He was supposed to be in the ACN squad with Senegal but withdrew due to injury then played and scored in the FA Cup tie for West Ham and Fifa have opened disciplinary proceedings. The rule states: "The FIFA Players' Status Committee shall...declare any match(es) in which the player took part to have been lost by the club concerned," "Any points thus gained by the club in question shall be forfeited. They get a small fine which was actually less than what the received from the FA Cup prize money for winning the 4th round tie. Fifa have said: “The question of further sanctions to be possibly imposed needs now to be dealt with by the entity responsible for the relevant competition, i.e the FA, in application of its regulations.” So its time for the FA to step up or bottle it.
