Leaning towards the duo but seems like a really close call

Might be overthinking or getting impatient as it's the first game, but Upamecano didn't seem convincing. I didn't really watch him when he was in Leipzig and I'm hoping I can see more games before being forced to make a transfer, but wondering if I should go for Bastoni or Varane instead. I was thinking of building long-term, but Varane for some years doesn't sound bad when there's low rating CB youth players I can wait for.

I would wait and see, he’s adjusting to a new system at Bayern playing in a 2 alongside Sule. Rather than a 3 at Leipzig, plus you have new teammates etc.

Duo

Not sure with the Gk’s it’s a close one, maybe just edge Martinez but I watch a lot more EPL so that could be a biased view.

Has anyone else experienced not being able to "View Match" in ANY game world ? 🤬

I know this occured with some cup games in some game worlds, but this time it seems to be across the board - all games with all teams in all worlds ...

BTW: I sent in a ticket ... 😉

Switched my browser to Chrome from Firefox. Problem solved.

I've not watched him very often over the last 2 seasons but as I have mentioned b4 on the forum he seems to make mistakes when I do. The massive following he's received since then tend to make me think I haven't seen enough of him and it's just co-incidence...

... Then I read your post and I start wondering about him again 🙃

Simakan + schlager or yusuf demir? S & S.

Yusuf Demir is quite the talent coming through at Barca, like many others currently are. Although he's not yet established himself so therefore in a CGW you've got to choose the duo.

I dont care if its only been 1 game, we're still at the top

Great optimism amico, but still let's not get ahead of ourselves and put unnecessary pressure on the players/yourself.

I remember last season we were 10 games in and City were being written off by many.

Spain number one.

Club team number one.

Can anybody answer this? Si.

PS: Tagging doesn't mean I only want to hear from that person. It means I know for certain the person knows things regarding my question.

Fedrik Opegaard

It doesn't look like PSV are linked to any LB's as far as i can see, therefore Opegaard should amass some gametime this season.

https://globalsportsarchive.com/people/soccer/fredrik-oppegard/287969/

And, it seems like he's already getting a healthy amount of gametime. Of course the first team gametime is very important for his confodence, development and improvement at the highest level.

Depending on how long you will be sticking around for.

Personnally (atm) i dont rate Dayot Upamecano too highly (just yet) either, because of the amount of fouls he concedes and his weakness in getting caught out of position. But we wait an see what he can bring to Bayern, he's actually started of reasonably well judging by his preseason.

4 hours ago, Wander Saraiva said:

Trincao + Semedo or Calabria? Duo-only in a CGW though. Because i rate Calabria much more than i do N. Semedo.

Emiliano Martinez or Unai Simon? What is the best long-term choice? The one who recently won the Copa America and is one of the best in the PL.

Ethan Laird

Age - 19

Club - Manchester United

Position - RB/RWB

Nationality - England

Yet another high potential right back for England, Laird is the product of Manchester United youth academy and spent last season on loan at League One side MK Dons.

He’s an attacking full back who has excellent pace and loves to drive at his opposite number, great dribbling technique and also solid on the defensive phase of play.

Highlights of last seasons loan at MK Dons

My thoughts on him going forward is that I believe he could play back up to Aaron Wan-Bissaka next season or if this is not in the managers plans then another loan but to a team in the Championship.

Very solid talent who is worth picking up in SM for sure.

SM rating - 73

Value - 400k

Ethan Laird (20) had a successful loan spell at MK Dons in League one last season, United have sent him back out on loan again this time to Championship side Swansea City.

Dynamic attacking full back, very good signing from Swansea City and will add much more of an attacking threat to their game.

SM rating - 76

Value - 700k

  22. Mads Bidstrup (73) - Brentford
  23. Oliver Skipp (82) - Spurs
  24. Japhet Tanganga (82) - Spurs

After this has been announced today, I'd like to add another name to this list. He has always impressed me, when he has played for Liverpool. Really interested to see how he gets on at Blackburn (it worked out perfectly for Harvey Elliott).

Happy with this move for him, united with his MK Dons manager too. Hope he does well.

FIRST European U-23 (players born in 1998+) Team of the Week by Football Talent Scout!

🇬🇪 Giorgi Mamardashvili
🇭🇷 Borna Sosa
🇫🇷 Jean-Clair Todibo
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Trevoh Chalobah
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Japhet Tanganga
🇳🇱 Carel Eiting
🇱🇺 Leandro Barreiro
🇧🇪 Charles De Ketelaere
🇫🇷 Kylian Mbappé
🇫🇷 Mohamed-Ali Cho
🇳🇴 Erling Haaland

Focusing on Mamardashvili, Chalobah, De Ketelaere, Ali-Cho and Haaland this week.

First of all I was fairly surprised to see Mamardashvili starting for Valencia, had a very complete game and managed to keep a clean sheet even though his team had 10 men for nearly 90 minutes. Has potential to be a very good riser this season.

Next up Trevoh Chalobah, dreams really do come true, especially if you are Chalobah who dedicated his first PL goal and debut to his late mother who he promised would make it as a professional footballer.

Fun fact: Lille pushed for Chalobah in the summer but Tuchel said he didn’t want to sell, you can see why.

De Ketelaere was the stand out performer for Club Brugge in their latest match against Zulte Waregem:

1 goal
2 assists
33 passes
79% pass accuracy
5 key passes
2 big chances created
2 successful dribbles
1 interception

One of the brightest prospects in Belgium football, he will play for a top European team in the future.

Phenomenal, exciting and joy to watch, just a few words to describe Al-Cho’s performance this weekend, helping secure top spot for Angers with a surprising 3-0 over Lyon, Ali-Cho was a constant thorn in the side not only for Lyon but Cornet who had a torrid time against the flying winger, Cornet eventually got sent off for a late challenge on Cho.

Last but not least and a player who I would imagine we will see many more times in these teams of the week, Erling Haaland, 2 goals 2 assists and an all round excellent performance.

Thats all for this week

Cheers Kieran 😁

Interested to see how Enzo Millot gets on as was tipped for big things when he was on fringes of Monaco team.

Received an offer for my Toloi in a long term ultra CGW.

Paredes + any of the following kids

christoph klarer / sebastian kosa / kaine kesler / bryang kayo / tyler wolff / akinkunmi amoo / lukas masek / kieron bowie

What do you suggest?

Keep toloi or go for the offer?

Can the best three kids be ranked so that I can negotiate accordingly?

Thanks in advance 🙌🏻
