You know you want to stay with Gladbach! 2 teams is a good number, this one doesn't require too much attention anyway. Would be sad to see one of the legends of this setup, one of the originals leave.. You're building a great side with Gladbach and leading them to success as well, keep 2 teams!

Well, this has been my favourite setup all this time... I can't quit it as long as I am still around and still haven't tried at least one time to win Division 1. :o That, and trying to win The BIG Games with Japan, are still worth fighting for. And yes, now we are finished with the transfers for the big part, I can at least continue and finish this 3rd season. :D

And it's true, the fun went slowly away the more teams I took...

I have to follow your lead and cut down my clubs, too much for me to handle, taking the fun out of the game.

Trust me you don't want 18 clubs LOL

Because people like me with conditions into wanting to win everything possible, and being a tactical genius (:D), I just can't stand defeats, and every day I'm like: "have I set the counters for this team or that? And have I made that bid?"

LOL! :o

I've realised that the worst ones are customs or forum based GWs that mentally compels you to post/discuss/brag/talk all the time - so I've really cut down on Customs and found that the ones I like the most is ones I don't have to put much effort - like BC, I do all the major transfers at the beginning and the end of each season and midway through the season I'm hardly ever on here, I still get to socialise (sort of :D) and have fun without putting much effort ;)

Out of all the 18 clubs I currently have:

1. Euro Champ 1934: Man United

2. The Basement: Birmingham

3. -Das Deutsche Projekt-: Leverkusen

4. EC Anno Domini: Ipswich

5. EC 22399: Arsenal

6. EC 13280: Tottenham

7. .:10000 BC:. Man United

8. GerC 6952: Dortmund

9. Poor Mans Pride: Decic

10. Double D: Tottenham

11. SC 24433: Atletico Madrid

12: WC 33333: Ajax

13: Performance Review: Atletico Madrid

14: EC 106: Northampton

15. EC 7777: West Ham

16. EC 27777: Sheffield United

17. EC 27046: Wigan

18. IC 13919: Roma

Only a few of those I really, really, really enjoy.

Personally I think that we only enjoy a GW is because we know we can make our team better, the most fun of this game is the transfers, and that's why I'm not enjoying the older GWs like EC 22399, 13280, 106, and even 7777. The newer clubs are interesting in the first season or 2, but after you developed them so well you'll quickly get bored too.

That's why I think GWs like 10000 BC and Basement are so enjoyable, because they have so much potential and there's always something new I'm looking forward to in the future! :P (I even have a great secret plan/rule to announce when we get to Season 10 here ;))

There I think that was a good enough pitch for you to stay don't you think? And once you've read my suggestions about your other problem (I have that exact same problem too) on your VM then I think we're sorted ;):D

lol....just follow the plan....or try better players...not one of the best teams , but strong enough to keep you in the middle from div 2....Relegation..! Shame on you ...:o..maybe i was better stay one more season, to bring the squad in to the div 1...well we will never know it now. play from your own strength, and not that of your opponent you'll get there. good-luck.

Meanwhile I enjoy my free time ... golly sm early hindsight a lot of time ... 1 maybe 2 would still succeed but then it must really worth it and from the start...but that will be in another year.

Your squad value is more than Barca...

I've been trying to tell you, sell your 5-6mill players, and maybe Puyol too, raise a fair amount of cash and get a high rated player.

Buy for CV, sell for higher price = steady revenue income

most of spending is done for most teams already! Or they risk breaking the 60mill net spend rule! :P

Incase you don't believe my theory of Quality > Depth... Which squad would you rather have, yours or Barca's? Same squad value... Same empty banks atm... :)

Mine. I know this sounds arrogant :P , but i never become a fan of a team with just fantastic 11 first team players and then practically nobody in 2nd team

Ahhhhh... This is hard for me to explain....

[HEY PRO (city manager)!!!, REMEMBER WHEN I TRIED TO EXPLAIN MY OVERPAYING IN RWC TO PED AND BEN C AND OTHERS?]

