Mia San Mia 7,151
Re: German Championship 7554 - Discussions,M/Rs & Transfers Team of the week | Episode Three (MSM Edition) The season is still in the early stages so this game day saw lots of changes in the table, in fact, only last and second-last kept their previous position. Hamburg shot to the top of the table but is tied on points with 7 other teams. Media reports out of Munich suggest that Bayern manager Elohim is already with his back against the wall due to still being winless after 3 games. Bayern president Hoeneß is said to be very unhappy that some of the world class Bayern players got shown the door and were replaced by rubbish. Goalkeeper | Fernando Muslera - The Uruguay keeper was voted MOTM in Frankfurt's win over Bremen after saving a whooping 16 of 17 shots on target. Rating: 9.5 Defender | Jan Vertonghen - Schalke's new signing earns himself a place in the team of the week for not only shutting down the Nürnberg offense by only allowing 6 shots on goal and 1 on target but by also scoring a beautiful chip over the keeper to mark the 1:0. Rating: 10 Defender | Mats Hummels - Similar to Vertonghen, the Dortmund defender had an immense game at the back as his team only allowed 6(2) shots and also scored the 1:0 lead with a long range shot. Rating: 9.5 Defender | Chris Smalling - The Englishman was voted MOTM in Düsseldorf's win over Augsburg after clearing many dangerous situations in and around the box and contributing his share to Düsseldorf keeping a clean sheet. Rating: 9 Midfielder | Luca Modric - The Croatian midfield general makes the team on the back of Hoffenheim's 2:0 away win against Hannover in which he dominated the middle of the pitch in familiar fashion. Rating: 9 Midfielder | Patrick Herrmann - Scoring a brace within 3 minutes not only won Mönchengladbach the game 2:0 but also gets the young German a spot in our team of the week. Rating: 9 Midfielder | James Rodriguez - Just beating his teammate Pirlo for the spot in our team of week, the talent from Cucuta had an immense game on the right wing scoring the first 2 goals in Frankfurt's 4:1 away win. Rating: 9.5 Midfielder | Carlos Tevez - Yes, you read correctly, the moody Argentine striker completes our midfield this week. Playing the unorthodox M© position, Tevez embraced his role and had a share in all of his teams 3 goals scoring the first 2 himself and setting up the third one. Rating: 9.5 Forward | Pablo Osvaldo - Düsseldorf had only 2 shots on target all game but the striker out of Buenos Aires made them count by scoring both of them in a (some say deserved, some say undeserved) Düsseldorf win. Rating: 9 Forward | Neymar - The showboating Brazilian with the awful hair played a big role in Stuttgart's first win of the season by not only scoring the first goal but also constantly looking dangerous and requiring 2,3 men to defend him. Rating: 9 Forward | Fernando Llorente - As if I am gonna make a Team of the Week without including a player of my own... The tall Spaniard sent Hamburg to the top of the table by scoring the only goal of the day in his MOTM performance in the win against Greuther Fürth. Rating: 9 MUTD MUTD (Raz) - VfB Stuttgart: It wasn't a pretty win but after starting the season with 2 losses, 3 points is all what counts. Jan Vertonghen - Schalke 04 As already mentioned, solid at the back and scoring the goal of the week with a chip over the keeper. Not all too shabby for a defender. iAwesome - Hannover 96 It was a tough one between iAwesome and Elohim but the Hannover gaffer edges it this week by becoming the only manager to have lost all 3 games of the season so far. Cesc Fabregas - Hoffenheim The Spanish international must have felt awful being subbed in in the 60th minute only to be subbed out again 15 minutes later in the 75th minute despite earning a match rating of 8 in his short time on the pitch. ashtini and .El Nino
