Re: The Forum Rumour Thread

lol every Chelsea player is apparently Mourinho's top target :confused::eek:

Yeah, but remember, he and the chairman both stated that there won't be many changes, although he's got 100m....

The base of the squad will remain the same, he's only after a few - Lampard, Drogba, Essien, Quaresma, Carvalho, Ashley Cole.... no, not many... and he will only let Adriano, Crespo, Stankovic, Burdisso and Suazo go... the no changes at all...

Re: The Forum Rumour Thread

Could someone explain to me why players who play in big clubs like Manchester United, still want to go to Spain to join Real Madrid or Barcelona. Isn't playing in such a big club satisfying? Don't the original big club offer big wages anyways? I just find it weird how Real Madrid is such a player magnet around the world, with many players dreaming to wear the white shirt O_o

He must feel like he conquered England and wants a new challenge in Spain...

Or he just wants to play spanish football now and feels its the right time in his career to do this...

Or he just really prefers Madrid...

One word - Money. Players get massive wages.

Aside from that Madrid is a beautiful city with great weather and is a lot more glamourous than anywhere that places like Manchester can offer.

Re: The Forum Rumour Thread

Doesn't Manchester United pay massive wages?

Many reasons why he'd want to move:

1) He's won most of what there is no win with an English club, and personal awards too.

2) Real Madrid are renowned as the BIGGEST club in the world, bigger than Man U.

3) Real have a huge history.

4) They are from one of the nicest countries, CLOSE TO PORTUGAL (which might attract his attention), and finally, they are in a league just as strong as the English one, so he's not losing anything, just moving to another league with new challenges.

And I almost forgot... they are the richest club in the world...

Thanks for everyone answering my question :D Really appreciate the enlightenment to a newbie like me in the world of soccer.

However I still find it funny how C.Ronaldo is linked with a club who haven't made it through the first round of knockout phase of UEFA Champions League for the past few years... lol
