150x_Sunderland.jpg                    V                    150x_Manchester-City.jpg

Prediction: In our first game Sunderland will play host to Manchester City. In the first round the teams played a 1-1 draw but this time I think the game is in favour of the home side. Sunderland to take the points in the absence of Vives who got sent off last match with a straight red. 0-1

Well Manager Huddo will not be a happy chappy today after his slide lost a couple of points out the door to a Man City side that came with a plan and played it to perfection. Manchester made all the early running with what appeared to be a perfectly good goal in the first minute of the game. Rafinha found Deeney unmarked with a smooth through ball and the big striker hit the net...only to be ruled out for offside. In the 17th minute however Julian Brandt opened the scoring officially getting on the end of a lovely cross from Cambiasso and heading home. Frustration showed as first Traore (foul on Deeney) and then Toure (dissent) received yellow cards. As the second half got under way it was clear that manager Huddo had wielded the hair dryer at half time and his side actually looked like they could compete. Some heavy pressure saw ended with Williams finding Traore who beat the keeper with a cheeky flick to bring scores level. Brandt when close for the visitors and Austinsson and Benassi for the home side but scores remained even. Final Score 1-1

150x_feyenoord.jpg                    V                    150x_hannover-96.jpg

Prediction: Leaders Feyenoord will welcome Hanover and any goal scored would be an improvement on the first game. Both sides have full squads to chose from but at the top of the league I feel Feyenoord will prove too strong for thier visitors. 0-2 (Thanks to my good friends Paul and Michael for ruining the start of the tipping :P)

Despite bossing the game the home side seem to have fallen foul of the "reach the top and lose form" syndrome that afflicted Club America earlier in the season. Feyenoord had 5 goals to 1 on target but guess which one was the only one to count? A solitary goal to MOTM Diafra Sakho on the cusp of half time proved to be the decider although with only three minutes to go the same player put a penalty over the crossbar. Adrian made a number of great saves, Moukandjo played well with no reward. In the end manager Smut will be scratching his head wondering how this one got away. However Seattle Manager KJKJ is not concerned about the why as his side replaced Feyenoord at the top of the league. Final Score 0-1

150xafc-ajax.jpg                    V                     150xATMadrid.jpg

Prediction: Ajax play host to Atletico both sides coming off a last round loss. Ajax to have the edge in this one even though Embolo is out injured for the next couple of games and Arias is serving a suspension. Madrid will be without midfielder Kovalenko through injury and (more importantly) Rugani will leave hole in their defense. 0-3 (sob)

Another away win here and Manager LauraV will be another home team manager scratching here head after the defeat to Lucas' Madrid at the Amsterdam Arena. Atletico surprised Ajax early with a more attacking mindset than was expected and this, in part, ;led to them taking the lead in the 38th minute when MOTM Matias Suarez latched on to a Sturaro free kick to take the lead. Ajax tried to get back into the game but never quite managed it and ended up the losing side in a game where they played well below par. Final Score 0-1

150x_Stuttgart_FC.jpg                    V                      150x_eintracht-frankfurt.jpg

Prediction: Stuttgart and Frankfurt are very close in most aspects of the game. There are some injury clouds over Alli and Coman at this point and without those two Frankfurst will struggle. So I will go for the home team win. 1-3 (hooray)

In a very even game winger Boufal showed his worth, notching up his sixth of the season to give his side a 1-0 lead in the second half after the first half became a fairly boring arm wrestle. Coman and Balde tried hard for the visitors but it took a MOYM performance by keeper Sportiello to keep his side in the game as Stuttgart pressed for a second. Final Score 1-0

Prediction: Both PSG and Seattle have now gone 6 games without a loss and have full squads available for selection. N'Jie will give Seatlle the edge...away win forecast. 2-3

