Hi all, As you have seen, I have not really been active over the past few months other than updating my preds. It's just been me phasing out of the forum. Now that the reviews are done, I can say

Just noticed this thread has crossed 1 million views, 23k odd replies, 930 pages.  I know this is 3 and a half years old but I never intended for this to monopolise the forum back then (I would h

Hi guys,

I noticed that on Soccerwiki and through Socca’s reports that Sweden looks like it is next to be reviewed, so I’ve decided to do a starting 11 of risers from the Allsvenskan.

Just a word of caution for Isak Johannesson, he rise recently from 65 to 78 so I’m not sure if it maybe too soon for an additional rise.

Paulos Abraham is another player worth a mention, I was split between him and Blair Turgott but just decided to go with Turgott because he’s had a better season stat wise.

Paulos Abraham - 70 -> 75

Hope this might help a few managers, especially ones in division 5 in their game worlds.

Also worth mentioning that it’s my first time reviewing a lesser league so I do apologise if my predictions are not spot on. I’ve tried to air on the side of caution anyway.

Thanks for reading 🙂

Another one to watch is Alhassan Yusuf who has been compared in playing style to Kante.

Yeah he could +3 but not sure, Goteborg have had a terrible season only 4 points off relegation.

I only picked Jallow because of how low his rating is (73) he should be guaranteed a rise.

This really depends on your team situation what are your striking options?

Calvert Lewin should hit 90 in December and maybe 91 end of season if he continues his form. However he’s not what I’d class a must buy striker he’s likely showing the best he can muster now and I don’t see much improvement beyond 91.

The Kamara and Rashford offer depends on who else you have in defence as this is a fair enough approach given Koulibaly is both older and peaked.

Essentially if you want better advice could you tell me your best 4 CBs and best 4 STs?

My top 4 CBs

1. Kalidou Koulibaly

2. Upamaceno

3. Ozan Kabak

4. E. Taposoba

I play with a single striker formation, as I don't have many strikers...

My best front three

1. Dele Alli

2. Wesley Morales( plays the striker)

3. A Maier/ C stengs

I had some time to kill, so I manually checked the then-SM rating of current 94+ rated players, at their 21st bday month (Only took players aged 30 or lower, as the older players don't have their 21st bday stats). Make your own conclusions, if any...

How about Jamie Vardy at 21 years old 😁

Hugo Souza

Age - 21

Club - Flamengo

Position - GK

Nationality - Brazil

Hugo Souza a player who I’ve mentioned recently in other threads is a goalkeeper who I believe has the ability to play for a top team in Europe.

He’s currently showing his ability having been given the opportunity at Flamengo due to injuries but having excelled he is now keeping Diego Alves their first team goalkeeper out of the starting 11.

Hugo is a tall goalkeeper at 6’5, he has great reactions which makes him an ideal shot stopper, couple of highlights below showing off his ability.

First highlight is an excellent double save in his most recent game against Corinthians

Currently played 8 games for Flamengo in which his club have been unbeaten with 6 wins and 2 draws.

Hugo hasn’t featured for his nation Brazil but I wouldn’t be surprised if a call up to the u21’s isn’t far away.

SM rating - 73

Value - 1 million

Another fantastic performance from Hugo Souza (21) against Athletico Paranaense.

5 saves

4 saves from shots inside the box

Penalty saved

People, in SM terms Lucas Hernandez or Upamecano?

Let me explain the SM terms.

Lucas is 91 playing for a fantastic team who will win trophies. By the look of it he will get ample of game so that's 92 for him. And he is only 24.

Upamecano still has great hype around him. Hard to see Leipzig win something, not even German cup. Hype alone will get him +1 and performance will get him another +1. For me that latter +1 is quite debatable. He turned 22.

So 90 rated Upamecano or L. Hernandez who is 91?

Lucas Hernandez is playing more regular now because Alphoso Davies is injured but when he will be back, i don't think Lucas will have any chance to compete on that position. Lucas will have to play center and he will be in competition with Niklas Sule (it will be very competitive, i think Sule will have more chances on that position). As for Dayot Upamecano, even if he is, maybe, too hyped he is playing regularly at Leipzig so he have a better chance to rise. For me, i will chose Upamecano! ;)

Cheers!

Lucas is a great player. He is better than Upamecano in terms of ability and versatility but the biggest problem with him is he can be a little injury prone.

We also should not forget that Lucas is a World Cup winner for France while Upamecano is struggling to even get on the squad.

Hello guys,

1.Who would you choose between AWB and Achraf Hakimi?

