Re: ||The Indian Super League||

Forum Still running... :P

Half of my Indian players already appeared for the game...!

Guys please keep in mind that rule of at least 1 appearance for indian players.

I've already used all my Indian players. :) I hope noone tries to get the upper hand, by not obeying this rule. Coz there's no way around it: that's called cheating.

Bengaluru FC Champions

ISL has it's first Champion

Bengaluru%201_FC.jpg

Bengaluru FC lifted the first ISL trophy as the South Indian derby heated up in the Wembly final in England. Bengaluru who tamed Mumbai on their way to the final locked horns with Jake's Chennaiyan FC for the title. The final lived up to its's billing and started in a amazing fashion as Lampard lead from the front to test the water in the early minutes. Bengaluru kept pushing for the goal and it was now Tarore's chance to test the opposition defense with a scremer from distance. Akinfeev made a acrobatic save to deny Calhangou and allowed a quick counter attack, Tarore found Vargas with a beautiful square ball who sprinted into the box, rounded the keeper and slotted in the Chennai net to provoke a picture of a celebration from the section the crowd as the team rose in jubilation.

Chennai responded well after the goal and kept on pushing for a goal but met a stubborn Akinfeev at goal who was in no mood to let anything pass past him. Bengaluru went into half time with their lead. 9 minutes in into the second half when Chennai were pushing for a goal, Sagna made a beautiful interception and crossed the ball upfield for Vargas who had to cover some ground to latch on to the ball and unleash a volley in the box and Tarore rose the highest and sent a bullet of a header past despairing Mandanda to make it 2-0 for the night. Minutes after the the goal a reckless challenge from Tarore on Negredo earned him a direct red card to set-up a nervous finish to the game. But Bengaluru held on and the final whistle meant they are the inaugural winners of the ISL!!!!

2. Rating limit for 7 high rated foreign player has been increased to 92.

3. Rating limit for other player has been increased to 89 from 88.

4. ISL Clubs now are rich economy teams with more season income.

2. You can now sell your Marquee player in order to sign a new Marquee player, but before you do so you have to inform in the thread about your change in Marquee player.

New Season New Challenges

ISL Champions take New Shape

Venk guided Bengaluru to the title of the inaugural season of ISL. Though it will be noted that the South based team missed on promotion and Venk now looks to change a thing or two in the club. The wind of changes started with the departures of some key name who were instrumental in Bengaluru's title. Leading the name was Bengaluru's hero last season - Frank Lampard. The club have mutually agreed with the player as they have released their marquee player for a sum around 8 million to New York City FC as the player looks for a change in scenery.

Sagna was the other player to leave as it was reported that he had a fall out with manager Venk while Miranda and Arteta were also allowed to leave the Bangalore club.

Friday night saw some of the first arrivals in Bengaluru City which filled the fans with excitement. Chelsea super defender Ivanovic completed his transfer and the proposed medical to become a Bengaluru FC player ahead of the new season. Ivanovic becomes a vital addition to the Chelsea defense and will take his place besides his ex-Chelsea team mate Kurt Zouma.

Follwing Ivanovic was under-rated Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko. Venk took advantage of his unsettled nature with the arrival of Bony from Swansea and wrapped up a deal for a much needed striker in Bangalore. Venk played Vargas and Tarore as the lone striker but has more fire power in form of Dzeko for the new season.
