Tough challenge ahead of me... now I know how Tony Pulis feels! Hopefully we (West Brom) can land a few of our transfers though.

Still teams available - sign up, it's looking like a decent, competitive GW!

Newcastle United appoint Nick Justice as the new Gaffer to replace Rafa

On Saturday evening it was announced that Rafa Benitez had decided to part company with Newcastle United ahead of the season in EC33537- the Spanish manager has decided to return to his native country with an undisclosed side. So with the managers job vacant the owner Mike Ashley(a loved guy in Newcastle!) looked to make a speedy replacement for the departing manager. They were looking for a long-term manager and someone with a bit of experience in the game. They turned their attention to the English gaffer Nick Justice the manager who has experienced the lower leagues in the game as well as some time in the higher leagues across Europe. At 22-years-old the new manager becomes the youngest in the history of the club, he is in fact younger than most of his current squad!

We caught up with the new manager at St. James' Park about pretty much everything about the job; he had quite a lot to say. " This is a huge club who need Premier League football and that's my overall aim in my time in the North East! We have been very actively looking to improve the quality and reduce the quantity of players at the club. We have quite a lot of deadwood at the moment and we are looking to change that and fast. We know the players we want to ideally keep here but it could well be that those players wish to depart; I shall be working closely with the player to determine those who are committed and those who aren't and those players will be the first to go. We have targets in mind and I'm enthused by the funding given to us by the clubs owners as the fee at our disposal will help us improve our squad massively. We've already added one player from Manchester City, in Enes Unal- a very talented young Turkish player who has spent time in Holland to improve his game; we will talk about him some more later.  We have our aims and our chairman has his and they are pretty much the same! The philosophy that I have always had is to try and invest in the future of the club but also improve the now, to bring sustainability to the club and move forward. We have a week to improve before the big kick-off against Barnsley on the 5th of November. "

When asked about his transfer targets he had this to say, "We know who all our ideal targets are and for sure if we get them all i'll be thrilled but we must be realistic and aim within our means. Like I previously said to you guys we have to make the club have some stability and ensure its sustainable in the long-term. We are in a very competitive league with a lot of fixtures in small periods of time so although I want to reduce the depth of the squad now currently in it 50's we still want a squad of around 30-32 to ensure we have a strong team in every competition we compete in this season. I know as journalists you'll want to get some names from me but I won't be talking name, the only name you'll get from me is Enes Unal who has already signed! Let's talk about the 20-year-old; he has a great record in Holland which sparked our interest and he was brought back to his parent club Manchester City by their new manager Garry Crawford and we spoke about a deal and I'm delighted to say we managed to sign the Turkish International for £2.8-million. We feel this is a small investment to make in a player with a great future and we are sure he'll become a Toon hero in no time at all."

Enes Unal signs from Manchester City for £2.8-Million, the 20-year-old Striker could be a key star in a long season for Newcastle United.

It was also confirmed by the club that, Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Marlos Moreno have arrived at the club on season-long loan deals. The trio are all 20 years-old and eager and hungry players who'll help add something in a very long season for The Magpies.

It looks like an exciting season ahead for the Newcastle United faithful who have waited a long time to have something to cheer about- newly relegated but with a sense of optimism under the new manager. We are all very eager to see who Justice brings to the club over the coming days! We are sure to see some big changes at the club! Of that we are certain.

I look forward to you fixing the price of shirts and sticking everyone on zero-hours contracts whilst carrying around bundles of £50 notes you've just won at the casino then! ;)

ng7757537.jpgForest welcome Porto duo Jota and Silva

2 of the biggest Portuguese talents will be donning red and white next season and Nottingham Forest have wrapped up quite a sensational swoop. Jota and Silva are highly-thought of and reports indicate were chased by almost a dozen clubs which makes the signing quite a coup for Abdul Noor's men. Added to that, Noor has also boosted his ranks with the signings of Lirola, Calabria, Dembele, Emre Mor and Guedes. It's been an amazing window for Forest and the fans' excitement can hardly be contained.