Manager KJKJ set his team up to work around the strong midfield structure of the home side and they did it brilliantly to get the points away from home and rise to the top of the table, It was not N'Jie who hi the headlines this match although his presence alone may have unsettled the opposition. This time Haraguchi stole the limelight scoring twice to seal the win. First he latched onto a through ball from Ronaldinho just before half time and beat the keeper with a classy back heel to send his team into the break 1-0 in front. After the break MOTM Joselu, in a losing team, tried valiantly to get his team level drawing four or five quality saves from Kraft before finally getting the ball in the new in the 63rd minute only for the effort to be ruled offside. With 74 minutes gone he did get that equalizing goal when he finally beat Kraft and will be very disappointed with his team mates who were still celebrating drawing level 2 minutes later when Haraguchi again put the visitors in front and again Ronaldinho was the provider. Manager Cookie will be devastated by his defense who let the lead go so easily after all the hard work put into getting back into the game. Final Score 1-2

150x1.-fc-koln-8.jpg                     V                      150x_Celtic.jpg

Prediction: Celtic lost to Cologne in the first round at home by 2-1 but a run of form finds them 3rd while the hosts are 15th. Cologne really need the points but I am voting for Celtic to continue their agony. Celtic will be without briand.3-3 ( :) )

Manager Christopher will be very pleased with his sides performance given they were without Keane, Pienaar, Maurice Belay and Stendera as they went to Cologne to do battle. The visitors bossed the game well with 55% possession and even a MOTM performance by home 'keepere Donnarumma could not keep them at bay. It was just after the restart that promising 17 year old Hachim Mastour, making his first team league debut, curled a beautifully taken free kick into the top corner to score what would prove to be the winning goal. This young man is certainly one for the future. Rashford was unlucky not to get at least one as he brought save after save from Donnarumma. Final Score 0-1

150x_newcastle.jpg                    V                    150x_Hertha-BSC.jpg

Prediction: Newcastle are on a great run with 5 wins out of the last 6 matches and will welcome Berlin who have only 1 point from a possible last 12. Newcastle to continue the upward momentum. Berlin without the injured Kieta. 3-4

Time and time again we see Newcastle looking the goods and then they inexplicably slip up. Berlin, who had not been playing well, managed 64% of possession and did not allow the home side a single shot on target in a performance that will leave Manager Webb flabbergasted. If not for a MOTM performance by 'keeper Rico this could easily have been 5 or 6 nil as Newcastle seemed disinterested in the game and the supporters showed their disappointment late in the game with whistles and boos at the players. Shane Long opened the scoring for the visitors in just the 4th minute when he latched onto a ball from the irrepressible Kante to slip one past the keeper. It is however to Rico's credit that a second goal did not come until the 84th minute when Niasse continued to show good development for Berlin as he capped a good game firing home from close range. Final Score 0-2

150x_Guangzhou-Evergrande.jpg                    V                    150x_clubamerica.jpg

Predictions: Guangzhou will welcome Club America and the obvious money is on the visitors however I am expecting a recovery from the hosts soon - this week may be a bit soon. Both teams have full squads from which to select. CA to take the points. 3-5

I did say I thought this game would be a bit soon for Guangzhou to get fully back on track but I was wrong about that as they notched up just their second win of the season against Club America. True the visitors lost Gaston in the 28th minute when a two-footed tackle earned him a straight red card but this was overshadowed by a brilliant MOTM performance by Sebastian Coates in the Guangzhou defence who was the main reason for the visitors not getting one shot on goal. Guangzhou were also a bit lucky when Janssen worked an opening an slotted home in the 55th minute only to find the assistant referee had raised the offside flag. It was in the 70th minute that the roof was raised off the stadium by the home fans as their side took the lead through Vecino following more good work from Coates. Resounding cheers as the final whistle sounded. Final Score 1-0

Only two points now separate the top three sides but there is now a 5 point break between third and fourth. At the other end of the table Cologne on 15, Man City on 16, Frankfurt on 18 and PSG on 19 are currently trying to avoid being the teams in the relegation zone and only 3 points cover the teams in positions 4-11 as the middle of the league blocks up.

MATCH DAY 17

Hanover will play host to Sunderland in the first game of the round with the home side winning their last two while Sunderland have only 1 point from the last two games. Sunderland are still without Vives and won the first encounter between the sides but Hanover are on a bit of a roll at the moment. Home team result forecast.

Atletico Madrid and Feyenoord are both at three wins and a draw from their last six. Atletico keep surprising teams although Feyenoord will be eager to get over the last loss with a wing in Madrid. However I want to get an invitation to the wedding so I will go for the home win.

