Re: German Championship 7554 - Discussions,M/Rs & Transfers

Eintracht Frankfurt 1-2 Hamburg

As we have mentioned last week, first-placed Hamburg traveled to second-placed Frankfurt.

The game wasn't as close as the scoresheet might suggest as Hamburg absolutely battered Frankfurt in their own stadium.

We played a great game but were lacking that ruthlessness in front of goals and I was fearing for the worst as you know what football is like: if you don't convert your chances, it will likely bite you in the bum.

Thankfully it didn't this time.

Frankfurt started the game in ferocious fashion going 1:0 up after only 4 minutes. De Rossi passes to James Rodriguez who just walks through my defense and scores the goal. I was quite peed off with my backline who looked to be still in the locker room mentally.

A loud yell across the pitch woke the team up though and we started to play that attacking brand of football which has served us so well in the past games.

It was Frankfurt keeper Muslera though who saved our efforts on goal time after time and the score line was still 1:0 after half an hour.

That changed shortly after though. Luis Suarez found himself in a space and drove a low cross in to Fernando Llorente who flicked the ball into the net for the equalizer.

1:1 Half-time.

We continued with our dominant performance in the second half but once again couldn't fit the net.

It took us until the 80th minute to finally score the deserved winner. Once again it was Suarez who played a beautiful through ball to Marcel Jansen who fired it in.

All in all, it was a deserved win as we had 19 shots on goal to Frankfurt's 6 shots. The 3 points sees us maintain our spot at the top of the table.

Next up is a trip to Stuttgart.

you won 6-1 , my keeper is 94 yours 90 , you scored 6 from 7 shots ...why the number of shots on target should be relevant in this case ? :D

-Bayerns latest signing terrifies their opponents-

So, after 4 extremely unsatisfying results ... 3 draws and 1 loss ... Something had to be done ... clearly Mandzukic wasn't good enough to be first choice ... nor 2nd choice ... but since the hype surrounding him made him quite pricey ... We decided to ship him off!!

SergioAguero_1586833a.jpg

Sergio AGÜERO has completed his move to B. Munich from Manchester City for 14,000,000 plus Mario MANDŽUKIĆ and Diego CONTENTO

Wether Kün will form a partnership with either Gomez or with Gameiro, one thing is clear ... he'll tear Bundesliga to pieces!

Re: German Championship 7554 - Discussions,M/Rs & Transfers

Team of the week | Episode Four (MSM Edition)

Better late than never, here you will find the team of the week for gameday 4.

44201.jpgGoalkeeper | Bernd Leno - No goalkeeper really stood out so Leno gets the honour for keeping a clean sheet by saving all 9 shots on target.

Rating: 8

42358.jpgDefender | Victor Wanyama - Stuttgart's defender gets called up for not only having a decent game at the back but also scoring the important equalizer in the 76th minute.

Rating: 8

18338.jpgDefender | Thiago Silva - The Brazilian defender was voted MOTM in Dortmund's 2:1 home win against Wolfsburg after restricting them to only 4 shots on target.

Rating: 8.5

2370.jpgDefender | Giorgio Chiellini - The last defender spot in our team of the week could have gone to a few players but Chiellini makes it for having yet another very solid game. He is not only the boss of the league's strongest defense but also boosts the highest average rating of all defenders so far.

Rating: 8.5

4562.jpgMidfielder | Bastian Schweinsteiger - The world class German midfielder was the only bright spot in a disappointing Bayern performance. He scored both his team's goals but it still wasn't enough.

Rating: 9

4773.jpgMidfielder | Aaron Hunt - Schweinsteiger was great but Bremen midfielder Aaron Hunt still managed to upstage him. Hunt scored 2 goals and assisted the third to lead his team to a win against the Bavarians.

Rating: 10

6378.jpgMidfielder | Luis Suarez - The Uruguayan with yet another excellent performance providing both Hamburg assists in their win against 2nd-placed Frankfurt.

Rating: 9

19.jpgMidfielder | Cesc Fabregas - This was a tough one as there were a few midfielders deserving a spot in our team this week but Fabregas snatches it by scoring both goals and ruling the middle of the pitch in Hoffenheim's 2:0 victory against Düsseldorf.

Rating: 9

14228.jpgForward | Juan Mata - Mata played a big offensive role and scored twice in Schalke's draw against Mönchengladbach.

Rating: 9

34893.jpgForward | Robert Lewandowski - The Polish star striker set up both Dortmund's goals in the win against Wolfsburg

Rating: 9.5

22.jpgForward | Robin van Persie - Van Persie joins his fellow Dortmund teammate Lewandowski and caps off our team of the week. The Dutch was absolutely lethal in front of goal scoring twice.

Rating: 10

iAwesome - Hannover 96

After being "honoured" with Flop Manager of the week last time, he turned it around this week and made sure Hannover finally gets off the mark. They not only got their first win of the season after 3 losses but also passed the bottom spot in the table on to Wolfsburg.

Aaron Hunt - Werder Bremen

As already mentioned, he took the team on his back and was the sole reason Bremen left the Allianz Arena with 3 points.

Elohim - Bayern Munich

He almost got it last week and losing at home against Bremen sealed the deal this week. Still winless with Bayern after 4 matches.

Joe Hart - Stuttgart

England's goalkeeper had a mare and denied his team 3 points by letting in the only 2 shots on target Greuther Fürth had all game in what was an otherwise dominant Stuttgart performance.

Ashley Rodgerson earned a draw with Borussia Dortmund against Werder Bremen.

The match ended 1 - 1 between Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen in their Division 1 fixture.

Van Persie scored the only goal for Borussia Dortmund and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Annoying! Had a goal ruled out that would've put us 2 up and missed a couple chances to win it late on.

A point away to these isn't the end of the world though I suppose :P
