I'll probably mostly talk about the Italian NT on the Serie A thread but I think I'll also come here I really like how Prandelli picked players from Parma and Torino along with even Romulo which was quite the surprise. WC 2014, I'll be supporting Italy and Holland I don't know about you mate, but if I were Prandelli, I'd rather use Immobile up front than Balo. Maybe Cerci and Immobile can play together, if Italy gets to the 3rd group stage match qualified for the last 16. Or if they are eliminated by then, but that's pretty unlikely imo. In recent years, the Russian jersey, both home and away, looks good, with all the little details, watermarks and to top it off it has a nice shade of red, burgundy. The Euro 12 kit was a one off. With Germany and Brazil the obvious 2 to be in the final... Germany may just snatch The 4th World cup title under their belt. Reason Being is simple, Brazil are way to laid back. I Don't care how good you are, if you don't use your full potential, it's worthless. Brazil play for fun, they don't play to win anymore, and that's why they will lose. Unlike Germany, who play to win. A bit crazy aggressive on the Attack, but they have solid defense and a goalkepper that can handle himself against Messi and Christiano Ronaldo! Germany will win this final either by a perfect corner in the 90+3 minute mark, or they will win in the penalty shoot out, since I've never really seen them lose a penalty shoot out before. Team Germany - World Cup 2014 - Brazil Now, they won't win without a fight though... No No No, Brazil will prove to be better opponents than even Spain, but as long as Germany plays like they did in 2012 against Brazil, they will win not only the FIFA, but the Euro after that. All Hail The German Soccer Team and be in Awe off Their Glory! ashtini

ashtini 27,252
Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread Oh deary me; Uruguay's World Cup preparations have been thrown into turmoil with the news that the Premier League's player of the season, Luis Suarez, has picked up a knee injury.Suarez felt discomfort after twisting his knee in training, and tests later revealed meniscus damage. The Liverpool forward will undergo surgery as soon as possible and, according to the Uruguay camp, he should be ready for the World Cup. However, that is in some doubt. Recovery from this type of injury normally takes between 4-6 weeks, and Suarez would be pushing those limits. At the very least, the procedure will cut down on his ability to train leading up to Uruguay's opening match at the World Cup, against Costa Rica on June 14. Uruguay play England on June 19, four weeks away.
