"Unbelievable. How can we lose in the last 10 minutes for a second straight game? I don't think our defenders could have played any worse. Just because we have Buffon in net doesn't mean they can fall asleep out there. Next game is a must win."

Friends turn enemies in the clash between Lazio and Inter and the famous Olimpico where Lazio try to continue there brilliant run of results resulting in only one loss this season against AC Milan. Lazio and Inter have the same amounts of points but Inter's shock run of form have cost them being of first place.

Sinar commented," Inter should be 1st by now, but this won't stop them from going all out on us, that's why I've changed the formation and so we can match the opposition. Good luck to Inter and Sparky".

Werder_Bremen.png

1st Place Hertha BSC Berlin vs 2nd Placed Werder Bremen, the match ended in a 1-1 draw but Bremen controlled all the game. The Number of shots Bremen had compared to Berlin was mass. Bremen fell down to 4th Place and 4 points behind leaders Berlin and 1 point away from 2nd place VFL Bochum.

Marko Pantelic opened the scoring for Berlin with a casual goal as the Bremen defence were sleeping. Bremen leveled with 18 Minutes to go with Luis Fabiano once again scoring for Bremen from a Deflected shot.

Sir Travis quits his post at VFL Wolfsburg.

Sir Travis has decided to leave the team, after a lacksture run in just 6 matches. "I was told that this team had everything, but that was false. Good luck to the next manager who takes over them. I cannot stomach my team losing 3-0 week in and out, against terrible teams. Looks like the pre-season target of Europe should be replaced with staying away from relegation." he was named a caretaker boss for Northampthon Town for the last match. The team managed a draw. All interested clubs who want to have Sir Travis are welcomed to contact him.

Re: Gold Championship 9 - Match reports / Transfers thread

Rangers 0 - 2 Kilmarnock

What a result for Killie. The away side recorded their 3rd straight league win in a row here, moving the club up to 4th position in the Scottish Premier League.

The away side opened the scoring on 24 minutes when Rodrigo Tiui managed to scramble the ball over the line after a goalmouth scramble in the Rangers 6 yard box, then Rodrigo Tiui got his 2nd of the game and 5th league goal of the season so far when the Rangers defence went wanting and he casually slid the ball home on 33 minutes. Kilmarnock might not have dominated the game but they certainly didn't care after this magnificent result.

Killie have already gone out of the Scottish Cup after a 2-1 defeat against Hamilton Academicals and will probably go out of the Scottish Shield when they face Airdrie United next as the club play their 2nd string side in the cup competitions so they can focus on the club's league finish. Next up in the league for Kilmarnock is a home game against Aberdeen, where a win will move Killie up to at least 3rd in the league.

P.S. Credit where due Shels :D

Lazio 4-1 Inter

Lazio took on Inter Milan finishing in a one team match. Lazio had thrashed Inter Milan and now move up to 5th in the table, equal on points with 3rd and 4th. Sergei Semak was the MOM after scoring a hat-trick and Stefano Mauri finished them off while Inter got a consolation but it proved nothing.

Sinar commented," I can't believe the result, absolutely shocking. To beat Inter is one thing because they are one of the best. Praise goes to the team and Semak. We face Catania on Thursday, where they haven't had much form but we will watch out for them".

Ajax 3-1 GBA

Both sides came into this match in a high league position, but were without a win in their last two matches. Ajax were looking to bounce back from a 4-3 away defeat at Roda JC last Wednesday, while GBA looked to continue as they drew with Feyenoord.

After ten minutes, Victor Figueroa did not even go for the ball, the ref showing him a straight red card. After 25 minutes, Evgeni Aldonin saw his near post header come back off the woodword, before GBA took the lead six minutes later. Midfielder Hernan Losada dummied the keeper and slid the ball into the empty net. That goal spurred on the visitors and their fans, as they sensed an upset in Amsterdam.

stekelenburg_1.jpg

((Ajax keeper Stekelenburg, could do nothing about Hernan Losada's opener for GBA))

Six minutes into the second half, Cassio Lincoln smashed a 25-yard shot against the GBA crossbar, as Jan Moons looked on. Then Ajax got an equaliser through 20-year old striker Luis Suarez who hit an amazing overhead kick, with fantastic athleticism. And only three minutes later, on the 66th minute, Edgar Davids hit it early leaving the goalkeeper stranded. And with only one minute left, Luis Suarez made sure of the three points for Ajax, as he capitalised on a defensive error, to score his fourth goal in six league appearances.

00004929.jpg

((Ajax teenage sensation, is delighted after the match, with his fourth goal of the season))

''Well we go back into the top two, behind high-flying Roda JC who seem unstoppable and don't even have a manager at the helm. They tonight, travelled to Liege and defeated them by two goals to nil. But, its imminent that they will begin to fall''.

Philp went on, ''After his suspension, Luis came back into the side, and is stealing the thunder of his strike partner Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, with four goals already this season. Edgar had a fantastic game, with MOM and a goal to cap it off for him''.

Captain Klaas-Jan Huntelaar gave his response to his side's win, ''We are playing really well, and although I'm not firing on all cylinders at the moment, all that matters is that the team is winning. Luis is playing fantastically and I am hopeful''.

FC Utrecht 0-1 Ajax

Ajax won again tonight away at FC Utrecht. The match took place in De Galgenwaard in Utrecht and Ajax would face a tough tie to get the three points here to keep the pressure on, unbeaten-at-the-top and also unmanaged, Roda JC.

On 20 minutes, the only goal of the game and the winner for Ajax was scored by captain and striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. He took the ball in and hit it early leaving FC Utrecht keeper Samir Handanovic. On 36 minutes, Urby Emanuelson was booked.

klaas-jan_huntelaar.jpg

((Skipper Klaas-Jan Huntelaar gave Ajax the lead with his 20th minute goal))

On 61 minutes Urby Emanuelson received a straight red card, not a second yellow, for headbutting an opponent. The defender was clearly provoked but that was no way to react. On 71 minutes, Hans Somers who looked lively for the hosts, saw his strike come back off the crossbar. Cassio Lincoln was cautioned on 75 minutes.

16361_news.jpg

((Above, celebrating Huntelaar's goal, the 21-year old showed inexperience, being sent off for headbutting an opponent))

Huntelaar showed his Klaas

"I am very pleased with this win. Luis Suarez has been scoring for us lately, but tonight Jan showed his skill by getting the all important goal which I believe takes us joint top in the league. Urby was very stupid and will unfortunately miss our next three matches in all competitions. Anyway, we got the three points", said Ross Philp
