Out of the relegation zone as well. :)

Grimsby Town 3 - 1 Luton Town

Yildiz (7')

Dehn (63')

Simsek (64') (MOTM)

Good result for myself; lifting me up to 16th in the table.

Also good for the Notts County manager as Dehn made his debut from signing on loan and scored - and he's a defender!

Full division report will be posted when I can be bothered...

Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread

Arsenal are now hopefully finding there stride after a dodgy start, winning our last two league games and drawing our game prior to that.

A brace from Cavani seals a deserving win after going 1 down to a Poli goal on 54 minutes.

Up next is the not so mighty Man Utd who are in the depths of despair and should sack there manager immediately.

Who is the manager anyway? :P

Div 1

NEWCASTLE 2 SOUTHAMPTON 2

The Beast Mbokani knicks a point

Saints came back twice to gain a point at Newcastle.

It was a deserved result for the visitors - who took nealy 60% possession on the night.

Denisov equalised a Hulk opener for the Magpies to send the teams in at half time level at 1-1

Negredo restored Newcastle's lead before a late Mbokani goal grabbed a point that sees Southampton lying in 5th place and 7 points behind the leaders after 6 matches

Re: English Championship 28697 Discussion Thread

A fact lost on our impressive victory over Arsenal was that we remained winless over 90 minutes away from home. That fact haunted us here in a 1-1 draw against Braintree. No idea how we failed to win, but it seems like we faced John Cena in goal! Outnumbering the opposition on both possession and SOT, the GK saved everything but Zardes, the only visitor who beat him got MOTM. Also have the "convenient" injury of Ryan Williams to deal with.

In better news, we've signed the midfield duo of Evans Nyarko and Josh Pritchard. Deliberated over which man to sign, but decided to get both in at the expense of wages. Being an African and playing in Norway respectively, these two should have great understanding with captain Sakor.

On a brighter note, after another quitter/loser :D

Andy Burr steered Aldershot Town to victory against Hyde.

Aldershot Town beat Hyde 3 - 0 in their Division 5 fixture.

Scaglia scored a goal and was later voted Man of the Match for his performance.

Capello was also on the scoresheet for his side.

Really happy after this victory, against one of the stronger sides in div5. I believe we should of got more, but again we came up against a goalkeeper who is in sensational form this season.

Hope we can hold on to play-off positions for a few more games at least...just to set a benchmark for the rest of the season.
