It hasn't exactly been the one season. Man United currently sit sixth, roughly 20 points off the frontrunners. Fair to say that 2018/19 will already be the sixth season in a row Man United haven't had a sniff of the title. SM could/should have been a lot "harsher".

That's a bit what-about-y.

Didn't exactly challenge for the title that season either.

Chelsea and City have been crowned Champions, twice even, in that same (post SAF) timeframe. City have plenty of high-rated players though and it wouldn't be a surprise if they're bumped up in the current review. Unlike at Man United there's no 94 rated player at Chelsea (and fewer 93 rated ones). Kante should have been on 94 already and Azpi on 93, but they didn't get it, even after winning the title in record-breaking fashion.

always in CL,

Nope (2014/15 and 2016/17 wasn't even that long ago)

Also, Man United have been poor in the CL in the last 8 years despite the very kind draws.

what does chelsea arsenal do in European competition ?

Chelsea are the most recent CL winners from the PL ;)

Chelsea reached the CL semis more recently than Man United as well.

Good luck with that.

United reached the final 7 years ago, and were shafted by Cakir in 2013. They were knocking Madrid out until the ref decided to get involved. The next 4 years weren't great, granted.

In a few days it will be 2019. They were poor this season as well (so including the current one, 8 seasons since 2010-11). Hey-ho, 7 or 8, doesn't matter, Man United aren't exactly viewed as a threat in the CL these days. It would be a big upset if PSG fail to win.

Complaining about refs = we'll be here a while. Nah, thank you.

Yes it will be, but it will be the worst moment to play them, with Mourinho it was an easy win for sure... Without it could be a fierce fight.

You are pretty deluded if you think Man Utd aren't a big club!

Off the pitch we are still far ahead of moat of the competition and honestly, we are the right managerial appointment and 3-4 players (again the right manager plays a huge part here) away from being genuine title contenders again...

You are being a tad dramatic, Utd are a massive club

If only Man United customers were a bit less insecure. And a bit less rude.

It isn't the first year that claim has been made.

As a reminder, Cam's quote: "SM have always been quite generous with 'big' sides having a bad season. They tend to not punish those teams as hard for underperfoming on the 1 season length of time as they always seem bounce back." I wouldn't say anything if this was the case. Yet it's been a lot more more than the one season. Sorry to be captain obvious but performances have fallen off a cliff since SAF left (for the sixth season in a row now).

Earlier ITT the 2011 CL final was mentioned. That's a long time ago. Only one Man United player that played in that game still plays for the "club" (not much though; can't complain if he gets a rating decrease). OTOH Pedro, then Barca and currently a Chelsea player, scored the opener :)

You can't include this season when United haven't even been knocked out yet. All I'm saying is, they've been poor in it since Ferguson retired, which was 5 years ago.

You wont be surprise to hear that i am curently flipping disgusted in Arsenal, Liverpool are a good side, but dont be fooled by how easily they won. We just imploded. Disgusting.

Yep, your heads dropped after the third goal. Very soft penalties for the 4th and 5th, especially the latter. Some of that defending though, you must be absolutely livid.

Is it possible to save a concern level 4 outfield player?

Yeah but he'll need to start every game. Subbing him off is fine, but he needs to start rather than just come on as a sub.

Ricardo Pereira 90? 50/50?

Very much doubt it.

I have only played 2 years, what would be your predictions for England? Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, City?

When will we see Max Aaron’s?

No idea, they've not been adding as many players as normal recently.

Anyone heard from Sir Rahul?... Been a while he hasn't said anything here... Doesn't usually happen.. Been here for few weeks though.. Don't know if this normally happens.. Just concern

He's been active elsewhere so he's OK. Not sure why he's not been on here.