13th placed Frankfurt will welcome 4th placed Ajax who will be looking to keep in touch with the top three. But Ajax are not going well with a draw and two losses from the last three and will be looking for vast improvement. With Ajax still missing Embolo and Arias this could be another difficult game for them. I think they will settle for a draw in this one so I will predict that way.

New league leaders Seattle on four wins from their last four will host Stuttgart who have won their last two away from home. On paper this is a home win. Stuttgart without Dawson. Home win it is although it will be interesting to see if Seattle now fall foul of the form loss that afflicted the previous two sides that made it to the top.

Celtic will take on PSG in Scotland without the injured Briand but I think they will still be too strong for the visitors with stars returning fit for the game. Celtic to take the cookies.

Berlin will be at home to Cologne and will be buoyed by their recent win. They should be too strong form the visitors. Home win here.

Club America will host Newcastle and this will be a strange game with both teams suffering shock losses in the last round. Who will recover best? CA will be without Baston - Santos out injured for Newcastle. I will vote for the draw but this a tough one to work out.

Manchester City will host bottom club Guangzhou and will need to be on their game as the team from China show they are improving quickly.  Manchester should be the winners here but I could well be wrong again.

Prediction: Hanover will play host to Sunderland in the first game of the round with the home side winning their last two while Sunderland have only 1 point from the last two games. Sunderland are still without Vives and won the first encounter between the sides but Hanover are on a bit of a roll at the moment. Home team result forecast. 1-0

Manager Huddo needs to check the water supply at Sunderland because something has really got them off the boil in the last couple of rounds. In this game they only managed one shot at goal and struggled to mount any meaningful attacks. Sakho opened the scoring for the home side in the 17th minute after some hard graft from Leon Osman and El Kaddouri beat Butland with a low drive in the 32nd minute to seal the game early. Sunderland did improve a little in the second half but by then it was all gone. Final Score 1-0

150xATMadrid.jpg                    V                    150x_feyenoord.jpg

Prediction: Atletico Madrid and Feyenoord are both at three wins and a draw from their last six. Atletico keep surprising teams although Feyenoord will be eager to get over the last loss with a wing in Madrid. However I want to get an invitation to the wedding so I will go for the home win. 2-0

Despite claims of jinxing them by a slightly superstitious Australian Manager Atletico continued their improving form with a solid 3-1 win at home to Feyenoord who continued to fall foul of the REAL jinx in the league....getting to the top. A MOTM performance by goalkeeper Boruc was not enough to save the visitors. The opening minute set the scene as Feyenoord were slow out of the blocks allowing Ighalo to control a ball and turn slipping a fine through ball to Puncheon who hit it well with Boruc unable to stop the ball although he did get a hand to it. IN the 25th minute Moukandjo was awarded a free kick following a foul on Ighalo and Adan could only watch helplessly as a superb  stirke flashed into is his top corner. Aftere the break the game ebbed and flowed for about half an hour with both teams creating half chances but then, in the 75th minute, the home side made three changes with Praet, Suarez and Lukaku the futue son in law replacing Rekik, Punchseon and Duncan. The changes seemed to unsettle the visitors and as they struggled to cope with the new structure Ighalo flashed a ball to Castillejo who made no mistake from 12 yards. Ighalo finished up with a goal of his own in the 86th minute when he ran in close to a ball across the middle from Bakambu and flicked it home to seal the win. One does have to wonder how a goalkeeper that lets in three goals can get the MOTM award over a player that scores one and has two assists in the game. It would be great if someone from SM got to read this and took a look at the match engine.....

