Millwall FC

The Lion's Europa League adventure continues after a thrilling 5-4 aggregate victory over AS Saint-Etienne.

A quarter final tie with Malaga the reward.

Congratulations to Fulham, the other remaining English club in the competition whilst Liverpool are the sole surviving English representatives of The Champions League.

Good luck to all...

Birmingham claim a good point at leaders West Ham but a bit disappointing conceding late on and we need to turn draws into 3pts to cling on to 7th position in this unbelievably competitive league.

I'm glad you did, although they are not the leaders ;)

...for now anyway...:o

SMFA Shield Quarter Final Leg 1

Millwall 0 - 1 Malaga

Millwall were unable to prevent Malaga from scoring that all-important away goal in a tight game at The New Den.

The Lions have it all to do in the return fixture next Monday night at La Rosaleda.

Hull City 0 - MK Dons 2

Yassine Benzia scored a second half brace to help MK Dons see off relegation candidates Hull at the KC Stadium.

A crowd of 11,477 endured a dreary first half display in which there was little for either team to cheer or shout about. But a four minute spell on the 70th minute-mark saw Benzia put the MK Dons into the driving seat with two classy finishes.

Despite fielding an inexperienced back 3, manager Ben Magee watched on as his team were comfortable winners and came away with a clean sheet that never really looked like being threatened.

In his post-match interview, Magee remarked, "The boys gave it their all out there and we were first to every second ball, which really put Hull under pressure right from the first whistle. After we had kept them at bay for 25 minutes, I knew the home fans would start to get on their backs and give us the chance to really crank up the pressure. I'm proud of the composure and professionalism that we showed today, and this important win takes within 7 points of second placed Millwall with ten games to go. We've got it all to play for now."

MK Dons are set to play Millwall on 10 November in the third-to-last game of the season, and it could well prove to be a vital clash in the race for the second automatic promotion spot.

Re: English Championship 27777 - Discussion Thread

Benjo Benjo (Forum) steered Chelsea to victory against Wigan Athletic.

Chelsea outclassed Wigan Athletic and beat them 1 - 0 in their Division 1 fixture.

Hazard scored the winner for Chelsea and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Bizarrely, Chelsea have actually managed to find a bit of form in the league for a change. Won our last 5 league games however still 10pts off of 4th spot.

Some big games coming up inc. Spurs, Arsenal, Man Utd and Man City.
