After the initial win and two draws in the opening games we went on to lose the next five games straight whilst we were in transition (selling all players and replacing) but recent back to back wins have given us hope that we might be able to challenge for a playoff spot if we can become more consistent. We are still only three points off the bottom of the league but with sixteen games still to play the ball is in our court to try and make up the five points needed for a playoff spot or nine points needed for an automatic play off spot.

It is approaching 50 games now that I have been in charge and to be honest although we have done nothing by means of finishing position the club is now in a much better state with the team being valued at over 140 million. I am not sure if I will be sticking around after this season but I am proud of how far little Whitehawk have come in the six months I have been here.

There has been some transfer upheaval here at Viking.

Three important players, Bonaventura, Zapata and Menez have been sold to external (AC Milan) for a combined 33 million in order to fund new arrivals. Gaspar Mario also moved to external (Villarreal) for 11.1 mil, a significant rise on his value. Squad players Ingason (Lokeren) and I. Gonzalez (Danubio) also moved on 1.6 mil each. Hence we managed to raise 47.6 mil through sales, a decent amount to work with.

New arrivals:

Diego Llorente (replaces Sigurdsson)- Gaston Rodriguez

Frank Acheampong (replaces the outgoing Weiser)- 200k, Indridi Sigurdsson and Alexander Jones

Sergio Canales (adds squad depth)- 5.8 mil

Joel Campbell (downgrade on Menez, but beneficial)- 4.6 mil

Luis Pizzi (replaces Bonaventuram slight downgrade)- 7.7 mil

Cheikhou Kouyaté (upgrade on Zapata)- 7.7 mil

Lucas Fernando (adds squad depth)- 8.1 mi

Davide Santon (upgrade on Mario)- 8.4 mil

As of now, we have seen 8 players come in (6 first team quality) and seen 9 go out (4 first team quality). Still some cash left.

Many more deals left to come as the manager, who has spent nearly 3 months with this team, has seen the need to stamp his mark on the team. Only Stones and Cech remain unavailable at the moment.

At the halfway mark in the league, we remain one spot below the playoff spots. Playing Whitehawk today, who are one point above us. Big game, no better opportunity for the new boys to prove themselves. A loss would not be ideal.

As a sidenote, the Chelsea loanees have been really vital to our cause. Gaya with 4 goals and 4 assists from 8 games, and Traore with 3 goals and 3 assists from 9 games. Hence I put in a cheeky loan bid for Correa... :o

Got Correa in on loan.

Thomas Toure is in from Bordeaux in exchange for 210k and Mitchell Weiser

Jordan Veretout is also coming in from Nantes in exchange for Fredy Guarin.

Also have 4 more bids accepted.

Carlos Mane from Sporting CP in exchange for 20k, Jonathan Rodriguez and Cristian Techera.

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic is coming in from the best club in the world in exchange for 190k and Ostbo.

Omeruo is in from Blackburn in exchange for Marzo

And lastly Diagne from Barca in exchange for Thomas Lam.

Got rejected in my attempts to replace Cheryshev and Kolarov , must try again.

Rumours are also circulating that Krychowiak may be leaving for Selhurst Park, time will confirm this.

More transfers:

Jorge Burgui from Real Madrid for 800k and Ronny Marcos

Aymen Abdennour from Monaco for 9.3 mil

Stafylidis from Leverkusen for 40k, Remi Walter and Grimes

Ocampos and Chalobah from Chelsea for 3.8 mil and 3.5 mil respectively as part of the Cheryshev deal

Kolarov was also sold to Utd for 8.9 mil and Cheryshev to Chelsea for 9.4 mil

PETR CECH IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR TRANSFER. SIMILAR GK IN EXCHANGE, YOUNGER AND RATED 90/91.

The only player who will not leave any time soon is John Stones, who has pledged his allegiance to this club.

Krychowiak will also be moving soon.

Hope to beat Le Havre and the impressive Thorgan Hazard (15 goals in 15 games) today.

Blackpool managed to make a big signing, bringing in 91 rated striker Carlos Vela! Surprised i faced no competition for him, he is an huge addition to our team and to get him on the cheap turn things even sweeter :P Blackpool is having a poor season, but we managed to win our last 2 matches and i have faith we will manage to improve our position and avoid relegation.

