Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

how do you even insert those thingies

It's not that hard actually.

You have to put an "i" around the letter you want the two dots to have. Most computers automatically merge the letters then.

So "ä" would be writing "i,a,i" in a row. (put the commas inbetween to showcase; otherwise they'd merge)

Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

Switzerland will beat Argentina.

Shaqiri can get past the weak Argentine defence' date='

Messi can be stopped as he was against Iran + Bosnia.[/quote']

I think Argentina and Brazil will reach at least the semis.

2 NTs that can easily get a lot of people inside a Brazilian stadium.

So unless FIFA is feeling less greedy than usual, they'll reach at least the semis. :o

It all depends on FIFA, Zlook.

If they want to make more money, Argentina and Brazil will reach at least the semis.

My analysis is not only football based, buddy.

It's an analysis based on a large experience of watching World Cups.

Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

Is everybody on some high-quality crack?

There is no way that teams like Costa Rica, Mexico and Greece are going to make it further than the quarter finals.

Brazil, Colombia, Netherlands, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Argentina and USA to go through.

1. Germany

2. Netherlands

3. Colombia

4. France

Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

I'm predicting a Colombia - Holland final B)

that won't happen because Mexico are gunna tear Holland a new one :)

really want Mexico to beat them, can't stand RVP and Robben whilst I have loved watching the Mexican team and the touch line antics of the manager have been a joy to behold!! :)

Of course they will Ray. They are my 'random team' so therefore they will tear everyone in sight apart. I meant that it'd be a Holland - Colombia final if Mexico weren't in the tournament... :P;)

Re: Official World Cup 2014 Thread

Right just a very quick time filler before the games and I am literally doing this just from my brain now.

Your team of the group stage??? Has to be a 4-4-2 formation

GK- Ochoa- Mexico

Really impressive for Mexico, not been a lot of stand outs for me.

RB- Debuchy- France

A really problematic area not been many good ones at all but Debuchy has been pretty good in all the games he has played.

LB- Diaz- Costa Rica

Been one of the players of the tournament for me an absolute monster back there against Italy and Uruguay especially was brilliant. Been a fair few left backs who have impressed for me.

CB- Thiago Silva- Brazil

They have been pretty average and there defence pretty awful, but Silva has been the exception, always looks secure.

CB- Rafa Marquez- Mexico

The best CB at the tournament for me so far, at 35 to play the way he has been mightily impressive.

Wing- Arjen Robben- Holland

Not really played wing as such for Holland throughout a lot of the games but has to be I. The side, dynamic, pace and end product this time round.

Wing- James Rodriguez- Columbia

Been sensational all three games, never been convinced when I saw him at club level but I am convinced now!!

CM- Arturo Vidal- Chile

Tough area of the pitch not been any standouts been in his two games he has been very good, especially against Spain.

CM- The Columbian DM who's name I have forgot :P

FWD- Neymar

Carry the weight of the nation superbly so far.

FWD- Messi

Dont really need an explanation, tough on Joel Campbell, RVP etc...
