Re: European Dream

SL Benfica 3 - 6 Bayer Leverkusen

A thrilling match last night on Estadio Da Luz.

Leverkusen beat Benfica and moved up to 7th.

Bayer Leverkusen returned into form with a sounding victory against Benfica.

The Werkself dominated the match and won with 3 goals difference.

Pedro scored a brace; Bony, Toprak, Kiessling and Boateng scored each one goal.

Gaitan, Gonalons and Cassano were the scorers for the Portuguese team.

Bayer's Turkish defender Omer Toprak was the best player on the pitch.

The Germans are now at 1 point behind the 6th place (occupied by Dortmund)

that ensures the staying in the second division next season - 13 points now.

Two games remaining from this season..

Re: European Dream

Manchester City outclassed Paris Saint-Germain and beat them 2 - 0 in their Division 1 fixture.

Agüero was on the scoresheet for his side.

Nice win, chasing 2nd spot (top 2 was my target at start of season) but think we are a bit off after a few bad results:(

Otamendi leaves Leverkusen for Zenit

Argentinian defender Nicolas Otamendi moves to St. Petersburg after

3 seasons at Leverkusen, in a swap deal for 2M + young German centre

back Robin Knoche, who was wanted by Leverkusen since last season.

“I’'m very happy about this transfer, it's good to be at Leverkusen, finally.

All I want now is to be healthy..hope to get more chances to play here.”

said Robin Knoche (22 y.o.) for the German newspaper Bild this afternoon.

Re: European Dream

SSC Napoli beat Arsenal 4 - 1 in their Division 2 fixture.

Rami had an impressive game and was voted Man of the Match.

Rossi, Benteke and özil were amongst the goalscorers.

With this win I no longer risk getting relegated, and could even secure a playoff spot to division 1 in the last round vs Manchester United!

Re: European Dream

Bayern München slumped to a 1 - 0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in their Division 1 fixture.

A draw was all I needed to defend my title, now it is a winners take all in the final game where I face off against 2nd placed Juventus, who if they win will likely be champions. I avoid defeat and the title is mine.

Re: European Dream

Juventus now are guaranteed 2nd place finish after beating Atletico by Koke's goal. The title seems impossible before the game begin as we are 6 points behind Bayern with 2 games to go but Danny Welbeck goal give Spurs surprise win against Bayern and it gives a chance with last game of the season is against Bayern.

Bayern have 11 GD and i have 9 GD. Anyone know what happen if i win 1-0? Is the league table sorted by goals scored if two teams have same GD?

Can't speak from experience' date=' but under competition information > Rules it says:

League Sorting Rules:

[list']

[*]Goal Difference

[*]Goals For

[*]Most Wins

So you'd win on more goals scored. If I'm correct..

Re: European Dream

Expected a victory last night against already promoted Shakhtar Donetsk,

but after seeing the results and the statistics, we are pleased with that point.

After a balanced first half, the Ukrainians scored 2 goals until the 61st minute.

We managed to come back into game with the goals of Kolarov 66' and Bony 77'.

With one more hard game remaining from this season, we are currently above

the relegation line, with a better goal difference than Dortmund and Benfica.

Dortmund away next turn, a match who decides our fates in Division Two...

H. Calhanoglu signed with Leverkusen, after long negotiations with FC Porto.

The young Turkish attacking midfielder joins Bayer Leverkusen in exchange

for German defender Shkodran Mustafi and French midfielder Florian Thauvin.

Also Max Arnold will arrive today, as part of the agreement with Porto officials.

The Germany U21 midfielder played for Wolfsburg in Bundesliga before joining FCP.

Our season didnt really go as I expected but I'm not surprised after big changes where made at Spurs. We are relegated but this result shows what we are capable of doing, so we shall be back to div 1 very soon.

Squad is packed with English blood, and that should make things easier for us once the cap rule comes back into play next season. Still believe we should have at least 3 and not just 2 in the starting line up of players with same nationality as team!
