To be honest, as an Inter supporter I am very disappointed, on several different levels, not only from a football point of view.

I was gullible enough to believe that Lukaku of all players was a different character to most his colleagues, I really believed that money was not the only thing that motivated him, and I valued him as a person (from what transpired through the media) even more than as a footballer. Of course, my point of view was very naive, so I deserve to be mocked by all the opposing fans.

However, I confess I am deeply disgusted by what football is increasingly becoming (PSG, Messi, City, Chelsea, Super League, sheikhs, oligarchs, Zhang, Florentino, Laporte, etc.) and the love I feel for the game is severely challenged by its vulgar and unbridled commercialisation.

I am not one of those nostalgics who dreams of a football without sponsors and without all the business that goes with it. But this whirlwind of money is becoming every day more exaggerated and nauseating and I really believe that it has to be stopped in some way, if you don't want to completely erase the passion of millions of people like me, who are in real danger of falling out of love with this sport.

I also hate what football has turned into on the financial front, yet i reckon it was inenvitably going to happen given the increasing global popularity of football and the lack of sanctions on the many top teams who break FFP rules, come to think of it, do FFP rules even exsist?

Loving your new DP by the way. And to be fair on R. Lukaku (never though it'd be defending him) his transfer will most certainly help Inter bring in a decent replacement, given the financial mess Inter are currently in.

which deal is better? The one in which you get Grimaldo because it sounds as you could do with an out an out LB.

Zielinski for Diallo, D. Silva (Real Sociedad) and 10m: it almost seems to much for Zielinski at this moment in time.

Or

Grimaldo for diallo and £12m. 🤝 Diallo and 12M is actually the better side of this deal. Although (from reading the below) it sounds as though you could do with the addition of a LB because you want to use Klostermann as a RB (where you are short) rather than at LB.

I currently have Klosterman and spinazola as my LB with N mendes to come through (but would be thinking of Klost a smore RB cover where I am shorter if Spinaz loses his RB soon.

Midfield is Jorginho, ferrera, lingard, pacqueta+ inaki williams, with Wirtz to come through

I feel I need Zielinski more, will he retain his 91 easily? Si. Should really stay more easier than Diallo. He doesn't have compo in midfield as much and is a regular (important) starter for Napoli.

Seeing as how potentially Lukaku and Martinez might be leaving Inter, is Martin Satriano worth buying? How highly rated is he? From what i read and gather of him: he'z more talented than Inter's other 2 young strikers. He's even being compared to Edison Cavani, because of his style of play and the fact that he's from Uraguay of course. 😀

Just on the Wesley FOFANA leg break, I'm trying to source a replacement asap.

He's a starter for my side but with the injury likely won't rise for at least 1 full season? It's very possible. However factors to consider = it depends on how quickly he can recover, solidify a place in the eleven and if he can help Leceister City finally finish in the top 4 and even win another cup along the season.

Out of the available players below, who'd the forum recommend?

3. Benoît BADIASHILE

2. Sven BOTMAN

1. Cristian ROMERO

4. Nordi MUKIELE (not too keen due to wages/position) Me neither .😀

The below is also available however I'm assuming it'll take until the end of the season to reach Fofana's rating? Nope. It may take 2 season of good performances to go from 85-89 look at (underrated) Edmound Tapsoba i'm sure he was the best performing defensor last season and that couldnt even get him a rise.

What is the forum's general opinion of these two? Christian Romero.

4. Mohamed SIMAKAN

5. Odilon KOSSOUNOU

I put them in order.

Is it worth trading either Neto or Reyna to secure Rodrygo? Neto 4 Rodrygo.

I don't think we've yet to see the best of Rodrygo yet. Ineven read from some RM fans that they consider him to be their best winger.

Also, what is the forum's opinion on Ander BARRENETXEA v Bryan GIL?

Calhanoglu +1 (5%) Will he with Inter get of to a flyer like Inter did last season? I doubt it, given they have already sold top players to help them out of their financial mess.

I partly agree with what you say, mate. I mean, It was not an act of God that decided that clubs that do not respect FFP would not be punished. It is a choice of men and those men should be called to account. In my opinion, these are very short-sighted choices on the part of those who govern football, and their ineptitude, or corruption - or both - is leading to the system swallowing itself up in its endless voracity. What is the point, honestly, of a club like PSG? If I were a fan of theirs, I would be equally disgusted.

As for Lukaku, it's not the football aspect that worries me. Of course, he is a magnificent striker, and he will be worthily replaced, or not. The point is that since he arrived at Inter, by his own choice, through his statements and his communication strategy, he has set himself up as a reference point and symbol of posiveness within the team, and almost an activist and defender of social and civil rights outside the pitch. But in the end (although certainly forced to leave by the Inter ownership in need of money) he has proved to be a greedy pig like all the others.

If you are not going to live up to your promises, you should better just do your (excellent) job as a footballer, without claiming to be a symbol of positive values in football, and you'll see that Inter fans wouldn't be so pissed off and disappointed with you today.