150x_eintracht-frankfurt.jpg                    V                   150xafc-ajax.jpg

Prediction: 13th placed Frankfurt will welcome 4th placed Ajax who will be looking to keep in touch with the top three. With Ajax still missing Embolo and Arias this could be another difficult game for them. I think they will settle for a draw in this one so I will predict that way. 2-1

Ajax now have three losses and a draw from their last 4 games and manager LauraV will be looking long and hard at the videos to see what she can do to change the fortunes of her team. Coman showed some of his skills in a MOTM performance with all three assists for the home side and Ajax simply could not cope with his inventiveness and skill. ajax had plenty of the ball but simply could not finish off. Niang was first to benefit from Coman in  just the 10th minute when he latched on to one at the edge of the box that flashed into the top corner with Ryan helpless. Just 7 minutes later Niang again, from a similar position and the same result. IN the 34th minute it could have got much worse for the visitors when Coman tucked away a through ball from Defoe but the goal was ruled offside. Telles got one back just after half time when he received a pass from Suarez, controlled it well and ran on to beat the keeper at the near post but on 71 minutes Correa put his foot to a cracked from the edge of the box that Ryan could not get near and the game was all over. Final Score 3-1

 150x_Seattle_Sounders_FC.jpg                      V                    150x_Stuttgart_FC.jpg

Home win it is although it will be interesting to see if Seattle now fall foul of the form loss that afflicted the previous two sides that made it to the top. 2-2

Simple answer...yes they did...although not quite as badly as their predecessors. N'Jie picked up another MOTM award and put home his 11th of the season ib the 17th minute in a fairly even game that saw Boufal equalize for the visitors in the 38th minute courtesy of a free kick given away on the edge of the box by the home side. After that they cancelled each other out mostly. Ronaldinho was as creative as ever but could not get someone to put one of his dream passes into the net. Final Score 1-1

Prediction: Celtic will take on PSG in Scotland without the injured Briand but I think they will still be too strong for the visitors with stars returning fit for the game. Celtic to take the cookies.2-3

Cookies were shared at Celtic Park although the home side will be furious about the penalty awarded to the visitors in the 59th minute to bring scores level. However PSG played a good strong game and probably deserved the draw on the play. Pienaar opened the scoring in the 4th minute when he linked up well with Keane but Sessegnon got his side back in the game just 5 minutes later courtesy of a through ball from Beavue. Three yellow cards in the first half with the most important to Beavue who found himself dismissed in the 82nd minute for a second yellow. One goal apiece in the second half with MOTM Keane in the 55th and the disputed penalty put home by Elias for the visitors just four minutes later. So Celtic dropped points at home but fortunately they did not lose touch with the leaders who also drew and with Feyenoord losing the draw was enough to move the Scots into second place. final Score 2-2

150x_Hertha-BSC.jpg                    V                    150x1.-fc-koln-8.jpg

Prediction: Berlin will be at home to Cologne and will be buoyed by their recent win. They should be too strong form the visitors. Home win here. 3-3

This one went pretty well according to plan. The home side had 65% of possession and 9 shots on target to 1 as Cologne slipped deeper into relegation troubles. It did still take the home side until the second half to open the scoring with Campbell converting a Shane Long pass and Donnarumma beaten. In the 71st minute Kante found Long unmarked and the striker capped a MOTM performance with a fine goal to seal the game. Final Score 2-0

Prediction: Club America will host Newcastle and this will be a strange game with both teams suffering shock losses in the last round. Who will recover best? CA will be without Baston - Santos out injured for Newcastle. I will vote for the draw but this a tough one to work out. 3-4

Newcastle continued to cement themselves above the relegation zone with a fine win away against Club America at the Estadio Azteca and both teams now on 25 points for the season. Tatrusanu notched up his 7th MOTM of the season and was solely responsible for keeping the score down to 1-0. Jese Lingard finally beat him in the 82nd minute when he could only parry a fierce shot and Janssen was unlucky not to equalize a minute later when his goal was disallowed for offside. But Club America could not manage a single shot on target other than that and Manager Ancelotte must be getting concerned. Final Score 0-1

150x_Manchester-City.jpg                    V                    150x_Guangzhou-Evergrande.jpg

Prediction: Manchester City will host bottom club Guangzhou and will need to be on their game as the team from China show they are improving quickly.  Manchester should be the winners here but I could well be wrong again. 3-5

