When judging the quality of the predictions one must always remember to incorporate SM into the equation. I just played the same team twice in two days with the same players and the same setup for both. Won the first one 4-0 lost the second 0-1.

Match Day 11 - WRAP

Before running through the results I should mention that when we set this GW up there were a few things that I wanted to achieve that would, I hoped, make the GW more interesting and a bit tougher than one or two clubs taking over. Consequently even if a club is not doing extremely well at the moment the next season gives them the opportunity to buy better players that are still available many seasons into the competition. The second was that we tried to set up the teams so that the teams coming through from Div 4 would be the most competitive...so getting back from being relegated from a division could prove to be difficult and make it harder for the managed teams to simply take over Div one...at least for quite a while. Finally we introduced the random events to add a bit of fun and entertainment but also to bring up situations that do not normally occur in SM that would penalize or reward clubs.

From my position it seems to be working reasonably well and I hope everyone is continuing to enjoy the competition.

OH...and I should probably mention I just did the random draw for the second random event and the number for the event was number one. MAJOR EVENT. Watch your PM boxes guys....I will notify you before I post who and what.

FORECAST RESULTS

Frankfurt travel to Olympiacos where the Greeks are dangerous and will not want to repeat their last result against one of the new boys. Away Win.

Madrid will be looking for a big win against PSG to wash the buitter taste of a Sunderland defeat out of their collective mouths. PSG have been dangerous in patches recently. Home Win

PSG competitive but the early goal won the game for the home side. 2-2

Stuttgart will get a visit from the aforementioned black cats looking to put together back to back wins. Away Win

Sunderland getting back on track wining away at Stuttgart. 3-2

Newcastle travel to Bordeaux and on experience should win...but we are talking about Newcastle here. Away Win

BREAKING NEWS!!!!

Algerian defender Aissa Mandi is on the way out of PSG following an altercation with New Zealand born Manager Phil Cook at training during the last few days. Cook was welcoming the players to training using the traditional Maori greeting, also known as Hongi (see image below), when Mandi punched him and has refused to apologise for the assault. Maori-Greeting.jpg
Cook has commented that, while he understands the young defender obviously misunderstood what was going on, his reaction and failure to show remorse and apologise for the attack leaves the club with no choice but to get him out of the club.

This reporter has tried to get the thoughts of other players in the squad but they seem to want to keep their noses out of it.

Four clubs have two red cards but the total number is certainly down on last season. Seattle lead the yellow card count with 16 in 15 games.

In assists Klose from Hanover and Gignac from Celtic have 6 each. Suarez (Ajax), DePoitre (Berlin), Musa (Hanover) and Islimani (Frankfurt) are on 5.