I don’t think there is a better time than this evening to introduce Tzolis to the forum, this evening he has become the youngest ever player to score in Europe for PAOK.

He’s helped put PAOK in a really strong position to qualify against Besiktas scoring a brace and producing an assist in PAOK’s 3-1 win.

Two videos below of both goals from tonight:

Tzolis has a great chance of building on his 495 minutes last season and hopefully become more of an integral part of PAOK first team.

Highlights of last season at youth level:

As seen above Tzolis is capable on both feet and likes to attack his opposing number to either cut inside and get a shot off or go on the outside for a crossing opportunity.

Christos Tzolis is currently not in SM but I wouldn’t be surprised if he was to be added in the near future, keep an eye out.

SM rating - 80

*rating changes - 76 -> 78 -> 80

Value - 1.4 million

Piero Hincapie (19) made his full senior debut in the Copa America last night for Ecuador, on top of this he has played every minute for CA Talleres in Argentina this season amassing 1170 minutes.

Piero Hincapie v Colombia

☑️ 90 min
⚔️ 14 duels won
💪 3/3 tackles won
✈️ 5 aerial duels won
🤼‍♂️ 5 ball recoveries
🔀 4/5 dribbles won
🦶 95 touches

Good player to pick up now on 3k wages, only rated 70 and at 240k value, should get a big rise +8/10 when reviewed.

TRANSFER NEWS/RUMOURS

A couple of transfers to be excited about this evening, particularly Tzolis who could be on his way to the Premier League.

Norwich City have reportedly offered around €12 million for the young Greek talent who had some pretty remarkable stats last season, 16 goals/10 assist. Norwich are doing some great business this summer both IRL and from a SM perspective, Josh Sargent the latest to join along with Billy Gilmour earlier on in the window.

Apparently he is a good player but I am wondering if he is worth buying right now .

Josh Sargent moving to Norwich , from an SM point of view this is not enough to pick him up i guess ? (Norwich low squad cap + they already have recently bought Rashica up front , together with their base player Tod Canwell) .

Okay I will butt in and give you a different perspective. It's not about agreeing or disagreeing but showing you a different side.

Ask Ligue 1 what is the point of PSG. Let's say, Messi moves to PSG can you imagine the attention Ligue 1 will get? In fact opponent fans will purchase tickets to watch Messi play. That was the whole idea with Neymar and others. Now imagine, going back 4 years, PSG goes to Neymar and says 'Ligue 1 allows only to give you 5m a year would you like to join us?' The money and attention PSG brings in to their league is huge for many clubs. And all this cannot happen without money.

Let's say, you earn 24k a year. So you buy a Maruti car for 4k to travel. Then you get promotion and start earning 50k a year, I am pretty sure you will be driving a more expensive car even though your Maruti is  functioning very well. That's life and in life money talks.

As for Lukaku, what has he done wrong? Inter are in difficult position financially. Chelsea smelled it and put an offer that Inter couldn't refuse and Lukaku agreed to move. I cannot see a single thing wrong in there. And being an Inter fan you should know how running badly can ruin a club. You were there just a few years ago.

May be Lukaku said things at a time he believed held then. Things (situations) have changed since.

The final point is regarding your previous post regarding money ruining football.

Let me ask you this if a company (any company) makes 100m net profit every fiscal year and decides to distribute it amongst it's employees, what is wrong with that? Would you rather the company the company takes vast sum and gives tuppence to it's employees? Same goes with football. Football was always commercial but not to this extent. Even in the 70s when people were living in 2 bedroom flats footballers were living in 5 bedroom flats because they earned that much during that time.

And finally, if you are hinting players earn too much and fans are paying for it. Well a fan is not being held at a gun point. A fan has the luxury of choices to take the money and pay to a doctor/nurse/hospital to watch them operate for a year or pay the military to watch them fight or even better donate to a charity.

I'm expecting Havertz to have a really good season coming and Chiesa was exceptional in the Euros so I can fully understand your quandry. I'm possibly 40-60 the other way

As u are 60-40 I would start off asking for a larger slice of cash becos who makes their best offer first? Isn't there always a bit more? Start off asking a high figure of say 16m. If he offers 12m on top at any point, then I'd probably accept, otherwise I'd let the deal simmer until u know more.

Seeing how each plays this coming season will give u a greater insight and then U could go back to him with your more informed offer IF U don't want to keep Havertz.

Josh Sargent is only 85, now they are in the Premier League that squad cap could rapidly rise if Norwich do well. I think he’s pretty decent buy in SM now.

Chiesa played well in the euros but Havertz came into his own at the end of last season (and champions league final) and I reckon he is going to continue to flourish next season.

If you're keen on Chiesa, maybe ask for an extra bit of cash too? Although if it were me I would take the straight swap :D

Also gutted that he didn’t join the Premier League, would of loved to see him week in week out and have the opportunity to go and see him live.

If there is a player in an external club that many clubs of the championship want, which offer wins when all the offers are in the limit you can offer?
The first who made the offer?
The offer with the best players offer as exchange?
The best team?