Newcastle United make many moves in the Transfer Market and remain unbeaten in Pre-Season

Just a day into his tenure new boss Nick Justice had  acted fast in the Transfer Window- we here at SMForum News have learned of the news that they've brought in a total of 16 players so far! Yes 16, a large amount of changes have taken place since the arrival of the new gaffer. He outlined on his arrival of his desire to make change sin order to help his side gain the expectation of promotion back to the Premier League this season. Newcastle have really sent out a statement of intent with the signings and the caliber and quality of player they've brought to the club.

With that Newcastle have also managed a complete unbeaten pre-season ahead of the season ahead...not only that they managed to go without conceding a goal, scoring a total of 28 goals over 8 games! Pretty impressive from the new boys at the club.

The gaffer also stated his ambitions to ensure a sense of sustainability in his investments made into players at the club. When you look at the players the club have brought in, it is easy to determine that it is in fact about not just the now but also the long term aspirations the club has set. The oldest player signed is still just 25-years-old which as a starter gives you an indication of the type of player that was targeted and brought into the club by Justice.

Tonight at 20:00, Newcastle will face Barnsley at St. James' Park in their opening league fixture and although many see them as a mid table type of team, we know the manager will take no league or cup fixture lightly. With a long and tiring season ahead Justice knows every point is vital in this division- we caught up with the gaffer about the transfers and about what to expect from his first game in charge this Saturday night. Here is what he had to say, " We have been able to what I feel is massively improve the squad by taking full advantage of the transfer market. We've brought in some players who look set to have a glistening career ahead of them, we've invested in the now as well as in the future of the club to bring some sustainability back to this potentially huge club.

We are facing a tough contest on day-1 of the season this Saturday against Barnsley, we go into the game not really knowing exactly what to expect from the game. We do however have no doubts in our minds that it'll be a tough game for our young lads- We have made a cracking start to the campaign in terms of pre-season. However now is the time when the hard work starts as we are looking to get back up to the Premier League."

The gaffer mentioned the fact the club has invested in a number of high quality young individuals and is yet to inform on exactly who they are. The players that Newcastle have been able to bring to the club really shows their intent this season. We know the players that have come in are ready to go ahead of tonight's fixture so let's take a look and get the gaffers thoughts on the players he's brought in so far to the club.

GK: GIANLUIGI DONNARUMMA(85)

Newcastle United completed the signing of the highly regarded 17-year-old Goalkeeper from Italian side AC Milan; many thought the Italian would opted for a bigger club with the likes of Chelsea and Everton interested in him. However once he spoke with the manager at Newcastle he made it clear he wanted to be a part of the bigger project taking place at St. James' Park and wants to help the Toon get back to the Premier League. At only 17 he has already accomplished so much in terms of the accolades he has managed to get himself. The Italian International was one of Justice's main targets and he spoke highly of him on his arrival, "Donnarumma is probably one of the most exciting goalkeepers of the past few years! We are delighted that he decided to join us here and he's very excited about helping to get the club back into the top tier! Also the fact he's still only 17 means he will have a long and illustrious career ahead of him with us here."

LB: KOSTAS STAFYLIDIS(84)

The Greek International has played in the Championship before during a loan spell with Fulham a few years back from his then club Bayer Leverkusen. Now the 22-year-old has had some time to mature and spend some time in the top flight in Germany; he's now opted to make the switch back to England and the Championship with Newcastle. The full-back is a a tough defender who'll be hard to beat in the strong back-line at Newcastle this season. "Kostas was one of our key targets for a reason! He's a strong and fast young full-back with experience in this division before, which puts him in great stead."

Stafylidis is back in the Championship with Newcastle after a strong couple of seasons in Germany!

CB: NICO ELVEDI(83)

The young Swiss defender/defensive midfielder arrived from Borussia Monchengladbach in Germany. The 19-year-old had been a revelation in the Bundesliga so it was only a matter of time before other clubs tried to snap him up. n Newcastle United were lucky enough to be able to bring him to the club. What a signing he could turn out to be should he live up to his full potential with the club. We were able to ask the gaffer his thoughts on Elvedi,  "Nico is one of the best young players around at the moment and we are delighted he has chosen to join us here, despite being in the Championship and is happy to work for the club and help us achieve our aims of rising up the league and back to the Premier League ."