Poor discipline and a MOTM performance by visiting 'keeper Sels cost me a correct prediction and the home side the game in this encounter that saw Guangzhou continue their revival with a hard fought away win at the Emirates. Vecino scored the only goal of the game in the 27th minute after a nice pass from Paredes and then white line fever seemed to gran Brandt who nearly cut Dembele in half with a scything tackle and was told to take an early shower. Despite this Man City stayed in the game but City became more and more frustrated until the 58th minute when El Ghazi was shown a straight red for another very unruly challenge. manager Noisy will be most annoyed with these unnecessary challenges that now see his team in the relegation zone and four points adrift of PSG just above them. Final Score 0-1

Three points still cover the top three but Hanover narrowed the gap a little in fourth. 6 clubs are only separated by goal difference in the middle of the table...PSg have pulled four points away from the drop zone of Man City, Cologne and Guangzhou with the bottom side making up a little ground on those above them.

MATCH DAY 18 - Random Event round

Sunderland take on Feyenoord in match one with both teams looking for a positive performance and a change of fortune. Both sides at full strength and I will go for a Home Win.

Hanover are in good form at the moment and will be without Morel who is out injured. The home side are undefeated in 6 while the visitors are now four without a win. Home win here looks likely.

Stuttgart beat Atletico in the first round and the home side will be without Kovalenko who is injured. The sides are evenly balanced so I will go with home town advantage and pick Madrid to win.

Frankfurt host the improving PSG with both sides coming off a draw. The visitors will be without provider Beauvue after his red card. Frankfurt by the odd goal.

An N'Jie led Seatlle will be too strong for the visiting Cologne I feel with the midfield not proving as devastating as they looked earlier in the season. Home win here.

Celtic host Newcastle in a dangerous game for the Scots. Webb always seems to drive his players to a higher level against Christopher as old friendly rivalries are revisited. Both teams at Full strength. Homoe win in a very tight game.

Berlin will be visited by the improving Guanzhou and again both sides are at full strength. It is great to see the bottom side recovering but I think this game may be too much for them Berlin to take the points.

Manchester City will host Club America in the final game of the round with neither side playing that well at the moment. Previous Red Cards means that El Ghazi and Brandt will be out for the home side and Baston for the visitors. CA won the first encounter but they were flying high them and recent performances have not been as strong. Man City do have a knack of bouncing back from poor performances and I am betting on them to do it again in this game. Home win forecast.

Prediction: Sunderland take on Feyenoord in match one with both teams looking for a positive performance and a change of fortune. Both sides at full strength and I will go for a Home Win. 0-1

As you can see I am completely distracted at the moment from the game when it comes to predictions. Manager Huddo was too upset to speak with the media after the game as his side were rolled 4-0 by a rejuvenated Feyenoord. With 2 assists and a goal to his credit MOTM Moukandjo bedazzled the Sunderland defence with his number 10 Ward-Prowse only just behind him with two goals and one assist. Diego Reyes contributed with a goal in the 62nd minute that only serves to demonstrate how the visitors controlled the game. Manager Smut was manager Smug as he walked around the ground with his team applauding the crowd and Feyenoord moved back into second position on the ladder. Final Score 0-4

150x_hannover-96.jpg                    V                    150xafc-ajax.jpg

Prediction: Hanover are in good form at the moment and will be without Morel who is out injured. The home side are undefeated in 6 while the visitors are now four without a win. Home win here looks likely. 0-2

MOTM Divock Origi scored his 7th of the season (23rd minute) following some great work by Suarez as Ajax got back on track in this thriller at the AWD and really manager LauraV will be disappointed not to have come away with all three points. Hanover, will be happy to be glad to have maintained their run of 7 matches without a defeat but will know they got out of jail courtesy of an 85th minute equalizer from Amrabat.  Ajax looked to be getting back to their former confident selves and will be looking forward to their next match against Sunderland aftere their performance today. Final Score 1-1

150xATMadrid.jpg                      V                    150x_Stuttgart_FC.jpg

Prediction: Stuttgart beat Atletico in the first round and the home side will be without Kovalenko who is injured. The sides are evenly balanced so I will go with home town advantage and pick Madrid to win. 0-3 (Can't you guys get anything right!)

