Shelbourne FC 3,485
Re: Robin Van Persie vs Fernando Torres i guess we can decide after the first 10 games or so. So if he is the top scorer after ten games does that mean hes better than Van & of he scores none does that mean Van is better? No it dosent only after 2 season can you really judge even then its not whos better or has more talent its who adapted to the english game better thats all. Internationals matches would be a better way of sorting the two even then Van is more of a AM/F While torres is just Stiker.

After 10 games you can see who is actually playing better, so you know who is better ATM, i'm not saying that if one players better than the other then it's always going to stay that way. If you look at my previous post, to see who is better, it doesn't mean you score the most goals.... also spanglish is right, liverpool fan support torres, arsenal fans support van persie.. i'm man utd, i'm keeping my mouth shut!!! Bobo 687
Re: Robin Van Persie vs Fernando Torres Oops, lol, sorry about my earlier post... I hadn't read the whole thread - I just saw the title and said something Anyway, IMO Torres is better... we'll just have to wait and see what the outcome is this season. I have a very good feeling that he will be among the top 3 goalscorers this season, and same goes to VP if he avoids injury.
TH14-_- 42
Re: Robin Van Persie vs Fernando Torres Oops' date=' lol, sorry about my earlier post... I have a very good feeling that he will be among the top 3 goalscorers this season, and same goes to VP if he avoids injury.[/quote']why Torres is better now? back-up please..... i think van persie is the better one NOW and his rating should be the same with torres, or even higher than him... Firstly, If EPL is the best league in the world, that's simply tell u that Van Persie is better. La Liga's defence isn't that good and allowed Kanoute to scored a lot with his superb finishing...and you all know how many goals did Torres scored last season? it's only 14 goals in 36 games.....FRANKLY, don't think that kind of scoring record is better than van persie.... As u all can see, EPL is alot more defensive than La Liga, yet Van persie performs great for the gunners...guess what did he do last season? he actually only played 21 games! and how many did he scored? it's 11 and with 7 assists....! if he isn't injured, he might be the top scorer... Arsenal are relying persie to get all the goals, and also a penalty taker, free kick specialist......while liverpool still got gerrard, and kuyt to score for them..so most probably Van persie will get score more than Torres.... As you all know, Van Persie usually play as a winger for holland while Torres is the striker of Spain...but he(van persie) get the better goal ratio....! again! He played 19 games and just scored 7....!while Torres, he played 42, and managed to get 14!!! didn't i mention just now!? Torres is the striker! So, even he plays as a W, he still managed to get a better goal ratio... Even if Torres is a captain, that doesn't mean he's better...and i dont think he is suitable to become a captain...firstly because of experience....and Age....he is only 23 and u expected his teamates to respect him? he is named as the captain of A.Madrid when he is 19....i think this is a very bad decision from the manager....plus, Torres is a striker.....Striker isn't suitable to be a captain.....They cant see what's happenning around...That's why DM or CB is the best position to become as a captain. i wonder how's Fernando Torres's best goal? is his one better than Persie vs Charlton? Besides, Persie assists alot and are more skillful....just maybe is not a better finisher and anyway, he still scored more than Fernando Torres did so at the moment, Van Persie is better Fernando Torres....in my opinion..and their rating in SM, should be the same, or even better!!!!!!!! Danny_Williams 1,111
Re: Robin Van Persie vs Fernando Torres drogba better than both of them Probably, but this isnt a Drogba thread, its a Van Persie/Torres thread.
Sir Metz 267
Re: Robin Van Persie vs Fernando Torres I think Torres. His goal against CHelsea was great, ad with Gerrard's abilities to get hi through balls I thinkhe will definitaly be able to get some great breakaway opportunities. He played really well against Chelsea, and I think theres more of that to come as well...
dan_dcfc 54
Re: Robin Van Persie vs Fernando Torres IMO Torres is a better player although i rate RVP alot, it is hard to tell which player is better in the EPL so far as torres has only played a few games but both hae started the season well. I think RVP deserves to be rated 93 because he has many aspects to his game other than goal scoring.
