Sir Rahul 7,019
Lost to Arsenal 2-3 in the first game. Unlucky, Ozil had a rare good game. Was a spirited performance from my body though. Niang and Afellay with the goals, Prodl and Nordtveit with the assists. Hope we can get a point in our next game against Chelsea at the very least. Also, loaned out Lloyd Doyley to Bristol, Lloyd Dyer to Cambridge, Mathias Ranegie to Yeovil and Uche Ikpeazu to Coventry. I only loaned out one player to a club. D4 teams were given first priority. Sure they'll get some game time.

MarkM 9,947
Great start for Pompey. Two games, two wins for Portsmouth: 2-1 against Northampton and 3-1 versus Shorpe. Going in the right direction with Portsmouth
sirmarkhughes 24,770
Not been to vociferous on the forum of late as first time I have even bothered to sign in for nearly two weeks. sirmarkhughes 24,770
Disappointing lack of posts in here considering there are sixty-odd managers. A 1-1 draw with Walsall keeps us unbeaten, El Hamdoui with our equalizer. He has been our star man with 5 goals and 5 assists across the 4 games. A few hard looking games coming up for us against Southend, Darlington & Wimbledon should make it hard to keep up this 4 match unbeaten run but decent start nonetheless. Sir Rahul 7,019
Disappointing lack of posts in here considering there are sixty-odd managers. Agreed. Meanwhile, we lost to Sunderland in 0-2 in a meek display of football. The fight we showed against the London superpowers and Newcastle was not shown. As of now, we have lost 3 out of the first 4 games, scoring 6 and conceding 8, which is alarming. The tough schedule of ours (first two- London superpowers, next two Tyneside rivals) is over, and we hope to win against Norwich. Sitting just above the relegation spots. Also, Guettirez went down to 86 from 87 but I expected that. Coming on a free so the drop's effect is mitigated.

sirmarkhughes 24,770
How is everyones builds going? We have tried to extract every last bit of value so we are a bit slow, plenty of rejections and even a player refusing to sign for the club after the bid being accepted. Which to be honest pissed me off a touch. I think we still have about five players to come in but I am quite pleased with the way it has gone even though ratings and pretty players (talented kids) wise we are a bit below the best. On the league front we are not doing so bad sitting in second place but this division is very close with just a point separating the top four which means it will be a tough fight to grab one of the two automatic promotion places.
