We are really pleased that we signed a young and talented forward which we can use as a winger aswell. Pictured here celebrating a goal for Italy. Atletico Madrid also complete the signing of 29 yr old Louis Saha for only £8million. We see this as a bargain for a french superstar striker. We will be hoping he scores around 10-15 goals as sub this season. Pictured here playing for Man Utd. Atletico Madrid's last signing is brazilian ace Araujo Ilan. We are pleased to have our 4th brazilian signing to pair up with Fabiano Eller, Thiago Motta, Santana Cleber. pictured here training for Brazil. Insider 11,470
Re: World Championship 1057 RIERA SITUATION Just one day after Alberto Riera said he wanted to play with a legendary club, interest has been pouring in. The only problem is, it isn't division 1 interest. Interest has been showed from Zaragoza, CSKA Moskva and Benfica, all division two sides, as well as Werder Bremen who are in division 1. "As far as division two goes, I'd rather lead Espanyol to divison two than play there. It's very flattering to be chased by Bremen, but it's cold in northern Germany, and I don't know if I'd get to play there", commented the Spanish winger. He also added that he wouldn't mind transferring to a division 1 side and being loaned back to Espanyol. As long as he gets playing time, being owned by a divison one side. GOURCUFF AND MOISES GET INTO IT Spanish midfielder Hurtado Moises got into an altercation in practice with recent acquisition Yoann Gourcuff today. Moises made a vicious tackle, which resulted in a war of words before captain Raul Tamudo intervened. There is said to be jeolousy from Moises, who was relegated to the bench with the Frenchman's arrival. The 26 year old now wants out of Espanyol, and manager Farine is more than happy to accept the request. BIGLIA INTEREST? Espanyol scouts were spotted in Belgium taking a look at 21 year old Argentine sensation Lucas Biglia. "He is a tremendous player who we'd love at our organization. We believe adding him to our roster would give us the best creative midfield in Division 3, with he and Gourcuff. We also must remember Valdo who has been working hard and deserves a shot." DE LA PENA Farine did not mention central midfielder Ivan De La Pena in the plan about his central midfield. Unfortunately, our reporter did not press the issue. However, is this the end of De La Pena's stay at Espanyol? Surely such a talent cannot be kept on the bench? Stay tuned... GeorgeECFC

Headed to Anderlecht are 20 year old Milan Smijlanic and defender Juan Velasco. Biglia is expected to jump right into the midfield to replace Ivan de la Pena, who has been allowed to leave. RABIOLA SIGNS ON Also signing with Espanyol was 18 year old Portuguese striker Tiago Rabiola, from Vitoria Guimaeres. Espanyol are very happy to have him aboard. He will join Espanyol B. Speaking of Espanyol B, Tijan Jaiteh has been playing very well lately. He may earn a call up if an injury occurs. HOME DEFEAT TO AEK Rivaldo played the heroics as AEK Athens beat Espanyol at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. Strikers Tamudo and Luis Garcia played brutally, but Valdo was the worst on the pitch for Espanyol. Rufete is expected to play Satuday to the Lluis Companys when Bayer Leverkusen visit. Biglia was silent in his first appearance. DE LA PENA HEADED TO RUSSIA? OR IS HE? Heavy rumourd had Ivan de la Pena headed to CSKA, but the Moskva manager has announced his signings were over. Rumours had Dawid Janczyk coming to Espanyol. With the announcement, Farine officially put De La Pena on the transfer list, joining Hurtado Moises and Alberto Riera.
