Al Ain were the visitors the following week with coach Cosmin Olăroiu looking to gain momentum in the promotion race. New boys Nicolás López, Juan Quintero, Olivier Torres and Yassine Benzia all get on the scoresheet in a 5-1 win to move one point clear in Division Three.

Promotion on the cards

Dubai

DIV 3/ W 4-3 Arbil

DIV 3/ D 2-2 Al Jazira

DIV 3/ W 3-0 Petrojet

Al Ahli had to battle for a point against a very competitive Arbil team that were 1-3 up at half time. Nicolas Lopez scored a double before Qays Shayestehs` 80 minute winner.

A disappointing result then followed with a draw against underperforming Al Jazira who currently sit 5th. Al Ahli had to come from behind twice earn the point against pre-season title favourites. Young guns Lopez and Benzia got the all and important goals. Petrojet followed and a game which the scoreline flattered to deceive .A comfortable 3-0 win for Al Ahli but it could have been a lot more after Petrojet goalkeeper Ahmed Fawzi had the match of his life saving other five goals from the scoreline.

Four games remain and Al Ahli sit four points clear in first. Grafite is Al Ahlis` top goalscorer with eight goals after Al Jaziras` Ricardo Oliviera with Oliviera played one game more. Grafite is the leagues best performer with seven man of the match awards but Yassine Benzia has stunned all with seven goals in seven games with also three assist`s. Nicolas Lopez has two man of the match awards in his first season at Al Ahli.

Promotion Sealed, Championship in Reach

Dubai

_________________________________

DIV 3/ L 0-1 Al Gharafa

DIV 3/ W 5-1 Bnei Yehuda

DIV 3/ W 8-1 Al Rayyan

So with promotion sealed this week there only leaves one more objective for Cosmin Olăroiu to archive this year. At the start of the season Al Ahli looked for a respectable league position but as the year draws on it has to be classed as a very successful season. Four games remained before the trip of Al Gharafa. Al Ahlis` unbeaten run in the league ended when Sammy Ameobi netted in the one nil defeat.

Al Ahli had a chance to redeem themselves when they visited Bnei Yeduda. Luckily the team pulled themselves around and netted five in a 5-1 win. Grafite two, Benzia Pen with goals also from Ilie and All Hammadi grabbed promotion too Div two. Al Rayyan visited next and was a rout from start to finish. 8-1 with Benzia grabbing five and living up to his Fans Player of The Year award. Star player Juan Quintero got two more whilst Nicolas Lopez grabbed the eighth of the game.

Champions

Dubai

_________________________________

DIV 3/ W 3-2 Beitar Jerusalem

Today marks a historic moment in Al Ahlis` history with the confirmation of the championship title heading to Dubai. At the start of the year the team was under construction but now after all eighteen league games played, Al Ahli sit top of the table and already looking ahead too next year.

Players such as Olivier Torres, Nicolas Lopez and Juan Quintero could be heading for big money moves elsewhere. Manager Cosmin Olăroiu has drawn up a list of possible signings to strengthen for next year but a deal for Yassine Benzia has become his top priority. Benzia is currently on loan and has had a fantastic season scoring fourteen goals in ten games, quite an achievement for the eighteen year old. Al Ahlis` last game was against Beitar Jerusalem who missed out on automatic promotion to Arbil. The game ended 3-2 to Al Ahli with star man Grafite netting the winner in the 83rd minute. Qays Shayesteh and Benzia also scored in who could be Benzia`s last game for the Dubai club.

Throughout the season Al Ahli scored a total of 51 goals 4 clean sheets and 1 red card, Had total attendance of 17,070 and finished 6 points clear of second place. Players wages were a staggering £4,325,445 for the whole season which dented the profits made this year of £33,618,120. Total expenditure was £29,990,852 earning a profit of around £2,500,000.

I'm currently having computer issues so I shall return a.s.a.p