A cracking strike from Linetty in just the fourth minute was cancelled out by Ighalo in the 20th minute as Madrid saved the home points at Vincente Calderon. The Stuttgart defence did magnificently well to restrict the home side to just one shot on target during the game and Areola will be very disappointed that he could not keep that one out. Stuttgart sat in and defended well after the goal but one silly free kick undid them. Madrid had enough of the play to have created more chances but Castillejo had an off day and was replaced after 75 minutes. Final Score 1-1

150x_eintracht-frankfurt.jpg                    V                    150x_psg.jpg

Prediction: Frankfurt host the improving PSG with both sides coming off a draw. The visitors will be without provider Beauvue after his red card. Frankfurt by the odd goal. 1-3 (Should get bonus points for picking the margin...and NO is the answer to what you thought next)

PSG had more of the ball in his game but failed to really create concerted pressure on the home defence. MOTM Niang scored either side of half time with first Talisca and then Alli acting to assist him. This was after Correa had opened the scoring in the 8th minute following a great through ball from Talisca who now has 5 assists for the season. Risse levelled the scores early (29) with a great goal from a Routledge pass but it took until the 67th minute for Sessegnon to put the ball in the net and give his team hope of salvaging a point, which was not to be. The result put Frankfurt 4 points above PSG with these two sitting just above the drop zone. Final SCore 3-2

Prediction: An N'Jie led Seatlle will be too strong for the visiting Cologne I feel with the midfield not proving as devastating as they looked earlier in the season. Home win here. 2-3

This one went pretty well according to script for the home side with N'Jie scoring the second for his side 2 minutes before half time courtesy of an assist from Haraguchi and a very delicate flick past the keeper. This will be the second game in two rounds where a goal keeper (Donnarumma) gets a MOTM award after conceding three goals while a player on the winning side walks away without it and two goals (Captain Ronaldinho - who at 36 years of age has 5 goals and 8 assists for the season) but who am I to mention such a thing SM? To compound this situation (SM are you listening) this GK has SIX MOTM performances for a team that sits in 15th place now 5 points adrift from safety. His defence must be woeful. Thomas Foket left the field for an early bath in the 79th minute after a second yellow card and I am sure his Manager JustinX will be having along discussion about discipline and getting sent off when you are 3-0 up with only 10 minutes to go. Final Score 3-0

150x_Celtic.jpg                      V                    150x_newcastle.jpg

Prediction: Celtic host Newcastle in a dangerous game for the Scots. Webb always seems to drive his players to a higher level against Christopher as old friendly rivalries are revisited. Both teams at Full strength. Home win in a very tight game. 2-4

Manager Matt Webb will be grinning from ear to ear after claiming bragging rights from old rival Christopher in their meeting at Celtic Park. In an otherwise even game Jese scored the winner in the 53nd minute when Hazard swung in an inch-perfect cross from a corner and the defence stood watching. 13 proved unlucky for Robbie Keane who put the ball in the net in the 13th minute only to have the goal ruled offside from what could only be called a hair splitting decision from the assistant but Celtic will be disappointed to lose touch with the leaders following this game. MOTM - you guessed it...Newcastle Keeper Rico. Final Score 0-1

150x_Hertha-BSC.jpg                    V                    150x_Guangzhou-Evergrande.jpg

Prediction: Berlin will be visited by the improving Guanzhou and again both sides are at full strength. It is great to see the bottom side recovering but I think this game may be too much for them Berlin to take the points. 2-5

Manager Gozzy again worked his magic to get points for his recovering season in an interesting draw at the Olympiastadion. Berlin had 60% of the possession but could only convert that into 2 goals with MOTM Shane Long in the 2nd minute from long range and Niasse in the 72nd from a Campbell free kick. manager Whisperr will be talking to his team about concentration however because the equalisers came in the 6th minute (4 minutes after the first goal) and the 76th minute (4 minutes after their second goal) thanks two a couple of cracking shots from Oyarzabal. It would seem holding the lead is the lesson for this weeks training. Berlin are comfortably mid table but Guangzhou will be struggling to make up the 10 point deficit to get out of the relegation zone. Although there are still 12 games to go and if Sunderland continue to play like they did this week who knows. Final Score 2-2

150x_Manchester-City.jpg                    V                    150x_Celtic.jpg

Prediction: Manchester City will host Club America in the final game of the round with neither side playing that well at the moment. 2-6 (yeah yeah yeah)

