Everton Football Club

Everton appointed Nick Justice on the 16th of September and he has since made a lot of changes to the side since his arrival, completing a total of 25 transfers in total including those that have joined and left the club since Justice's arrival. We will see the team shortly but firstly let's speak to the gaffer who is present today, "It was an honor when a club of Everton's stature expressed their interest in me. The club are a team moving in the right direction and I believe I am the right man to take this club forward into the next chapter of its history. We have made some brilliant signings and for me have made the team into a side capable of challenging any side on our day. We have a great youth system here also which is vital to the sustainability of the club going forth. We have our aims and ideally it would be nice to be in and around the big top four this season and push on from there. We want European football at Goodison Park. It was tough to take over the well respected Ronald Koeman who for me is one of the very best in the game but he had decided his time as a manager was up and he wanted to take up a director's role at the club. He advised me on some of the young talent we have brought to the club. We have had a mixed start thus far with a mixture of results in terms of the fact we have won, lost and drawn so far. We will hopefully pick up from here; we have the quality in depth to easily push on and do well."

The goalkeeper is impressive and has been reliable thus far for us here at Everton. The fee was undisclosed but it is rumored that Stekelenberg headed in the other direction along with a sum of money. The gaffer had this to say on this addition, "Areola is a goalkeeper that I've watched for a number of years and I'm delighted he has decided to join us here at Everton and the project that we are putting together in order to improve and progress as a club. He will come in as our no.1 and we hope he has all the success he has had previously at PSG and Villarreal."