Everton beat WBA 4-1 and move up to 4th in Div 1 very happy with where we are after promotion last season.

Oh and in the transfer market thanks to our early Xmas present from our sugar daddy chairman we spent 36 mil yes that's right on Tevez who will be a handy addition to our squad.

Well we drew to Le Havre 1-1 with Ocampos scoring on debut for us and Hazard doing what he does best.

Following a 0-0 draw to Burnley, we beat Millwall yesterday 2-1 with debut goals from Fernando and Mane sealing it.

In 5th now, and hopefully we can sustain this run. 8 points away from 2nd with 8 games left, will be tough but play-offs is the least we can do.

We also got in talented Castilla youngster, Borja Mayoral (the new Raul) in exchange for Ben Pearson.

Stones, Tello, Krychowiak and Cech available, the last of the old guard.

Also had four injuries in the game on Sunday, ridiculous. Abdennour and Traore long-term injuries. Shame really.

A debut hat trick from Thomas Toure and a debut goal from Chalobah helped us to a 4-1 win over Guiseley. Three games against Guiseley have resulted in a 15-3 aggregate this season.

Krychowiak moved to Selhurst Park with Micah Richards and Joaquin Correa moving the other way.

Negotiations going on regarding Tello and Stones, with Cech set to stay at the club.

Playing Aachen today, and a win will help us push towards direct promotion. Sitting in 4th just 5 points behind 2nd placed Hereford.

Lost to Aachen 1-2 (Kouyate goal) followed by a 2-2 draw with Gateshead. Disappointed with the last against a much weaker team, Campbell and Fernando scored before Ibe got them an equaliser in the last minute.

5 games left, 7 point gap between 2nd placed Hereford. Sitting in 6th now, but we will miss out on promotion playoffs if we drop more points. Tricky.

Tello left for external which allowed us to get Dzagoev. Sokratis also joined with 3.3mil and Stones the other way.

After the Aachen loss, the last 5 games:

Gateshead (2-2)- Disappointing, late equaliser costs us two points. Campbell and Fernando with the goals.

Sunderland (3-1)- Dominant win, Sokratis, Kouyate and Ocampos with vital goals.

Portsmouth (1-1)- Again, late equaliser after Correa netted.

Telford (5-1)- Superb play. Goals for Kouyate, Campbell, Canales and brace from Pizzi.

Dynamo (2-1)- Absolutely vital, Canales and Veretout score.

All top 3 teams lose on penultimate game week, means Viking have outside chance of direct promotion. Here are the permutations for Div 3

Fulham (PROMOTED): VS Aachen

Championship: Single point required (draw/win)

Hereford (PLAY-OFF SPOT GUARANTEED): VS Viking

Direct promotion: win; draw and Le Havre lose to bottom-placed Guiseley

Championship: win while Fulham lose and Le Havre draw/lose- trail Fulham's GD by 2 and lead Le Havre's GD by 4

Le Havre (PLAY-OFF SPOT CONFIRMED): VS Guiseley

Direct promotion: win; draw and Hereford lose to Viking

Championship: win while Fulham lose and Hereford draw/lose- trail Fulham's GD by 6 and Hereford's by 4

Viking:

Direct promotion: win against Hereford, Le Havre draw/lose to Guiseley- lead LH's GD by 11

Play-off spot: single point required

Let's hope we do it!

Think we have a reasonable chance of promoting directly, but we need to perform on last day.

Managers point scoring-

League points gained- plus 15% for winners,

10% for runners up

5% for 3rd placed.

league points lost- minus 15% for bottom spot,

-10% for 13th place

-5% for 12th place.

If a 3rd Division club wins Div 2 , an extra 10%, if they win Div 1, an extra 20%.

If a 2nd Division side wins Div 1,an extra 10%.

Taken fom the division that the manager started in.

No league bonuses for a side that gets promoted from a division lower than the one they started in.

CUP- Winner - 20points/ 25/ 30 (Div 1/ 2/ 3)

Runner up - 12/ 17/ 22

Losing Semi finalists - 5/ 10/ 15

Losing Q/finalists - 1/ 5/ 10.

No points for Europe as some have gold and some don't.
