So how d you rate Jota? he seemed to be brilliant, then injured and then not so good. Will he return to his greatness? I ask as level 3 concerns at another club and I am thinking of making an offer

its that CGW with "that manager who will no doubt ask for wirtz and musiala and cash (but I wont do that) Just wondering how you rate his chances of retaining 91 and can he go higher?

anyone?

is he worth a "big buy? or jusy another youngish 91 who will drop to 90 and stay there for rest of career?

i rate him pretty high. its normal to come back after an injury and take a little time to get back up to speed.

i dont know what his peak is but I doubt he will drop soon.  Liverpool don't look like theyre getting any new first team attackers in this summer so he will get a lot of game time if he can stay fit.

We have more than a couple of Big Liverpool supporters on here? Is this true? Coutinho wouldn't be welcomed back or is it just the usual headline grabbing punditry?

'We don’t need him', 'He's washed' - Many LFC fans fume at journalist's fresh claim over 29 y/o (msn.com)

Varane deal creeps closer to fruition But Pogba?? :- Man Utd plotting huge display of intent over future of divisive midfielder (msn.com)

Correct, he definitely wouldn't be welcomed back. The way he engineered his move to Barca hasn't been forgotten. His massive fall from grace is sad to see, but I still wouldn't take him back.

I actually think a move to Everton would be decent for him, and I'm not joking.

3 rating changes in the last 6 months for Romania league. What’s going on there? SM being very sneeky. Or they they thinking he's already 22, he's the national team GK, playing in a decent club in Romania = he should be rated higher.

SM workers must be Romanian 🤷‍♂️

🤔 Andrei Vlad works for SM. 🤐

Liverpool manager wants to buy my Chiesa. I guess I can afford him to lose him if I can get a decent duo in return. Current offer is Richarlison + Ward Prowse. Don't know as either of them have enough to rise really, especially in their current situations.

I'm tempted to counter for Ferland Mendy + Saka/Kulusevski but not sure that'd be too fair Saka and Kulusevski would make it a fairer deal. Although do ask for Saka and F. Mendy first.

If defensa needs to stregthen and needs depth then choose the bold duo. Otherwise keep Aouar!

Good time to sell Kroos for Hakimi, considering age and SM rating drop? I have another mid that can take over.

Thinking of selling 2 defenders , and buying 2 others .

selling :
-Balerdi (84)
-Aguerd (86)

buying :
-ezri Konsa (88)
-axel Tuanzebe (84)

Good idea. ☝

For me it is dangerous to keep Aguerd since he gets no playtime in my squad and he is 25 years old . I might buy him back at a later time right before he gets a rise .
Ezro Konsa is higher rated and thus could be used for a cupgame some time .

Tuanzebe could get a transfer to Villa .

Both viable talents to invest in ? Si si si.

I know Balerdi just got a transfer to OM , where he seems to get decent gametime .
So maybe Balerdi I sell and rebuy ? No sell. And not rebuy, not until he and OM have a very good start to season and look to finish the season better than last the last one.

Ah. You were toooo busy counting your winnings at the casino 🤑 Mr Poker man. ☺ 😀

Been offered Frenkie + Alphonso Davies AND 25m for VVD. If you've already got good cover in the CB area, and need a better LB and a better midfielder then you should accept this offer.

I'd be a dummy to reject this wouldn't I? LOl

What are people's thought on Botman staying put at Lille when the team has gone/going through wholesome changes?

I reckon he'll stay for another season yet. It seems like everyone is after Renato Sanches rather than the others.

Will he be able to replicate his performance? Possibly. Because the back-line hasn't been affected much apart from the GK. I reckon Lille will bring in/back from loan someone who's (hopefully) good enough to replace M. Maignan

Considering your answer above Badiashille (I noticed he was benched a good few times towards the end of the season) or Botman? Botman. From what i've seen of them i reckon overall Botman is the better defensor.

Klostermann for 20M it's a good investment? Si!

Thank you

His versatility will always come in handy. Although he mostly plays on the right or in the center. Don't tell the lads on Soccer Wiki that though. 🤫 😀

MUST BUY TALENT ALERT 🚨

Lesley Ugochukwu (17) is part of the Rennes youth academy who seem to be brilliant at bringing central midfielders through with the likes of Eduardo Camavinga and Noah Francoise who is likely to feature in future years (another one to watch for)

Ugochukwu is a holding midfielder who has a strong physical presence to his game, he can also play as a box to box midfielder with tremendous natural fitness. Defenders have a hard time dealing with him because of his size and ability to brush of opponents when in contact situations.

