Simultaneous equations:

1) x(squared) - y(squared) = 0

3x + 2y = 5

2) xy=6

4x - 3y = 6

3) x(squared) + xy + y(squared) = 7

2x + y = 4

Simultaneous equations:

1) x(squared) - y(squared) = 0

3x + 2y = 5

2) xy=6

4x - 3y = 6

3) x(squared) + xy + y(squared) = 7

As I said, easy (1) x^2 - y^2 = 0

x^2 = y^2

Thus, |x|= |y|

3x + 2y = 5

Hence, (1)x=y=1 or (2) x=5 y=(-5)

(2) xy=6

x = 6/y

4x - 3y = 6

4(6/y) - 3y = 6

24/y - 3y = 6

24 - 3y^2 = 6y

3y^2 + 6y - 24 = 0

3y^2+6y-24 = 0

First we need to put the equation in the form:

ax^2 + bx + c = 0

For this, we arrange the terms from the highest exponent to the lowest:

3y^2+6y-24 = 0

We have:

a=3 b=6 c=-24

We can now apply the quadratic formula:

x = ( -b ± √(b²-4ac) ) / 2a

We find two solutions:

y=2 or y=-4

(3) x^2 + xy + y^2 = 7

(x+y)^2 = 7

x+y = Square root of 7 (+/-)

If x+y is positive,

2x + y = 4

x + 2.65 = 4

If x+y is negative,

2x + y = 4

x - 2.65 = 4

Ok m8 that is a tad to hard for me m8 how about 2+2 thats a bit more my level. I honestly have no idea m8 and anyway what year is this in because it seems really hard and i am in year 9 and i haven't done anything like this and I'm good at maths.

All My Lessons Are These's in Days Order

Monday: Maths, English, BV, And PE

Tuesday: ICT, Science and Double Catering

Wednesday: Double Catering, Science and Art Textiles (Only Boy In The Class).

Thursday: PE, Maths, English, ICT

Friday: LF (Learning Family), Science, Art Textiles (Only Boy In The Class) and English.

It's A Well Good Week Everyweek.

Its that abacus thing isnt it? Like times tables and division! Like 5 x 5 would be 2/5. Or something like that! Man, that was like 11 or 12 years ago!! Lol. There is a board involved. ha ha. erm..... All i remember is that is bloomin nasty and algebra was easier.

You should see my project. I am getting marked on this s**t anyways. It's already 4000 words! It's due tomorrow. I know all the stupid main facts about it but what about the interesting things. Also, how is it related to place value?

I imagine it it is D.T and if so then what it is, is a piece of paper that is covered in pictures about your subject.

Say u want to make a Arsenal clock in D.T what u have to do is get loads of picture about the thing u want to do it about, on this occasion Arsenal so u might get the Arsenal flag, some key players and the stadium.

Do u see what i mean?
