87+ 2,415
GAME WORLD NAME: 87+ (GW ID 154503)JOIN THE WAITING FOR VACANCY LIST TO GET INVOLVED87+ is a custom game world that focuses solely on the lower end of the player rating scale. 80 is the new 90! Designed specifically to play against like minded people who enjoy the research/riser part of Soccer Manager and who want to compete in a competitive and fast evolving game world.THE 87+ RULE (In Brief): Once a player reaches a rating of 87+ he MUST be sold.THE 87+ RULE (In Depth): There will be a selling cap. By this I mean once a player reaches say 87 or higher they MUST be sold at the first opportunity so as to help keep the need of finding rising talents. This would also help keep it interesting in the sense that just because one team is good at a particular point in time they might just be say a Brazil ratings change from having to sell several of their first teamer's. All teams would never be far ahead or far behind and each season there would be a greater chance of new contenders pushing for glory!! We would kind of be like feeder clubs in that once a player gets high enough rated he is bought by a bigger (external/unmanaged) club. An example: you buy player rated 80 he then gets a rise of +4 to 84 and becomes a first team player for your club. He plays at your club a couple of seasons before his country's rating comes back around again. This time he gets a +2 to 86 and is now a star of your team. Another couple of seasons pass and his country's rating comes around again. He gets a +1 taking him to 87. He has now been spotted by a bigger (external/unmanged) club and has to be sold due to the player wanting to move on. Same rules for every manager in the setup. It would make it interesting as players would only be able to play for a club for a few seasons a bit more like real life and unlike the 20, 30+ seasons a player can in normal SM setups. Should a player rise to 87+, whether he's transfer banned or not he becomes ineligible to play for the club any more IMMEDIATELY and either has to wait his transfer ban out without playing any more games or if not banned transfer listed straight away. NO EXCEPTIONS!! The manager then has to accept the FIRST offer that comes in for the player. If there's more than one its the first in the list of offers on his profile/transfer page. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Should a manager play an 87+ either on purpose or by accident he MUST face a transfer ban. A four week ban for each game the 87+ plays in. If more than one 87+ played then an extra week is added for each subsequent player. For an example if two 87+ play one game the club is banned for five weeks if they then play the next game it is extended to 10 weeks and so on. NO EXCEPTIONS (unfortunatly this includes going on holiday as it would be open to abuse! It is YOUR responsibility as manager to make sure you don't end up being transfer banned for months. You could try and use players who have been rated recently so no unexpected 87+ sneaks in) If the ban reaches 10 weeks or you ignore the ban and sign someone (Why are you playing this setup? ) you MUST sell the best rated player at your club who is available to sell IMEDIATELY! (this noes not include the 87+ rated player who has to be sold anyway). If more than one player rated the same you MUST sell the youngest of them. For example you have an 85 rated player but he is transfer banned. The next highest is two 84's who arn't transfer banned, one is 22 the other 30. You MUST sell the 22 year old. You MUST still serve the Ban as well as selling the player. The player must not play any more for the club whilst waiting to be sold. For every week extra that the ban rises from after the first enforced sale, that shall be the amount of players that MUST also be sold. Again these shall be the highest rated and if a tie the youngest of the players. For example if a ban reaches 12 weeks and an ineligable player plays the next game the ban rises to 16 weeks and 4 more of the highest rated players MUST be put up for sale and sold as soon as possible. These players MUST also not play again. Should anyone let themselves get beyond this point I would hope they would do the decent thing and resign from the club so as to be fair to the other GW managers who abide by the rules and for the future competitiveness of the club and the good of the GW in general. This doesn't mean that the manager would never be allowed back to manage again in the future. Having the decency to resign would go a long way to making amends for continual breaking of the rules and building goodwill for future involvement. Should the manager resign the club's ban and enforced sales (excluding 87+ rated players) shall be rescinded so as not to punish the new manager coming in. Please don't let yourself get into this situation. Should a manager leave the setup and some of that clubs players rise to 87+ before a new manager can be found they WILL be eligible to play until a new manager is found. This is for obvious reasons. Look at it as a booster/club protection for the unmanaged club to help keep them competative at a time when they are at a big disadvantage (fitness and not being able to sign) If they have an 89 for example don't complain just deal with it! its one or two game's of many and the same for all If the manager has a bid in for a player before they get a transfer ban the bid is allowed to stand. However the player will be ileligable to play for the club and MUST adhere to the same rules as if he were an 87+ rated player. The 87+ rule is obviously reliant on the goodwill of those who participate to self regulate, so please be considerate to your fellow managers no matter how frustrating something might be and stick to the rule. If we don't then what is the point in participating?. This is meant to be something different and challenging and will need a little love for us to get the best out of the experience! Please note this is a forum GW and as such applying to join the GW means that you are willing to commit to posting on this forum thread to be part of its community and for the overall good of the GW. Being allowed to join the GW and then not posting is not fair on everyone else involved and will be deemed as not acting in the GW's best interest and you may be asked to leave. