Nice little double, sweated on both Colombia & Uruguay :)

Rooney is horse, discount the goal he had the touch of a baby elephant in both games and squandered countless chances.

Cahill I think has been the best player and Joe Hart considering the start of last season has learned from his lessons and has come on leaps and bounds.

So now Gerrard's responsible for Liverpool's title loss and England's elimination.

Sad' date=' but kind of comical too.

Speaking of jokers, Joe Hart desperately needs to look for a new job.[/quote']

He's not responsible for England's elimination, he's partly responsible for Suarez's second goal but if they were to go out it's not down to one moment. Had England taken their chances against Italy and Uruguay they'd have effectively qualified by now.

It's that one moment that makes a huge difference though, doesn't it?

A top, top goalkeeper would have kept that out, and despite having some good reflexes, Joe Hart doesn't have consistency, and is therefore not a top keeper.

Agreed that the other 10 didn't really pull their weight either, but a solid keeper helps a lot, just ask Mexican fans.

Nah. Not all on Gerrard. Most players took less responsibility, with the ball constantly being shoved to Gerrard, who towards the end did start looking shaky. But he didn't go into the trying-to-do-everything-myself mode...unlike Rooney (unfortunately). And all in all, he carried a lion's share of the responsibility to create something throughout the two games.

Something in his facial expression right before the goal really worried me, the gesturing seemed more frantic and most importantly his ball movement and reflexes seemed slower.
