Bradford City V Crewe Alexandra in EC 474

Mondi's bradford got off to a great start with a confident win.

It ended 2 - 1.

The first goal of the match came from Guylain N'DUMBU NSUNGU who scored on the edge of the box

Then in the second half, Fangzhuo DONG takes a leaf out of Ronaldos books and does a few stepovers, then slots the ball home neatly, (thank god he didnt dive when he got tackled)

And then, Nicky MAYNARD scores a neat header and give Crewe Alexandra hope, but the defence stayed solid and the matche finished 2 -1.

Bantams Update

Bradford City 1-1 Rotherham United

Sam Duncam opened the scoring for the away side, after only eight minutes. And Rotherham held on, until only three minutes were left on the clock as Mauricio Romero struck for Bradford. A poor home result, also with a poor performance.

Crewe Alexandra 1-1 Bradford City

Crewe begun the match at the top of the table, and were hot favourites for the win, yet Bradford snatched a point, and again grabbed a late goal. Nicky Maynard, the league's top goalscorer, scored on twenty-four minutes, giving the home side the lead. On-loan Birmingham striker Cameron Jerome scored with two minutes left to get a good away point in Crewe.

Bradford 5-0 Rochdale

After a slow start in England's bottom tier, Ross Philp saw his men hopefully kick-start their season tonight. It was five of the manager's signings who grabbed the win tonight, as they thrashed Rochdale at Valley Parade. Just under 17,000 saw Bradford's win.

---

Midfielder Paolo De Ceglie scored after fourteen minutes, with a delictae chip, using his pace to beat the keeper to the through ball. Roberto Roger made it two, heading the inswinging corner past Rochdale keeper James Spencer.

---

Into the second half, and Bradford made it a rout scoring three times in half an hour. On fifty-five minutes, full back Luca Rossettini scored, after beating the offside trap. Martins Marcelo Moreno marked his Bantams debut with a late brace for the side, effectively turning the win into a hammering. Marcelo Moreno smashed his first venomously into the roof of the net, and then nodded the ball home from an eighty-fifth minute corner.

---

20015_news.jpg

The twenty-year old's debut up front saw him grab two goals tonight. He gained a performance rating of ten, yet lost out on the MOM award, to on-loan strike partner Cameron Jerome.

---

Bradford move to fourth in the division four, one point behind all three sides above them. The Bantams sit on eleven points in fourth, behind MK Dons, Cheltenham and Brighton who occupy the promotion places. Next up for Bradford, is an away tie at Bournemouth, after a bye in Monday's cup game.

---

Just before his rating increase, Ross Philp managed to snatch Roberto Roger from Internacional for a measly £125k. The midfielder started on the left tonight, and got a goal on his debut for Bradford. Future stars Fornaroli and Scorza also joined the English side, for a combined fee of £30k. Philp is also trying to lure Yildirim Sercan from Bursaspor, and Andy King to Bradford, hoping to complete deals for both of them tomorrow morning.

Re: Bradford CFC Challenge! Transfers/Match Reports etc.

It has been 5 days since anyone posted anything on this thread so i was wondering is anyone still doing this challenge.

I have changed setups because i pressed the wrong button and deleted my old Bradford so i had to start a new one and my new one is in EC 511.

Bournemouth 1-2 Bradford City

Sebastian Giovinco scored on 15 minutes, giving Bradford an early lead, settling the away side. His defelected goal, was followed up fifteen minutes later by a second goal for the Bantams, by Roberto. Roberto's tap in, was followed again three minutes later, by a goal from Bournemouth's Josh Gowling. Bradford held on for the three points, and sit in fourth.

10.gif74.gif

Bradford City 0-1 Stockport County

Bradford were totally outplayed tonight as they lost their first game of the season. The home side never really threatened througout this match, and lost a goal on 9 minutes. Stockport's striker Anthony Elding got the goal which turned out to be the eventual winner for the visitors. Roberto, the scorer of last week's winner, was red carded on the half hour mark for a professional foul.

Currently we have 3 mil in the bank and will not make any new signings until our talent scouts find another gem in the rough. I'm confident that this team will be able to provide a challenge to the BIG teams in 1 or 2 seasons more due to the high percentage of young talents in the team. First match is at 9th of February against LUTON.

Re: Bradford CFC Challenge! Transfers/Match Reports etc.

You've got the best team 100% insider' date=' how you didn't get promoted baffles me, but you'll be one of the top to the Prem with that solid, young team.:)[/quote']

You'd think Quagliarella would dominate an EC div 4 wouldn't you? 7 matches, 2 goals only.

He does have 8.71 average Performance though :D

I'm undefeated in 8 in the new season, top of the league by a single point, and the next three are tied. So I STILL might not make it :D

Re: Bradford CFC Challenge! Transfers/Match Reports etc.

I've just finished my first season of this challenge, and got promoted at the first time of asking. My record is pretty good, but could be better:

P W D L F A GD Pts

38 24 9 5 74 34 40 81

I finished champions of Division 4 in EC478, 7 points clear of second placed Peterborough United. I'm very confident of finishing highly, if not getting promoted, in Division 3 next season.

Insider, you've assembled a quality squad, without doubt the best I've seen thus far, but I don't think my squad is that far off yours :D ! I currently only have 3 players left from the original squad, which will only be 1 after tonight's deals have been completed. This is my championship winning squad:

(* = Players remaining from original squad)

My player of the season, as well as my top goalscorer, has to be Martins Marcelo Moreno. With an average rating of 8.17, and 16 goals scored, he really was influencial in my league dominance. An absolute bargain at only £15k, he is now worth over £3m!

In a close second came Fabian Assman, my ever-present goalkeeper, who had an average rating over the whole season of 8.13, keeping 13 clean sheets and conceding less than a goal per game.

Next season, I'm expecting big things of Krkic Perez Bojan, who's rating increased by 7 just 2 games before the end of the season.

Hopefully, in a couple of days time, there'll be no trace of the original squad remaining. This is because I'm in the process of buying Patricio Rodriguez (the Argentinian Pato) from Independiente for £10k + Ben Saynor + Thomas Harban. He'll go straight into my youth team to give him time to develop in real life. After this, I'm going back to Independiente to buy Sergio Escudero for around £1.2m + Simon Ainge, as Escudero is likely to rise to around 84/85 in the next rating changes after many appearances this season. This means I'll have no players left from the original Bradford City squad I had at the start of the season!

I'm also looking to buy Josh Walker (18-year-old Boro central midfielder, currently playing regular football on loan at Aberdeen, which should mean a good increase from 79).

I'm working on a few signings with the money from winning the league and the chairman's money, including Daniel Sturridge. Two players I'd love to sign are Diego Valeri and David Wheater, but I still think I'll be able to get promoted with or without them.

I'm really enjoying this challenge - more than I expected - and I'm looking forward to Division 1 in 2 seasons time! :P
