Hi all, As you have seen, I have not really been active over the past few months other than updating my preds. It's just been me phasing out of the forum. Now that the reviews are done, I can say

Just noticed this thread has crossed 1 million views, 23k odd replies, 930 pages.  I know this is 3 and a half years old but I never intended for this to monopolise the forum back then (I would h

I saw that 😂

Genuinely believe they’ve just blown their best chance of winning the league for quite some time. Liverpool will be stronger next season, City you would think would strengthen in the CF position, could do with replacing Aguero and Chelsea might be in the mix not to mention a few others.

United’s recent run of fixtures haven’t been bad on paper but 1 win in 5 isn’t good enough. United won’t win the league under Ole there’s no chance and if Bruno wasn’t there he would of been sacked a long time ago.

Yeah, no matter how well people think that Ole has done, United will never get back to where they were with him in charge. Bruno has been carrying them since he joined.

I really hope they bring in Julian Naglesmann in the summer although I doubt anything will change with the board and Woodward which I think is the main issue there.

They need a new CB pairing, the whole reason Mcfred play together is because their CB’s need as much protection as possible (Bailly excluded) That’s my opinion anyway but I’m a Newcastle fan 😂

Hi Everyone!!

My Meslier+cash for a Level 3 concern Nubel??

I have Ter Stegan as my #1

I’d keep Meslier, he won’t be far off Nubel in a season or two and Neuer isn’t retiring anytime soon so doubt Nubel will get much game time.

Watch him every week, and he's definitely a future star. As it stands, he's the best defender in the Championship, and is on his way to an 85 rating for that alone.

Next season, he'll be playing in the Premier League. Either as a part of Chelsea's first team squad, or on loan to a Premier League side to play regular first team football like Conor Gallagher and Ethan Ampadu have done.

Hopefully they get his loan move right, and he isn't playing for a side immediately fighting relegation because he's good enough to be a regular at a mid-table club for sure. Defensively he's just superb, and makes so few mistakes.

Excellent write up mate. I've just had a bid accepted for him in an extremely competitive GW so that's exactly what I wanted to hear!

I hope you manage to get yourselves promoted, you play some quality stuff. I wonder if Brentford will have another end of the season collapse... Ideally I'd like to see Norwich bottle it and you go up with Brentford.

As a Blade, we're all but down, so I hope we pass you on the way!

Update for French Review in May:-

SPSht-Prefi-France-Angrs-Borde1.png

Slight addition to the spreadsheet the last column to the right is "The Players Value in Millions" as of now. I am sure it would be helpful if anyone sees SM, sneak a rise in value, then please advise the Forum or myself. Also the 6th column heading to the right "LastRevw" ie last SM review 0%rating may appear occasionally, but only if I have that figure. As U can see Angers doesn't have that or I am not sure if it is (which is the case with Angers).

Ok more hopefully tomorrow between 5pm and 6. May only be 1 club as I don't have the full afternoon available tomorrow. Please advise on any obvious errors, particularly with the new "Million Values".

Thanks for the Forum’s interest and support for the Spreadsheet, which is greatly appreciated, Cheers Socca 😀

I agree, though I think the board would have Ole in for at least another season. The only positives about Ole is that he's come in for damage control after Mourinho, and he's trying to bring back the Utd culture, that drive to win matches, and he's finally getting rid of players that aren't good enough. He may need another season to bring in some quality players, but he should be a short term manager. I'd like to see a manager with fresh tactics come in so we're not over-reliant on Bruno.

I read something about Woodward having tears in his eyes when he showed a fellow club chief or some sporting director criticisms about him. After signing Bruno I bet he's acting like this is a victory for him, as if he showed us lol. Tells you all you need to know about him.

Edit: I'd like to add I don't rate Maguire, he's slow and a waste of the money. Never wanted him. I wish we had new CBs. As much as I like Bailly, man plays 5 games a season and he's done. And I wouldn't miss Fred or Martial at all if they left for better players to come in.

How accurate do you think these spreadsheets will be when the big5 get reviewed again? Long way to go and a lot can change in 3/4 months.

Am I right in saying that Bruno only came in in January 2020 because United had an injury to Pogba or someone in midfield? I’m sure I read that somewhere.