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UNFAIR ACTIONS OR CHEATING BETWEEN PARTICIPATING CLUBS AND MANAGER DISAGREEMENTS Clubs that are obviously or suspiciously acting unfairly with other participating clubs should be reported to the GW administrator (Monkeyshuffl) by way of PM rather than posting accusations or anything inflammatory on the forum. This way the case will always be officially raised by me to limit any bitterness and ill feelings between managers. From there I will look in to the matter asking the relevant managers to explain their reasoning behind their actions and will come to a decision on whether they have acted unfairly or in a way that could damage the GW. At this point the decision is final and must be respected whether agreed with or not - The opportunity for defending the investigated action and influencing a decision will have passed. If while the investigation is taking place it is still possible to cancel a transfer that is being investigated the transfer should be canceled immediately. If all is found to be above board the transfer can then later take place. A similar process is also there to mediate manager disagreements. Note: The final decision doesn't necessarily have to find both clubs innocent or guilty - for example it can be possible for one club to be innocent if I feel they acted in good faith whilst the other guilty if I feel they were trying to manipulate things in an unfair manner. The punishment for the clubs are as follows 1. A Club found guilty must terminate all loans too and from the club to any club. A loan ban is then in effect for the rest of the season and the following season. 2. If the issue was raised over a transfer that has yet to be completed the transfer should be cancelled immediately by either club. 3. If the issue was raised over a transfer that has already been completed the player must not play for his new club and must be sold as soon as his transfer ban has expired. 4. Guilty cubs face a season long transfer ban (buying) for the remainder of the current season and the following season. They may still sell though. Tranmere will (try to remember to:o) inform the managers when the punishment has expired.Any manager ignoring the punishment (I forgot or any other excuse won't cut it) will unfortunately be asked to leave the GW as they are failing to act in its best interest. Note: I may amend this at anytime if I feel it is needed as its important to try and get this right. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A Buying rating cap of 80 Max (SM enforced) A Selling Rating cap of 87+ (Self Imposed Manager enforced) 2 Leagues of 10 (4 promoted 4 relegated each season - Play off) Small clubs (Grounds between 9k-16k) Blank Squad to start 30m Starting budget Poor economy ON Transfer windows OFF Buying from Unmanaged clubs OFF Buying from external clubs ON Buying players over the age of ANY Can not do cash transfers over OFF Can only offer cash to clubs in deals OFF Can only buy players with the same nationality as your club OFF Player concerns ON SMFA monitoring transfers OFF Manager sacked if they finish in bottom OFF Manager must log-in to this Game World at least every 14 days If your someone who enjoys looking for risers, doesn't mind losing the next Messi once he reach's 87+, is happy to follow the rules and in general likes the sound of the setup feel free to inquire about availability of places.WAITING FOR VACANCY LIST… If I don't have your in game name I will move on to next person in list so tell me! ) 1 themd21 2 Daniel Schumacher 3 ivananic 4 tupac_healy 5 palyoCURRENT DIVISION COMPOSITIONDIVISION 1.... 1 Miki M.........Stade Brestois....................Miki M 2 Rilo...........................Guaratinguetá...... ...............Christopher Riley 3 Revolt...................Greuther Furth....................La Revolution 4 Ryan Sadegjhi.....................Como............... .. . ...............Ryan Sadegjhi 5 ΓΙΩΡΓΟΣ ΧΙΩΤΗΣ....................NK Varazdin........................ΓΙΩΡΓΟΣ ΧΙΩΤΗΣ 6 Rob Soar.....................Rochdale............. ...............Rob Soar 7 coach spam..................Rayo Vallecano....................coach spam 8 Georgi Georgiev........................Willem II............................Georgi Georgiev 9 Cam Lucas........................Doncaster Rovers................Cameron Lucas 10 Geoffrey R.......................AC Siena............................Geoffrey R DIVISION 2.... 1 Wayne "Wazza" Rooney....................Crewe................ ................Wayne "Wazza" Rooney 2 Marius MG............Zalaegerszegi TE.................Marius MG 3 Tranmere...................Wrexham................ ............Fred Ziko 4 will-gee...................Jahn Regensburg.................billy gray 5 Gizb..........................Muangthong United...............Gizb (forum) 6 Mattsson...............FC Lugano..........................Gustaf Mattsson 7 Keystone.....................Barcelona B........................Gordon (Keystone - Forum) Christopher 8 Animation..........................FC Nordsjaelland..................Matthew Sampson 9 Gozzy........................UD Logrones.......................boaz "Gozzy" solossa 10 petergrady...........................Liverpool de Montevideo.......Peter Grady RULE BREAK TRANSFER BANS Name.................Team......................... ........Until 1. Mr Noisy 15,078
