Would The New Sir Alex Please Stand Up

Recommended Posts

Two things about this post, that are probably typo's but they might cause confusion:

- I presume you mean rules and prizes/penalties for season two, not three?

- 'Player minimum rating lifted to 89', I presume you mean maximum rating?

They are the prizes for season two...which will affect season three budgets.

Maximum rating is correct.

I am organising to hire you as my copywriter/editor :)

Thanks Laura.

Just waiting on Christopher to give Gordon the go ahead for gameworld changes.

Looks like Feyenoord are one of a few clubs that got their players listed early and are ready to accept bids on nearly all of the 12 that are leaving.

85m budget for 12 incoming players so we should get a starting eleven full of 89's.

Match Day 1

Sunderland travel to Newcomers Stoke City for our opening game. Sunderland will be hoping to find the new boys starstruck with the top level. Away Win Forecast

Newcastle will play host to PSG So far neither side have made a transfer so teams will be as last season. Home win forecast.

Club America have signed Jesus! That's pretty impressive. (That's Jesus Corona by the way). Venk has added john Stones to his Squad and will be looking to carry on where he finished last season. Away win forecast.

Last season champs have signed six and of course still retain Clinton N'Jie. Most notable of the signings Eric Dier and Xerdan Shaqiri. They will host Hanover who have 8 new faces including Miroslav Klose and Ahmed Musa and youngsters Luke Shaw and Samuel Umtiti. Should be interesting to see whose new signings will settle first. I am going for the draw.

Celtic have six new names with Fraser Foster in goal a major addition. Adrien Rabiot joins the midfield and Kevin Volland notched a hat trick in his first appearance during the pre-season. The will entertain Eintracht Frankfurt who have four new faces with Johannes Geis in midfield and Jose Luis Gaya down the left side of midfield and defending. Home win in a tight one forecast.

Newcomers Bordeaux and Olympiacos will meet in the first round. last season saw them draw each time they met. Olympiacos seem to have done the better trading during the close season and I am forecasting them to sneak home.

Stuttgart will host Ajax. 6 New signings at Stuttgart notably Alberto Moreno and Guy Wijnaldum. Ajax have 9 new players on the list with the notable departure of Divock Origi. Bernardo Silva, Jonas Hector, Christian Fuchs and GK Roman Burki are probably most notable in the list. Ajax to start the season with a bang.

IN the last Div One match Atletico Madrid will host Feyenoord. 6 New faces in Spain this season with Layvin Kurazawa, Andros Townsend and Michy Batshuayi the standouts. Feyenoord welcome 12 additions with Jasper Cillessen, Victor Wanyama, Jacob Blaszczykowski and Domonic Berardi notable amoungst a strong group of players. Looking the winners on paper but I will go for the draw.

In Division Two Manchester City under the management of newly arrived Domagoj Vuleta have managed to new faces so far Davide Santon and Hans Seferovic. They will play West Ham and should get the win.

Guangzhou under the control of the infamous Jared Kopstar have added 7 new faces in an attempt to get back into the top flight. GK Mattia Perrin, Lucas Digne and Dejan Lovren among them. Away win here.

Cologne will be on the road to face SL Benfica with four new players on the bus. Roberto Soldado and Francesco Totti are not a young as they were but will create a few headaches for the opposition in Div 2. Away win here

Good luck for season 2.

Feyenoord await one more external bid to come in before we can complete our transfers.

12 89's have come in, 11 free agents and then we treated ourselves to young Berardi.

We will have spent nearly all of the 90M available to us once the last 89 rated player joins.

Whilst we have have a few decent signings among them, the season is over before they will be reviewed so we are happy to make the money on them being free agents and we should have around 120M plus prize money for next season.

Our season starts at Athletico tonight, good luck Cam.

Understandable you won't have time for all the reports, I enjoyed them while it lasted! Not sure how much time I'll have to do them myself, but would be nice if everyone would do one now and then.

After our quite disastrous last season, Ajax is looking for a fresh start with an almost completely renewed squad. We had to let go a couple of well-preforming and promising players, however I decided to completely start over and let everyone have a brand new start. Tonight we will start our new season against Stuttgart, where manager KJKJ has also seem to have started quite the renewal of the starting team. So hard to say who's got the upper hand, tonight will be the first chance for most new players to show where they stand this season!

Just as a thought...wouldn't it be nice if SM were to add a column to the player lists that said U for unmanaged, M for Managed and E for external and save HOURS bunting through lists of players for one that might be available? Especially in the older gameworlds.

FEYENOORD start with 3 points, a 1-0 win at A.Madrid was courtesy of our 2 subs, Castro setting up Wanyama for the only goal of the game.

We will host Stoke on Thursday despite Gordon refusing to acknowledge the game. Hopefully Christopher will mention it later.

Berlin start off with a win

Club America 1-2 Hertha BSC

edwin-cardona_40kb5wdjiki51nj1d5gc0q7ke.

Venk continued his winning ways with Hertha BSC as the team from Berlin secured all three points in the first game of the new season. Venk took his team Mexico after a busy pre-season and new signing John Stones was able to make into the squad just in time. After a poor first 30 minutes, Hertha started to take control over the game and provided constant threat to the Mexican side's keeper. The dead lock was finally broken when a sublime pass from Campbell found Depoitre who made no mistake in finishing first time with his head.

Club America strike right back with a swift looking counter attack and equalized through Cabral 13 minutes later. The game seemed to be heading to a draw whe Campbell lobed the ball above the Club America's defense and Cardona controlled the ball with a neat touch and slotted in past the despairing keeper for the winner in the 88th minute.

Heartha BSC will face a tough test as they welcome Justin's Seattle in the next game.

Hertha BSC Berlin are delighted to announce the signing of Duarte Bernard, Andrea Bertolacci, Barcellos Taison and Tavares Fabinho. These players will join John Stones as the new faces recruited by Venk for the new season. Hertha Berlin had to sway off competition from Newcastle to complete the signing of Bernard,

Venk expressed his delight on the new signings and looks forward to see them in training.

Volland Man Of The Match in Thrilling Win

images.jpg

Celtic travelled to Hanover expecting a tough game and certainly got it. But the whole team seemed a better fit this time around after their opening loss. Kevin Volland got MOTM with a fine performance in the number 9 Role scoring oonce in each half while new 'keeper Fraser Forster kept a clean sheet at the other end.

Andre Gignac continued his good form from the Euro's with two assists. His size and athleticism causing issues for the Hanover defenders.

The midfield trio of Kirchhoff, Milinkovich-Savic and Rabiot controleld the midfield and new signing Santi Mina looked dangerous.

Celtic looking to build on this form.

Dream Debut for Fabinho

Hertha BSC 1 - 0 Seattle Sounders

Hertha BSC welcomed Seattle Sounders for their first home game of the season and didn't disappoint the fans as they registered their second win for the start of the new campaign to send a clear message to their rivals. Manager Venk handed out debuts for all the four new recruit and Fabinho in particular had game he will not forget in a hurry.

Seattle started the game game brightly out of the two sides and looked to have gone up 0-1 before the half time through N'Jie only to be flagged offside. A very even and tense game looked to be heading to a draw when Fabinho came off from nowhere to rifle Depoitre's lay off from distance to seal the 3 points in the 81st minute. Venk expressed his delight on accumulating all the three points from the game but believes there is a lot of scope of improvement in his team in the coming matches.

The German side will be facing Newcastle United in the next game at home for the third game of the season.