2.Can you make a rank between this players: M.Odegaard, S.Tonali, E.Elmas, A.Maier.

Thanks!

Hakimi > AWB in terms of potential talent. AWB > Hakimi in terms of consistency and performances. I think AWB is incredibly under-rated for a more defensive RB but he is trying to up his attacking game as shown by his goal against Newcastle.

Hakimi's attacking is great. But defensively pretty meh.

Should i keep K.Coman or sell and buy 1or 2  from : vinicius,  Olmo, Torres ,Thuram ?

Same question anbout Moussa Dembele...worth keeping or replace him for future?  Im building a young team...

So I will have then coman ,halland ,fati ,vinicius ,olmo, kulusevski,pelegrini........hope best prospects .

As defenders i have Dest,Kabak, Garcia (city), Saka. Are they good prospects ?  Do You know another 4 as reserve for my defense that can be great players in the future?

Keep Coman. Sell Vinicius and maybe Pellegrini if you need the cash.

Saka isn't even a proper defender and may lose his LB position. Maybe it is worthwhile to do a little research on your own? Can't always get freebies in life. But I'll give you a new name for free: Badiashile.

Seeing as we now know Aarhus GF are being reviewed I had a "quick look" at their squad for obvious risers and have come up with these 2 BOTH rated only 73 and loads of mins:-

Sebastian Hausner 20/73 182 mins out of possible 450 this and 1,572 mins last season) Plus 5 to 78

Benjamin Hvidt 20/73 148 mins out of possible 450 this and 1,192 mins last season) Plus 4 to 77 (Plus2!)

Obviously not in my spreadsheet but Squad Cap is 82 so I'd guess as above but if SM want to be stingy maybe Plus 4 and Plus 3. Should be reviewed within 5days 😃

So far reviews for Frese, Francis and Hvidt as above, certainly not being generous! More to come...

Hi guys! If you had to pick 2 players from this list, who would you buy? Who can get to 90+ among them?

Simakan (82), Kudus (82), Ibrahima Diallo (84), Mbeumo (83), Disasi (85), Diangana (83), Bowen (86), Amrabat (86), Guirassy (86), Benrahma (85), Soucek (87), Fabio Vieira (80), Matheus Pereira (85).

Thanks! :)

I think I'd go for Simakan and Kudus as think they both have the potential to go far in the game.

Simakan regularly getting linked with moves away. I don't know if Milan are still interested or not.

Kudus has got off to a good start at Ajax and is at the right club to develop.

I would still just edge Upamecano, in 6 to 8 week Hernandez will be back to rotation again when Davies is back from injury.

I also worry about Hernandez and his injury problems.

50M + Sancho + Goretzka or Mbappe?

This is hard.

Id be fairly happy with both deals, I can see Goretzka being 94 in the future he’s such a good player and progressed so well.

Sky is the limit for Sancho but Mbappe is one of the best players in the world. Its really tricky I’ve probably not helped you at all 😂

Maybe it comes down to depth against Mbappe.

I agree with Jaybee.

Simakan and Kudus although I think Kudus has a lengthy injury so you would need to wait a little longer in seeing his rating rapidly rise.

Thank you all, guys!

I will definitely go for Simakan. Kudus was my second option, but I was a little bit concerned with his injury. However, since I am going for the long run, I guess he'd still be a good signing.

I really like Benrahma, but I am a bit unsure about signing him because he is 25 already, so he should get at least a +5 in the next couple of years, in order to become useful for my team. (I am very short on money, so I need to choose carefully)

My other option would be Ibrahima Diallo, but since none of you mentioned him, maybe he's not so good as I thought.

Socca, luckily I'm not having login problems anymore, after the last forum update, but it's true, I haven't done any predictions this month. I am a bit pissed off with this new system of randomly reviewing 2-3 leagues at the same time and I can't keep up the pace. Furthermore, I haven't had much time lately, but if SM doesn't want to go back to the old rating review system, I am thinking about a new way to contribute to this forum. You will soon have news from me! :)

Very unfortunate about Kudus, he took to life at Ajax like a duck to water. Brilliant player.

Diallo is another good option but I’m not a massive fan of his move to Southampton although a good step in his career. I feel like he will be there for 2/3 seasons whereas I see Simakan and Kudus pushing on sooner.

On the subject of Benrahma, I actually prefer Matheus Perreira of the so called oldies on your list. I don’t think he will be at West Brom after this season whether they stay up or go down, I love watching him play.

Looking forward to the new content 👍😀
