I am currently trying to see how many players it is possible to loan out' date='I am a small club(Hayes) I have about 100 players its in the GBL Custom, I have 67 loaned out which means I am paying them no wages,great for my little club but Realism?

Surely if not a squad cap there must be a limit to how many players you can send out on loan,I am all for building up squads and having decent sized youth teams but the recent changes from SM are becoming a laughing stock.

25 senior (over age 23) players at most for the first squad sounds about right: in this way you get 11 titulars, 11 backup and 3 jolly players. I wouldn't put a limit on the youth team though.

-Small clubs might need to use many risers for profit to somehow challenge big teams with much better budget

-A good scout will be able to sign the youths he/she wants however after a youth player reaches age 23 he will be forced in choosing to promote him in first squad or not. Since the first squad places would be limited to 25, after that number you'll have to either sell a first squad member to leave a place for a promoted youth player or start selling youths players.

i was thinking about the whole player hogging/squad caps argue and i came across the most idealistic solution.

Increase the wage brackets currently used on SM.

now the game was started in 2006.

looking at the wage structure now for players rated 8?-99 - only picked one player from each rating

99- £110,250 per Turn

98-£104,250 per Turn

97-£97,950 per Turn

96-£91,800 per Turn

95-£85,800 per Turn

Managers would have to become far more savvy with wages & costs to manage a sides finances, they could run into a debt and keep all their superstars but it would just hinder buying new players. More sales would have to take place to balance books, therefore giving cash a use

I wouldnt impose a change on low rated players though, ie under 85, they work fine.

jaggers i did say to you before (i think was you) that 110,000 per turn is already 220k per week, you have one home game usually in that time.. putting up to 440k p/w would be impossible for smaller income clubs to pay that/other increases.

thats fine for bigger income clubs however, smaller clubs and espcially real small clubs who have invested in good players once these players start getting 90+ rating (under current wages) it is hard (wont say impossible) to keep your financis in the green let alone have some money to spend (seeing as tough everyone else has loads of cash) my drogs team 5k stadium are usually in the red untill i sell a decent playyer for cash, sold marc albreighton for about 15million couple months ago for instance, being doing this for years tbh & it's got to the point were i have no players left to sell.. even tough i only have one 90+ soon/far future i could have many more.. (do bare in mind that i don't buy risers and i do invest in youth quiet heavelly) all the same as it will be soon, il not have any cash, i'm going to have to sell one biggish* player & invest using risers for the first time, just to keep my current squad but don't think il go there.

I was thinking there could be a tax of xx% on attendences for all domestic/league fixtures, this way the massive attendence clubs would be contributing to the smaller clubs in the gameworld.

In a word?Awful idea.Thats the reason why SM isn't improving...concentrating on useless things and usually removing the good things.just think what if you're an awful tactician or you're simply unlucky and get relegated.You can't even fill half of stadium and even big teams will get in a big debt.If you don't want to see many internal deals in competitve GW go ahead with this awful idea.Not saying it'll be a nightmare for small clubs who must buy over 30 GOOD risers per season to be in the green.Wage structure is one of the last good things on SM.its good how it is already

I actually like the idea of raising wages, as it would definitely cut down on managers who hoard players.

However, as already mentioned, the one shortfall with such a change would be the effect on smaller clubs with smaller stadiums. There would be no way that they could continue to afford good players if wages went up significantly.

I think one of the underlying problems is gameday revenue. Teams with large stadiums will make more on gameday than teams with small stadiums. I believe that one of the best parts of SM is taking over a team in the lower divisions and managing your way into division 1, but gameday revenue makes it difficult for small teams to have enough good players to compete in the higher divisions.

One way to solve this would be to freeze gameday revenues. Each division in a gameworld would have a fixed gameday revenue, and each club would get the same funds per game no matter how large their stadium. As an alternative to raising wages, SM could also simply lower the funds each team makes per game.
