Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

Klinsmann think about the future that he knows they don't stand a chance against Germany and Cristiano :P

He's not really thinking about the future.

He doesn't get along with Donovan. There was an article in the newspaper stating that Klins thinks Donovan is soft and a fragile player.

I'll try and see if I can dig it up.

Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

Reports are that Llorente, Negrado, Navas, Moreno and Iturraspe have all been cut from the Spain world cup squad.

I have seen the tweet from Negrado about going back to Sevilla and starting his vacation so i think he has definitely been cut.

Look at that Malmö badge. :) I'm delighted for Miiko, he's only played 2 games and yet he's impressed enough to make the final cut (Against Egypt, he played in an unfamiliar position as a CB and he did well). I hope gets an opportunity to play in Brazil and hopefully he impresses.

I said before that I was gonna root for Bosnia, now I'm gonna also root for Chile. Viva la Chile! :)

Also Ash, Accam didn't make Ghana's final cut. So all in all, today was a good day. :D

Another win for Belgium, now 0-2 against Sweden. Match decided by 2 flashes of Lukaku and Hazard (nice goal, but he played so poor

:(). The match wasn't good at all, especially or backs Vermaelen and Alderweireld play really poor. We will be very vulnerable at the wings. Friendlies against Japan and Colombia already proved it. Sakai and Honda make our defence look rubbish! That's why I count South-Korea as our most difficult opponent in the group stages. Their fast players will certainly hurt our defence. Anyway I hope we can come far, our central midfield looks really solid! Especially Lukaku seems in great form, I expect a lot of him. Especially against Russia he should be able to score against the slow CB's. He already scored 2 goals a year ago in a friendly against them.

Nice long range kick of Lukaku, 4 goals in 2 games. He is on fire!

Great (and the only one) action of Eden Hazard, nice back heel of De Bruyne

Nice try of Kevin De Bruyne, he will be great in Brazil I think.

Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

Is Origi related to the manager ? I see better names on the standby list

Wilmots choose Origi, because he has the profile that is most similar to the profile of Benteke. You shouldn't underrate Origi, for me Batshuayi and Origi are in balance. I even think Origi is better, because he has a better mentality. Apparently he learns very fast at the trainings and played already 2 friendlies as a substitute. I really think he will grab some minutes in Brazil. Wilmots had to take at least one of them with, otherwise Lukaku was the only real striker.

The only thing I blame Wilmots, is the fact he choose Defour instead of Nainggolan. Radja is very underrated in Belgium and Wilmots prefers Defour because he already played with Fellaini and Witsel in Standard Liege and played some games at the campaign for the WC.

Makes for scary reading with 1 forward but Muller, Podolski and Schurrle can all play up top.

Loving Durm in there.
