Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available!

Thought it would be interesting to hear everyones thoughts/predictions for the season ahead. Here are my predictions for who will be victorious in what competition (exc. European comp's);

Div1: Liverpool

Div2: Wolves

Div3: AFC Bournemouth

Div4: Bradford City

Div5: Man City....sorry Hyde. ;)

Cup: Man Utd

Shield: Liverpool

Ok' date=' so it seems that Red is the in colour this season then.

As for Spurs, well we may win a friendly or two.

:)[/center']

Changed it for you.In rest I don't care :D

We lost to Birmingham in a friendly' date=' and are barely beating other 2nd div sides

I'll keep the prediction at 15 :)

Tottenham to go top 2, Neymar to win the scoring title?[/quote']

Erm, i think you'll find that i am challenging for 15th place, so you've you got a battle on your hands. ;)

I'd rather see Heskey scoring 120 goals in 1 game.

It's funny you should say that as i was going to put Liverpool down as my prediction for Div1 Champs.......................................then i realised' date=' how is that possible? You haven't got Reus! :D[/center']

Maybe not but I got Shaqiri ;)

Pressure on my Bournemouth then. Lack of depth may hurt me during the 3 games a week period. Hopefully I can survive that and make your prediction come true.

Cambridge United end pre-season in style

Cambridge United put on a show at home to division 3 Coventry City by winning 5-0.

In a game which most would have expected a Coventry win, Cambridge took control from the start and found themselves 4-0 up at half time. On loan youngster Will Hughes again put in a MOTM worthy performance by scoring another 2 goals taking his pre-season tally to 5 goals in 4 games.

Under McColls control Cambridge only lost 1 game in pre season and certainly showed signs of promise for the season to come, the full pre-season results included;

Cambridge 0 - 3 Ispwich (Unmanaged)

Cambridge 3 - 1 Nuneaton Town

Cambridge 1 - 2 Hull City

Cambridge 1 - 1 Grimsby Town

Cambridge 3 - 1 Plymouth Argyle

Cambridge 5 - 0 Coventry City

Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available!

This is quite an achievment for my tiny wee Division 4 side

;)

Elohim (Forum) steered Port Vale to victory against Blackpool.

Port Vale beat Blackpool 1 - 0 in their Friendly fixture.

Bertrand had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match.

Myrie-williams was on the scoresheet for his side.

Myrie-Williams AGAIN with a goal !!! This'll be a great season for him !!

Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available!

Jesús RUEDA has completed his move to Colchester United from Valladolid for £352,000 plus Kemal IZZET

Adds abit of depth to the Center of midfield. Rueda is currently rated 82 and started the last 11 games in La Liga, so should get a +2 :)

Silva DIGAO has completed his move to Colchester United from Fluminense for £382,000 plus Matt HEATH and Jordan SANDERSON

Rose recently in the Brazil review. Hes a regular in defence for Fluminense, if it continues next season then he will rise again.

This is how my XI looks now for the opening game tomorrow:

Godzyur (80)

Gebre Selassie (86) Van Rhijn (80) Digao (82) Gibbs (87)

Dudu (82) Colak (83) Pamic (82) Iturbe (83)

Emenike (87) Reis (84)

Subs: Der Hoorn (78), Xhaka (78), Patosi (77), Carrasco (78), Stafylidis (80), Rueda (82), Alcacer (80)

Have enough money to improve the other CB or to sign a couple of risers. Im aiming to finish in the play-offs. :)

Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available!

Tonight's Friendly Report:

God 999 steered Middlesbrough to a comprehensive win last night. Middlesbrough thrashed Huddersfield 3-0 in their pre-season friendly. Coutinho netted twice and was the star performer of the game and was rightfully adjudged as the Man of the Match. Marcel Schmelzer was also on the scoresheet.

Good way to end of our pre-season, hopefully looking for a win in the season opener tonight. Haven't really done friendly reports so these are just my results to date:

Middlesbrough 4 Vs. Sheffield Wednesday 1

Goals: K. Thomson, G. Leadbitter, J. Woodgate, S. Mcdonald

Man of the Match: J. Woodgate

Middlesbrough 2 Vs. Bristol Rovers 3

Goals: Sassa Alves, Marcel Schmelzer

Man of the Match: Marcel Schmelzer

Middlesbrough 2 Vs. Watford 1

Goals: Philippe Coutinho, Jackson Martinez

Man of the Match: Roberto Firmino

Middlesbrough 1 Vs. Everton 6

Goal: Jackson Martinez

Middlesbrough 2 Vs. Wycombe Wanderers 0

Goals: Kyriakos Papadopoulos, Philippe Coutinho

Man of the Match: Kyriakos Papadopoulos

Happy with the friendly results even though they don't mean much, 4 wins and 2 losses, one to the unmanaged (at that time) Bristol Rovers which was a tight match and the obvious elephant in the room, the thrashing at the hands of Ash's Everton but that was expected :P. Looking forward to the season.

Predicted Finish: 14th

Key Player: Philippe Coutinho

Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available!

Deven Anand had this to say before the Huge Season opener. Where his side, Aston Villa will face Manchester United.

Manchester is a very strong side. One that many critics are saying will win the Premier League this year. Im hoping we can take at least one point one off them. I trust in my Team to play there best. And if we do play our best, we can beat anyone.

Re: EC 26335 - New Forum EC - Teams Available!

On vacation for the past 2 days and Hull City pays for it with successive draws over lower league opposition, 1-1 with Port Vale and 0-0 with Morecambe. Perhaps this team is sick of playing Div 4/5 sides everyday, but we have yet to concede from open play. Charlton will provide our first real competition in our Div 2 opener, but I'm confident we will rise to the occasion.
