the Holder automatically receives a buy into Round I. This season, that warrior will be Vindava.

  • Every Round is Drawn at one time, so you will be able to plot your route to the final and who you will likely be facing in each round.

So, no more messing around, here is the complete draw for the Purgatory Mortals Cup Season II.

Re: PURGATORY - The most volatile landscape in Soccer Manager

time 2 go back to the 80s and sack the 60s i signed 2 gain me my relegation..

never quite understood why dan malone moaned after chuckin games in four nations.. thought he would have had the head capabilities for a gameworld like this in all honesty..

any ways like game states on tin.. first 2 win the top tier and it doesnt hav any guidelines to how it must be completed.. end of the day its a strategy gameworld.. hence me havin a game plan..

i got relegated with 32 million already in my bank so looking forward to seeing wot i gain from relegation both funds and stadium rise..

im playing a strategy and wen i see the moment ill go 4 it..

Kevin is right.

Season III still requires you to only buy players rated up to 80.

Seasons IV-VI will be up to 85,

Seasons VII-IX will be up to 90,

Season X onwards will be free for all.

You will in Season III however be able to buy players rated up to 80 from anyone which now includes the Angels, and Minions (teams that started in Heaven, and that started in Hell). I would ask though that you wait until we are in Season III officially. Being able to buy from 'the immortal teams' was unlocked when I managed to stay up in Heaven.

I agree with you about Dan Malone, a big loss to the GW, I am completely open to you doing whatever you chose to get yourself in the best position to be able to win it. Whatever you feel might work as long as you only buy the players you are allowed to. I am somewhat puzzled as to why it was an issue for him as he clearly did not want to go down, and with you having the tactics to do just that it kind of played into his hands.

Check out the list of 'The Fallen' on the Purgatory Honours post.

Good luck to all for Season III. I believe it will be starting this coming Tuesday (October 16th).

Re: PURGATORY - The most volatile landscape in Soccer Manager

You can now buy from anyone in the Purgatory game world.

Just a reminder,

NO PLAYERS ABOVE A RATING OF 80

THERE IS A SQUAD CAP OF 35 PLAYERS

Your chairman has increased the capacity of the Stadium by 6,100 seats. The new capacity has now increased to 25,148.
I'm really liking my Chairman in this GW. Would love him to throw me some cash too if possible????

So, racky!

All your hard work to ensure relegation last season, what were the rewards???????

Re: PURGATORY - The most volatile landscape in Soccer Manager

Granit invests in exciting teenage prospects

Granit spends big on 8 youngsters to revive their hopes of getting back in Purgatory. Its a tall order but under their new manager Ghora the club is trying their best at least.

Players brought in :

JESÉ, Rodríguez

DE SCIGLIO, Mattia

YEŞIL, Samed

STERLING, Raheem

ALCACER, Paco

LIVIERO, Matteo

DONGOU, Jean Marie

CAN, Emre

Total cash spent : 15.6 million

10 players were earlier sold for around 10 million so didnt lose too much money.

No. of players in the squad : 34

Total budget : Not to be disclosed hehe :P

Granit wins the battle between mortals in hell

Granit beat Montañeros CF 2 - 1 in their Division 3 fixture.

Alcacer scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Klinga was also on the scoresheet for his side.

this is my first ever win against racky in like 20th attempt :P

Re: PURGATORY - The most volatile landscape in Soccer Manager

massive flaw 2 gameworld then as team prior gained it ;) ..

:D

maybe because theres 2 weak teams in the division now and the chairman feels u can meet his expectation (which is avoid finishing bottom) without further investment.

but still very harsh not to get the injection.

This season your Chairman expects you to finish in the top half of the table.

no 1 will win the gameworld this season so if needs b i have 2 take a wollopin till market starts 2 open out 2 get the cash in i can cope with that :) ..

top half of table.. guy has lost the plot :) ..