Since that signing the recruitment has been poor in my opinion apart from the future prospects (Diallo, Pelistri) and a last minute deal for Cavani.

sorry, but I very highly disagree, and he has been talked about recently for his positive performances back when we were still in the champions league.

😕 I beleive he was a small part of the reason as to why you were dumped out of this seasons CL at the group stage. How well did he play in your 3-1 loss against PSG back in Dec? 😀

😄😄 wahahaahaahaaa!!!!!! "Yabadabadoo!" wahahahahahaha!!!!!!! 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

I don't know, for some reason that word "Yabadabadoo!" made me laugh 😆  It's just a phrase to express excitement and joy.

may I friend you on soccer manager? If you must - I've sent a request.  🙂

Emil Audero Or Emiliano Martinez?

I saw that 😂

Genuinely believe they’ve just blown their best chance of winning the league for quite some time. Liverpool will be stronger next season, City you would think would strengthen in the CF position, could do with replacing Aguero and Chelsea might be in the mix not to mention a few others.

United’s recent run of fixtures haven’t been bad on paper but 1 win in 5 isn’t good enough. United won’t win the league under Ole there’s no chance and if Bruno wasn’t there he would of been sacked a long time ago.

Sad, but quite true. Ole just doesn't have the managerial experience or ability to compete with the likes of Pep and Klopp.

is he not a defensive midfielder...? and 3 in 100 appearances 😢

I thought he was a Box to box midfielder - more of a DM though.  It's evident his shooting is quite poor. And for 50M that's not good enough. Especially with United playing more free flowing attacking football since Ole took charge.

If he was performing on a level nearer to Kante or prime Matic then I don't think we'd be having this conversation.

I have Alaba, Hummels, Diego Carlos, Akanji, Kounde, Tapsoba and Zagadou.

Could I sell Diego Carlos?

I would sell Akanji. I reckon he is the weakest link here because he's been mostly average so far this season.

Can't remember tbh, but Bruno was supposed to be signed that last summer and they waited too long to get it done.

Thoughts on United overall this season?

okay, fine...

Beginning of the season: 🤬RELEGATION BATTLE?

Drop out of Champions League: 😐 oh dear not again.

Prematch United vs Everton 2020 (the game after the dropout against Leipzig): I might be ready for a fresh Mauricio Pochettino...

Postmatch United vs. Everton: nah, let's keep Ole!

Pogba volleys United to the top of the table against Burnley: We're gonna win the league!

Man United is consistent on dropping points: we're title contenders!

Man United tie to Everton while City thrash Liverpool : at least we'll make top four!

Man United tie to WEST BROMICH ALBION!!!!!!: who are we again?

Would you sell Bentacur for 28 mill in a gw where money is important and replace with Bennacer for 16 or Tielemans for 24?

I’d go for either to be honest Tielemens or Bennacer. Probably be the safer option to pick Tielemens.

Hi mates, I need to offload as many players as possible from this lot, to free space in a capped gw (ideally, in exchange of other players). Who would you sell?

Luis Henrique
Santiago Sosa
Matias Pellegrini
Zagre
Gboho
Miguel Silveira
Redan
Baluta
Max Bird
Aiwu
Vitinho Santos
Lars Lukas Mai
Caio Alexandre
Ebosse
Jhon Espinoza

Plus these, who can't be used in part exchanges (they are older than the age cap), so they would have to go to unmanaged clubs for cash:

Djordje Mihailovic
Bruno Jordão (hopefully he could get a rise soon)
Burgzorg

Cheers! :)

I'm speaking as a Liverpool fan lol. I think there is little chance of them changing manager in the summer. Naglesmann would be a great appointment, but Ole is the perfect man for the board to have in place. He won't rock the boat etc. Their CBs will always be an issue, thanks to them spending so much money on Harry.

Definitely get rid of Bentacur then? I have Kessie and Camavinga in that position also

Yeah get rid of Bentancur, I like the fact you could bring in Veron as you mentioned on one of your previous posts.

As a Newcastle fan I 100% agree 😂

I pick no side when it comes to United or Liverpool but always like to throw in some banter when I can with these 2 teams because they are the 2 biggest clubs historically.