On top of this he’s also very adapt technically, showing great vision and executing passes into the final third and through the different phases of play. All round very accomplished for his age and I believe he has a huge future in the game.

SM rating - 70

Value - 240k

His talent sounds similar to Eduardo Camavinga in many ways.

Emerson royal or tyler adams?

Tyler Adams is restricted in rating and gametime while he's at RB Leipzig ecen though he's a mega useful player due to his versatility. However, lets say if Emerson Royal has a flying start to his Barca career then he could and will surely go further above Tyler Adams in rating.

I rate Jota a lot! He has been unlucky with his injuries and this played a part in the 'drop' in form he had last season. I'm expecting Jota to kick on this season and be integral to the 1st team going forward.

Definitely worth buying, can’t forget he was arguably Liverpool’s best player for a spell last season. Just unfortunate injuries made it a short one.

Lewis Bate (18) looking like he could be on his way to Leeds United, looking for a club that has a quick pathway to the first team and would be a great signing for the Yorkshire club!!

Pearl-Harris linked closely with Brentford (as per the Athletic piece) and Livramento wants out too. Interesting to see where these three go.

It’s really good to see, I think some of these youngsters have seen the likes of Sancho, Musiala (who was at Chelsea) and thought they are good enough to play senior football now, rather than sit in a top academy.

Already seen Guehi move on from Chelsea, Simeu is another who should be on the move from Chelsea this week.

2 MUST BUYS added to the SM database this morning:

Jota worth swapping my players like two from Rensch, vranckx, simakan p sarr, eze, benrahma , T Marcao, or p Gueye, and max cash for? I am trying to keep Zubimendi, fofana, wirtz, musiala, greenwood but am sure he will want one of those

I think a fair deal for Jota would be Zubimendi + Benrahma/Eze for Jota.

I’m hugely confident Liverpool will be back next year and his SM rating will benefit, certainly wouldn’t rule out Liverpool lifting the Premier League trophy again.

I also find it mad how if a play like Jota or even Dias has a bad international tournament they’re all of a sudden a bad player.

The Athletic sent me this "taster" which I find interesting but NOT enough for me to subscribe, but interesting nevertheless, so anybody know who they are talking about? My bet is it's Declan Rice or Kalvin Phillips.

"Manchester United fans, do you want the good news or the bad news first? I’m going to assume you like to finish with a positive, so we’ll get the bad news out of the way.

The squad that finished second last season is projected to win eight fewer points this season, which gives them only a one in 80 chance of winning the league and a likely finishing position of fourth, behind Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Says who? Says Real Analytics, a team of computer science and mathematics professors who have become football’s favourite soothsayers. They were probably the first forecasting firm to spot that Leicester would win the title in 2016 and they backed that up by predicting Chelsea would win in 2017, by seven points, and Arsenal would finish outside the top four for the first time in 20 years.

Having spent the best part of 20 years working with the betting industry and professional gambling syndicates, the men behind Real Analytics turned their brainpower to every club’s biggest head-scratcher: player recruitment.

And here is the good news.

By signing Jadon Sancho, which is only a formal announcement away, United have already added four points to their expected points total (from 65.8 to 70.2), improving their chances of a top-four finish by 50 per cent (40.4 per cent to 63.3%) and lifting their hopes of a 21st league title by 250 per cent.

OK, the latter statistic is just an improvement from a 1.2 per cent chance to a 4.2 per cent one, or one in 25, but signing the 21-year-old Londoner from Borussia Dortmund is clearly a step in the right direction.

But do you know what would really move the needle at Old Trafford? I suspect you do but for those who have not been paying close attention, the answer is a truly dynamic defensive midfielder to replace the “McFred” axis of Fred and Scott McTominay. And Real Analytics knows who it is."

Don't think they will mind me passing this on as obviously as it's just a taster.

I’m a subscriber, and they are saying Camavinga would add an extra 6 points or something, and Varane would add another 4 or so. Basically, sign both and your chance of winning the title goes from 1.2% to 15%, according to Real Analytics.

FWIW, I think The Athletic is well worth one of the discount deals, but I will probably cancel subscription once it bumps up to full price

shame too see these guys go, but i respect them for putting their careers in their own hands, we've wasted way too many talents over the years just sending them on loans that never made sense