On paper this was a fairly even game with both sides playing poorly but home fans expect more from their stars at the Etihad. MOTM Hysaj scored his first goal of the season from Left Back for the visitors following a through pass from a  centre back (Acerbi). Obviously the midfield and forwards could not get it right so the defenders had to chip in to show them how it is done. Winger Giovanni evened the score just 10 minutes from time to at least save a point for the home team but City remain in the drop zone and face a trip to Feyenoord next match. Final Score 1-1

Now just so you understand where my paranoia...sorry concern...comes from about this entire MOTM goalkeeper thing. Here are some stats for you to think about. I have mentioned before that there seems to be an unreasonable per centage of these in the matches. In my own games there have been 8 MOTM GK's in 18 matches...in round terms 45%. In those games my GK has had 2 of them and our results in those games have been a draw and a loss. The games in which the opposition got MOTM (6 of them) have resulted in 3 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss for the opposition. I will leave you guys to draw your own conclusions but, while obviously the computer is not picking on my team (at least I do not think it is...is it?) it does seem that the whole MOTM GK scenario is so totally random as to be unacceptable in the way that it affects games and outcomes.

MATCH DAY 19

As mentioned Manchester City travel to Feyenoord in match one with manager Noisy needing to create something special to resurrect their season. Feyenoord too strong - although a bit erratic. feret is injured for the home side and El Ghazi still suspended for the visitors. Home Win.

Ajax will host Sunderland who have lost two on the bounce and have only one win in six. Ajax however are not a lot better with only 2 points more than their opposition in the the last six games. Both sides are at full strength. Sunderland will need to really improve after their last performance while Ajax showed signs of a revival. Forecasting a draw for this one in the hope that Huddo will not let me down again :)

Stuttgart won a way from home in the corresponding fixture this season and will be without the suspended Whelan (unusual to see that really) and Hanover have not lost agame in the last 7 but are without Morel and Hoolahan through injury and Flanagan through suspension. If Boufal and Oliveira fire in this game Stuttgart will win and strangely there is only one match difference between the two teams from their last six games. However Hanover have been very strong away from home so I will go for them to win this one.

PSG will welcome Madrid to the French Capital in what should be a very close game. If Manager Lucas can get his players fired up for this one it should be an away win but manager Cookie has been getting so good results as his team struggle to avoid the the drop. I will go for a draw here.

Cologne will host Frankfurt in a must win game for both sides. Frankfurt have managed a couple of wins in a row with cologne now three matches without a point. Defoe will be missed by the visitors as he recovers from a groin strain. Cologne cannot afford to drop points in this game but a draw is the best I can see them getting.

Newcastle will take on Seattle as 1 play 5. Newcastle are at full strength and have won 5 out of their last 6 with one loss while the leaders have won 5 of their last 6 with a draw to go one better. Foket will be missing through suspension for the visitors and this will be a cracker in which I am going for the two sides to cancel each other out. A draw forecast.

Celtic will travel to Guangzhou looking to avoid another MOTM GK game and this is a dangerous one for the Scots with the home side sneaking points in their road to recovery. I will forecast the away win...but the visitors will have to be careful. The home side will be without the injured Coates.

Finally Club America will host Berlin in a game that is really too close to call. The balance may be tipped in favour of the visitors given they are three games without a loss and the home side will be missing Cheryshev through injury and Baston through suspension. Away win to the Germans

BREAKING NEWS

Paris St Germain will be without defender Aissa Mandi for their next game following a freak accident on the golf course this week. Mandi played a shot out of the rough that he topped with a 4 iron and it bounced back from the root of a tree and caught him solidly in the groin. Goalkeeper Zoet, who was playing with him at the time, rushed to his aid but the 24 year old was knocked unconscious by the severity of the blow and doctors have advised him to take a week off to avoid further injury. Mandi, who sounded a little high pitched vocally during his interview, laughed off the incident but has agreed to take the match off. Zoet has reminded him that there was a beer on the game and that Mandi lost after failing to complete the round.

Was it groin or much centered? I know the pain.

Btw why was a football player playing golf? Sea horses don't run in Derby races do they?
