BLONDIE/DEBORAH HARRY THREAD

Here's Blondie's ex Bass player GARY VALENTINE

Gary left BLONDIE in 1977, however, he wrote (I'M ALWAYS TOUCHED BY) YOUR PRESENCE DEAR for his girlfriend and he gave it to BLONDIE to use before he left. BLONDIE released it as a single.

Here's GARY'S version of the song

BLONDIE - HANGING ON THE TELEPHONE -

(GLASGOW APOLLO THEATRE Dec 31st 1979).

I was at this concert, it was the first time I saw BLONDIE live. I'd been a fan since 1978 (after hearing DENIS on the radio) and I managed to get a ticket for the Glasgow Apollo concert. (New Years Eve 1979)

it was brill and at midnight it became 1980 - wow

BLONDIE/DEBORAH HARRY THREAD

Just thought I'd mention that TOMMY KESSLER (Blondie Guitarist) is following me on twitter.

It's always good when a member of your favourite band follows you or is in contact in some capacity.

Re: Blondie/Deborah Harry thread

what caused the change?

Blondie have been asked that a lot - what's different to the early days regarding the songs etc.

Blondie say it was the new equioment they got, like electronic Instruments which helped them do different and better quality material

better quality - not meaning bad songs before, but the sound quality etc helped them.

I actually like Blondie's early songs as well