Re: 87+ NEW GAME WORLD NAME: 87+ PROVISIONAL START DATE: Monday 31st September 2012 87+ is a new custom game world that focuses solely on the lower end of the player rating scale. 80 is the new 90! Designed specifically to play against like minded people who enjoy the research/riser part of Soccer Manager and who want to compete in a competitive and fast evolving game world. THE 87+ RULE (In Brief): Once a player reaches a rating of 87+ he must be sold. THE 87+ RULE (In Depth): There will be a selling cap. It would make it interesting as players would only be able to play for a club for a few seasons a bit more like real life and unlike the 20' date=' 30+ seasons a player can in normal SM setups. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Should a manager leave the setup and some of that clubs players rise to 87+ before a new manager can be found they WILL be eligible to play until a new manager is found. This is for obvious reasons. :p The 87+ rule is obviously reliant on the goodwill of those who participate to self regulate, so please be considerate to your fellow managers no matter how frustrating something might be and stick to the rule. If we don't then what is the point in participating?. This is meant to be something different and challenging and will need a little love for us to get the best out of the experience! tonyba 2,608
Re: 87+ Excited to be joining it. Just 1 thing I should add is, I definitely hate the idea of selling when they hit 87+. If you are intelligent enough to find the talent, you shouldnt be put in a position to then sell. Its going to be rare to see a lot of players go that high, at least in the 1st season and it should be a decision by the coach if they sell and use the large sum to reinvest. But I enjoy the unique aspect and will play by the rules.

But I enjoy the unique aspect and will play by the rules.[/quote'] I get what your saying but it would end up just like most other setups if there was no limit and would detract from the need to keep finding new risers to keep your team strong. It would get to a point were teams all have 90+ players loads of money from money spinners and new talents that would take a couple of years at least to get anywhere near peoples first teams. There would be little to do. It would all be pretty predictable on whose going to challenge for the title and who's not and there would be little excitement. This setup has the potential to stay fresh and exciting all the time as it's constantly changing so fast and even if a manager dropped out from the worst team in it a new manager would always have the opportunity (dependant on their scouting) to turn their team into the best team in a relatively short amount of time compared to other setups where this is practically impossible. Yeah season 1 squads will be weak for sure but that will throw up interesting questions for the managers to answer - like do you sell that player who rose to 85 and is now worth 6-7m for much need re-investment or do you keep him as he's a star of your team and could help win you silverware/promotion? Like_A_Boas 8,954
Re: 87+ I voice the same issue as Tonyba. I don't like the idea of finding a riser and then having to sell him when he hits 87. You then try and find players who won't go any higher than 86.
87+ 2,415
Re: 87+ Hmm its quite tricky finding a club between 10 -12k especially if theres 16-20 of us doing it! I'm going open it up a little and say between 9-15k Ox in the box feel free to change your team if you like now the restriction has changed

Mutant 16
Re: 87+ I like the idea of selling the 87+ players. It means the league will stay competitive as everyone will have to keep their teams refreshed and no one becomes a super power. Yes it will be a shame to see a player you've scouted and watched grow have to leave your club. But this will stop people hoarding players or just going for the big names which normally ruins most other leagues. Well it took a while to find a suitable team but I'll pick Muangthong United. (from Thailand, Robbie Fowler played there)

I don't like the idea of finding a riser and then having to sell him when he hits 87. You then try and find players who won't go any higher than 86. I'm trying to create something that is very different to the norm and can only really refer you back to my reasoning in my earlier posts/OP. There are plenty of setups out there that cater for finding and keeping the next Messi probably all of the one's that you are in now for example? Iv'e made no secret that this isn't a game world for that. This is meant to be a different challenge to what you have been used too and will only work as intended with the 87+ rule. Believe me Iv'e thought about it a lot. I hope both you and tonyba do decide this is a challenge you would like to be involved in as you were both specifically the kind of player this setup was designed for (people who are really interested in the player rating/riser aspect of SM) No hard feelings if this is not for you though.
