Re: FA Cup

And anyway' date=' Posh breezed past Wrexham, when is the draw for the next round?[/quote']

Not sure but it will probably be quite soon i imagine it will be on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday this coming week. Just keep your eye out m8 i am sure it will be early on this week because that is when they usually take place and if you want to watch it m8 go to SkySports as all competition draws are broad casted live on SkySports.

Well he's not the girl playing a football management game

There is no need for that comment m8 and there is no need to for Lola to say this -

I think hes weird cos hes scottish

So you 2 can you stop making stupid comments as this has the makings of a great thread.

Re: FA Cup

The draw for the Second Round Proper will be televised live on BBC1 at 5.15pm on Sunday.

Cyrille Regis and Steve Hodge, who did battle in the 1987 Cup Final which Coventry famously won 3-2 over Tottenham, will be making the draw following the conclusion of Torquay United v Yeovil Town.

Sir Trevor Brooking, The FA's Director of Football Development, will be presenting the draw from Soho Square.

There are 20 Second Round ties, which will be played on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 December, and each team taking part will know they are just 90 minutes away from drawing one of football's big clubs in the Third Round.

There is also the small matter of £24,000 in prize money at stake for the winners of each Second Round tie.

Draw numbers:

1 Darlington or Northampton Town

2 Dagenham & Redbridge

3 Torquay United or Yeovil Town

4 Leyton Orient or Bristol Rovers

5 Bury

6 Barnet

7 Huddersfield Town

8 Barrow or AFC Bournemouth

9 Forest Green Rovers or Rotherham United

10 Southend United

11 Chasetown

12 Bradford City

13 Port Vale

14 Hereford United or Leeds United

15 Mansfield Town

16 Gainsborough Trinity or Hartlepool United

17 Exeter City

18 Oldham Athletic or Doncaster Rovers

19 Peterborough United

20 Burton Albion

21 Havant & Waterlooville

22 Harrogate Railway

23 Rushden & Diamonds

24 Kidderminster Harriers

25 Walsall

26 Horsham

27 Millwall

28 Cheltenham Town or Brighton & Hove Albion

29 Stockport County or Staines Town

30 Crewe Alexandra

31 Lincoln City or Nottingham Forest

32 Cambridge United

33 Notts County

34 Oxford United

35 Swansea City

36 Carlisle United or Grimsby Town

37 Eastbourne Borough or Weymouth

38 Tranmere Rovers

39 Swindon Town

40 Luton Town or Brentford

p.s this was copied and pasted :D

Re: FA Cup

Nice to see your beloved Exeter won George. You never know m8' date=' your loved Exeter might once again play your also beloved Manchester United.

Can i just ask George, who would you support if Exeter got drawn with Manchester United once again?[/quote']

Exeter of course :P

Would love us to get the winners of Torquay v Yeovil, would be a great derby game whichever it is ;) And it would be so so good to get one over Torquay :D

Re: FA Cup

Well Lola as far as I can recall' date=' you've done the same about a player and then asked for rep. You said you remembered it and typed it up and was the same as Wikipedia ;) George didn't copy and paste, I looked on Who's Online for half hour because I wasn't on it and it said Replying to Thread: FA Cup, I refreshed it and it still said Replying to Thread: FA Cup and he was on this typing for ages. B)[/quote']

Exactly, Tom is absolutely correct, if George was copy and paste, it would have taken him about 5 minutes, i was on too and I don't see why you, Lola would be asking for rep for a post that wasn't a third as good as this one!

P.S. George, great win for Exeter, congrats Mr. W

Re: FA Cup

The 2nd round draw has been made:

Oxford Utd v Southend Utd

Swindon v Forest Green or Rotherham

Oldham or Doncaster v Crewe

Darlington or Northampton v Walsall

Cambridge Utd v Weymouth

Millwall v Barrow or Bournemouth

Stockport or Staines Town v Peterborough

Bradford City v Tranmere

Torquay Utd v Cheltenham Town or Brighton

Notts County v Havant & Waterlooville

Dagenham & Redbridge v Kidderminster Harriers

Port Vale v Chasetown

Leyton Orient or Bristol Rovers v Rushden & Diamonds

Huddersfield Town v Carlisle or Grimsby

Burton Albion v Barnet

Bury v Exeter City

Luton Town or Brentford v Lincoln City or Nottm Forest

Horsham v Swansea

Hereford or Leeds v Hartlepool

Harrogate Railway v Mansfield Town

Pains me to say it, but congrats to Torquay  for their 4-1 win over Yeovil, but they need a lot of luck to get to the 3rd round with their draw :D

Exeter drawn away to Bury, gonna be a tough tie, but if we can show the form of our previous two games then I feel we can shock them and progress to the 3rd round. :)

To be truthful, the amount of work you did, probably a monkey could do that. It was on Wikipedia, the first thing that shows up when you do a Google Search!

Re: FA Cup

Guys, cut the arguments please:)

Lola, he had to copy it? Of course he did, otherwise where did the information come from? It doesn't matter if it was copy and pasted or not, the writing would still be the same!:P

Tom, have you any proof that she just got it from wikipedia? Get evidence before jumping to conclusions:)

Guys, I'm not shouting at you guys so I don't expect hate replies.....It maybe friendly banter but this is the wrong thread with the wrong subject.........

Guys, I don't expect any replies fighting back so please don't.......

Ross is 16-17, Lola is 19 and George is 14-15 and you guys arguing about copy + Paste? Weird huh?:P

Then lose to United, who go on to get Exeter City in the final

lol well I'd be happy with a win over Bury, that would be a superb result if we did, then I'd love to see us get a prem side in the 3rd round. :)

Re: FA Cup

5th Round Draw

The draw for the FA cup 5 round has been done and it looks like this -

  • Bristol Rovers v Southampton
  • Cardiff City v Wolverhampton Wanderers
  • Sheffield United v Middlesbrough
  • Liverpool v Barnsley
  • Manchester United v Arsenal
  • Preston North End v Portsmouth
  • Coventry City v WBA
  • Chelsea v Huddersfield

Of course they are all important ties for each of the clubs but i think and don't think anyone would disagree with me in that there is one absolutely massive tie and yes that is Manchester United .vs. Arsenal. It is sure to be a great game as both sides will be without a doubt playing there 1st teams and looking to win, but will home advantage be the key for Manchester United? The other two top 4 teams have relatively easy draws with Liverpool facing Barnsley and Chelsea facing Huddersfield. Apart from those 2 ties the other 6 are all wide open. Bristol are the lowest ranked team in the draw but a home tie against a championship opposition in the form of Southampton will give them hope, but still Southampton are favorites to come out on top. Cardiff .vs. Wolves throws up another non premier league team tie and once again both sides will fancy there chances. Sheffield United the ex premier league team will face Middlesbrough at home. United will be hopping that they can once again defeat a premier league team to progress. PNE face Portsmouth in a game that Portsmouth will be looking to win but once again nothing is certain. PNE defeated premier league opposition in the last round and Portsmouth found it tough against championship side Plymouth. So this is another game for the taking. Coventry City face fellow championship team WBA the championship's top scoring team WBA will be hopping they can net a few goals to advance but Coventries star man Midsfud will be providing and scoring goals at the other.