Right, my theory:

1. There are many 87-90s out there in the external market. Agreed?

2. There are far less 92+ out there in the external market. Agreed?

3. With a smaller sample size the demand and competition is greater. Agreed?

4. Therefore with the many 87-90s, you're more likely to pick up a couple for CV easily (and if you're lucky they will be worth more to your Chairman as well - so you can make a bit of profit later). Agreed?

5. Therefore with the few 92+s, you're less likely to pick up ANY for ANY price easily. Agreed?

6. It's much harder to buy high rated players off managers. Agreed?

7. It's virtually impossible to buy the really good players off managers. Agreed?

8. Conclusion = buy expensive now for good players, you can always fill up your subs in later seasons with a few 87-90s that nobody's interested in for CV. Buy the 87-90s now, you'll still end up with 87-90s in later seasons. No matter you offer half your squad for a high rated player, the other manager won't accept. So you'll forever have a squad of 87-90 rated oldies :P

THAT WASN'T SPAM!!! :D

Hi, I am interested in joining your custom gameworld. I have heard from a friend that has Lyon there, that is a fantastic gameworld.

I am known with your league rules and I really find them exciting and challenging.

It would be great if you would take me in consideration as a future manager of one of your league clubs.

Cheers.

Re: .:10000 bc:.

I agree with Hyina. I don't understand why people keep saying I'm a weak club, I'm a poor club, I have no money etc. some of the clubs are but no team is heads and shoulders above another team and if they are it is not due to an advantage for that team, it's because of how they approached their transfers. This is not directed at anybody and I don't mean to offend anyone just my opinion.

  • This game world was an empty squad game world so all that really mattered in the beginning was stadium size, Gozzy you have a stadium of a whopping 80k which is not much less than mine!
  • You say you have no money but you cannot expect money to just come to you (it does for me though :P) you have to be willing to make some sacrifices.
  • As the game world progresses there will be less and less 92+ players available in the external market but there will always be players rated around 88-89, players who are actually quite useless but good subs. You don't need to worry about depth at this stage, with the transfers ensuring you can't buy young players (yet) none of your second team or none of anyone's second team will eventually play for your front team.
  • While there are 92+ players available at external, good solid players who will retain their rating in the future as well, players who will be in your starting XI even as the seasons roll you have to capitalise and buy these players!
  • To get the funds of course players must be sold, as Hyina said, sell a few players who don't play in your starting XI and make up a decent amount of money (I am certain you can make up a good amount of money as your squad value is up there with mine, so is your stadium so your finances and my finances will be somewhat similar.
  • You've gotta sell your second team players, doesn't have to be all of them but at least some of them to buy quality players who will play in your first team.
  • Depth issues can always be solved, there will always be players who are available at external who even if they are technically useless are good subs.
  • Quality players however, who can play in your starting XI and that too for more than just one season, for multiple seasons will only be available for a certain amount of time.

That's my opinion :)

I agree with all of this except for the stadium size thing, most of south america has 50k + stadiums now, especially with Brazil preparing for the WC. 80k stadium doesn't guarentee attendance though, look at CSKA.

Oh and:

Araújo RAFFAEL has completed his move to Manchester United from Dynamo Kyiv in a swap deal for Da Silva EDUARDO

Uncontested, revelation for Schalke, ask any German expert :P

Marcel SCHÄFER has completed his move to Manchester United from VfL Wolfsburg in a swap deal for Gareth MCAULEY . All other offers were turned down.

In your face Pro :D

Stéphane SESSÈGNON has completed his move to Manchester United from Sunderland in a swap deal for Diego CASTRO . All other offers were turned down.

In your face Kirkky :D

---

Also, I can never understand why some managers actually spend MONEY for EXTERNAL players???? Surely you guys should know that money is the only way you can buy the free agents, some of whom are really good players? Save your money for Free agents guys! Use your existing players to PE for external players :)

I've never managed Barca myself but from viewing from different GWs I've never seen them have 90k attendance, ONCE, in 2.5 YEARS!:o:p
