Official Manchester United Thread

Re: Official Red Devils thread

1) From what I can gather' date=' the media still portray Arsenal as a big club, not a comical one...

Of course they do. Someone has been locked away for 6 years!;) Comedy such as this

The below link despite heavy rotation by United

Use a search engine and look at the sites dedicated to Arsenal's failure. Big joke more than big club.

Here are some examples I left on your thread

I genuinely apologise to everyone.:)

There is success at the Emirates after all

Look at the gold thing on the floor!

If anyone finds this then return it. It is required urgently;

2) Given your apparent watching of virtually every Arsenal and Manchester United match plus your ability to spend an entire day on the forum' date=' how do you have time to talk to people 'in real life'.

Where did I say i watched every game? Most league games yes. Arsenal get kicked out the cups pretty early generally, so I don't miss too much:D.Go back to the Arsenal thread to discuss how the latest signings-some unproven Alvarez and a 19 year old defender-can stop Arsenal being a joke.

Anywho...

The above pretty much sums up Arsenal in every competition. "But don't worry, Arsenal have a good young team". I have heard that excuse for so many years now-the youngsters like Denilson and Diaby never develop and those that do e.g. Flamini, Hleb etc leave pretty soon.

Any more discussion about smaller clubs can go on their own thread perhaps it that is ok with you? i think the above proves quite nicely Arsenal is depicted in a comical light by many.

After all

Why are we talking about that small club on this thread

I love how you took out Bowes use of :P which implied he was joking and turned it into a serious post. And out of interest, can i ask where you're from?

@Spam, i thought you weren't going to get reeled in by this kid?

Re: Official Red Devils thread

When I see BBC, SSN, the Guardian, transfermarkt. etc. openly call Arsenal a 'joke', then I'll believe it. Unfortunately none of these reliable outlets do, thus why would I believe a blog post etc.

Just 'cause you're apparently shackled to your computer 24/7, doesn't mean I am.

@ 'Legend, I've come here to respond to posts and actually rmeian on topic with them, the above spent most of yesterday posting derogatory comments and flaming the Arsenal thread. ;)

You all had a problem with CR posting on the arsenal thread' date=' yet know most of you are doing the same thing here.

WTH has his location got to do with anything?[/quote']

Well said. Unfortunately they cannot take thier discusion of the pretige of the Emirates Cup elsewhere:(

See what i mean ' date=' Legend?

You're still dodging the question. If you answer it (honestly), i'll leave you alone.[/quote']

Stay on the thread.:eek::eek: I'm scared:eek::eek::eek:. The fact is I have given good arguments as to why Nasri could be a good player for United, but why I don't want him. If certian Arsenal fans want to get upset about that then fine. But my arguments that can be read before are perfectly true.

Re: Official Red Devils thread

I'd love Nasri to join, simply because he is class and we could rub it in every Arsenal fans nose we know :P

So hopefully we can wrap up the transfer of Dea Gea this week and then work on either Sneijder or Nasri for CM. I honestly do reckon Berbatov will be gone this summer and then we might have to replace him. No idea who his replacement could be and there is no chance we could possibly sign Cavani as Hernandez and Rooney are the main two at United and Cavani will not want to sit on the bench.

Cavani would never be a benched striker, agreed. But with Wellbeck returning, and Owen as a last resort (I think anyway) surely United could play with one up front if they had a striker shortage? Rooney and Hernandez seem quite fit and not injury prone. Hernandez doesn't have to leave in Juanuary for a cup or anything does he? Becuase United are used to playing with one striker, so three is enough IMO.

Although a quality back-up would be nice should Berba leave. If he leaves it will be next season anyway IMO.

That might be the way you feel but it wouldn't stop me trying to wind you up about it :P Eventhough the move wont happen.

Evra certainly talks of the trophies he has, and with a warm reception from Evra at least anyway, Nasri could at least be tempted by United possibly. Players have moved between the clubs before like Silvestre. Although United fans didn't seem to mind much him leaving though:confused::P

If only ayeeee! Man what a signing that would be, hes going to be the best playmaker in the world in a couple of years. Barca are definitely not going to let him go though sadly.

Alas, the sources. :P

I really hope that Thiago and Deulofeu can make Pedro-esque explosions into the first team at Barca, but it's deperately unlikely ATM. It'd be much better to let them go on loan to other La Liga clubs; but Gerard'll probably be at Barcelona B while Alcantara gets a few Jonny Santos-esque minutes every now and then.

If only Xavi would break a leg or something.
