Guadalajara, the only Mexican offering in the league, have two major announcements to make.

First of all, they announce experienced manager Paul Thame as their manager of choice for this amazing season. Paul is hoping to shake off the tag for Guadalajara, that they will avoid relegation, and even goes on to hope for a top five finish, although Paul slightly admits that he'll be more likely to be battling to avoid relegation.

The second announcement is that Paul's first move of the season is to quickly secure the loan signing of Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak

Bye bye John

The news coming in from Stamford Bridge is that club captain John Terry is leaving the club. Apparently Barcelona have shown an interest in the England captain and placed an official bid this afternoon.

Terry pictured below is rumored to have undergone a medical today and will become a Barcelona player sometime tomorrow.

image_bio05.jpg

When the news first broke to the Chelsea faithful there was a plan to protest outside Stamford Bridge tonight to try and convince the new manager not to sell the club captain to the Catalan giants.

However those plans were soon a distant memory when the Chelsea manager revealed more details about the transfer. After phoning Sky Sports News the Chelsea boss said this:

"The rumors are true, this morning I accepted a bid for John from Barcelona. I feel that this offer was the best for Chelsea as a football club otherwise I would never have held negotiation talks with Barcelona representatives. The amount of money that we will receive will be in the region of £15 million, that might not seem to be an acceptable price for a player of John's ability but when you consider that we will also be receiving the duo of Lionel Messi and Lillian Thuram, many people will agree that I made the right decision."

The future Chelsea star looked rather relaxed when he was shown around Chelsea's training facilities today, fans will be hoping he looks more lively when he starts his first game for the Londoners.

messi.jpg

The Chelsea manager went on to explain why the club didn't make more of an attempt to sign Juan Roman Riquelme. The Argentinian has recently signed for Atletico Madrid but Chelsea were reported to have lined up a move to pip Atletico to the players signature.

"I would like to apologize to the fans for not making more of an attempt for Juan, I just felt that we had more than enough world class midfielders within the club and bringing in another would only disrupt the harmony that is within the club already. Although we were expecting a phone call regarding the player but unfortunately I fell asleep and missed the call"

When asked about his plans for the club and players that he would like to bring to the club the manager calmly replied:

"I want to make Chelsea the biggest and most successful club in the world. To do that I will need to spend some of Mr Abramovich's hard earned cash but I have spoken to him and he knows the score. Obviously I am not going to name my targets but there is numerous players that I would like to see playing for the club".

Chelsea fans will need to wait and see what happens to the club in regards to signing new players but they know three players that won't be playing much football for Chelsea this season, Saloman Kalou, Claudio Pizzaro and Shaun Wright-Phillips have all been loaned out to gain more first team experience.

One player that might not be leaving the club is Ben Sahar, the Chelsea manager has stated that he is reluctant to let the player go for a low amount of cash.

"Exeter and George have been in touch regarding Ben, but I feel that he is a very talented youngster that has a bright future ahead of him. I can't see him not playing for Chelsea in the future, although every player has his price".

Guadalajara move quickly to make three major signings. Number one is Newcastle's Australian striker Mark Viduka. He will be joining the Jalisco for a fee of £1.5 million plus goalkeeper Alfredo Talavera and striker Sergio Santana.

Number two is Borussia Dortmund'ds experienced central defender Cristian Worns. He will join for a money-only fee of £850k

Exeter City - Latest News:

It would be understandable if Grecian's fans were slightly confused right now as they have every right to be.

First of all, it was made clear that the club were looking to secure the loan signing of Francesco Toldo, then that was withdrawn and they revealed their new target was Timo Hildebrand, now Igor Akinfeev has been targeted.

Giuseppe Rossi 915.jpg has completed his loan move to Exeter City, but it now appears that Phil Bardsley won't be joining with Justin Hoyte targeted instead.

City have confirmed the accepted signing of Barcelona's Jorge Hernandez for a fee of £600k.

Daniel Victor Bravo has completed his move to the club.

Exeter City still hope to sign Ben Sahar 204_sahar.jpg. Whilst George admits he can see why Bryan wants to keep him or sell for bigger, he remains confident of signing him.

Valencia have now officially unveiled juve_fan as thei manager at a press conference last weekend. He said this at the press conference:

I am looking forward to managing this great club, and hope to achieve promotion to Division 3 this season, with too much trouble. I unfortunately don't have much funds to the new stadium being built, which will look great, but I am looking to buy a centre back and a centre midfielder.

he went on to say that Albelda will be leaving the club, for £16m, or money plus a 91+ rated cm, and that David Silva or David Villa will not leave the club under any circumstances, not even for £50 million.