Nico Elvedi completed his move to Newcastle United from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach aka 'A German Team' Earlier in the week.

CB: JANNIK VESTERGAARD(87)

The Denmark International defender decided to join his former team-mate Elvedi in switching Monchengladbach for Newcastle United. The 24-year-old has a wealth of experience in the Bundesliga as well as at International level; this will bode well for the defender in the Championship. The center-back is very strong and that will be a key attribute for the defender in a competitive and strong Championship. Justice had this to say, "Jannik is a very physical and well experienced defender at such a young age still and will be a great addition to our back-line as we want top try and close up shop in every game in order to gain promotion."

Rumors have it that Vestergaard could potentially be set to take the Captains armband ahead of the start of the season after impressing in pre-season with his leadership qualitites

CB/LB/RB: JEREMY TOLJAN(83)

Another player who had decided to swap the Bundesliga for the Championship is the versatile young German defender Toljan. He decided to swap high flying Hoffenheim for Newcastle United in order to improve his game and progress as a player and is excited to be a part of the bigger picture at the club. The boss spoke well of the defender, "Jeremy is a quality defender who has the ability to play anywhere a long the back-line and with a full schedule those types of players can be highly useful in this division! We want to be a successful as we can in all competitions so with having players like this in your club it'll only help."

CB: ISSA DIOP(80)

The young French defender arrives from Toulouse with a great reputation at such a young age! The 19-year-old will provide great cover and when called on will certainly be able to do a job, with some great defenders at the club it's hard to see how Newcastle United will concede but its a grueling and long season ahead so the better quality in depth the better the team will do. Justice spoke highly of the defender, "Issa is a great young talent and we are dlighted he decided to join us and he'll only progress in his time with us at the club."

CB: MAURICIO LEMOS(82)

Another solid defender to join the ranks at Newcastle United; this time from Liga BBVA  side Las Palmas. The Uruguayan comes with a glowing reputation and with the amount of quality defenders that have been brought to the club it's good to see due to the high volume of matches in short periods of time that Newcastle shall be having to play. Lemos is a great defender and Justice certainly agrees, " Mauricio is a very talented young defender with a lot to learn and will only get better as time goes on, we have so many quality defenders at the club which is only good for us as we wish to be successful!"

Lemos switches sunny Spain for the lovely weather of Newcastle!

CDM: MARIO LEMINA(86)

The Gabon International was highly regarded during his time with Juventus in Italy and now has decided to try his hand at playing in England. There were a number of clubs interested in the midfielder but he spoke with the manager at the club and decided it was the best fit for him. A bargain at just £4-million for the club and could make good on that with his performances at the club. He was impressive alongside Pogba at Juve and since went on to be a viable replacement at the club but has decided the bets move for his career was a switch to England. Justice was delighted with this capture, " Lemina was one of biggest targets when I first arrived here at Newcastle and with his performances at Juventus it's easy for everyone to see why we are excited by his arrival!"

Image result for mario lemina

Mario Lemina switched the black and white of Juventus for the black and white of Newcastle in a £4-million switch.

CM: KEVIN MALCUIT(82)

Kevin Malcuit has been in some form with French club Saint-Ettiene and now has decided like a number of players in the past to join Newcastle from the French Ligue 1, could this guy be the next to be successful or just another Marveux? Justice certainly believes he'll improve as a player at the club. "Kevin is a very talented player and at 25-years-old still has a lot to offer to us here at Newcastle, he'll only improve and get better game on game and he'll be a great team player in a long season ahead."

Malcuit switches France for Newcastle United like many before him! Justice is hopeful of his success after his £1.4-Milion bargain switch

CAM: TONNY VILHENA(87)

At only 21-years-old Tonny Vilhena has a wealth of experience during his time at dutch club Feyenoord. The Dutch international arrives with a glowing reputation and rightly so! The club made a big £7-million investment in the player and we are more than certain that he'll come good for the price tag and won't be a flop. Justice was delighted with this purchase, "Vilhena is a quality young player and for someone of such a young age has a wealth of experience and will be a rock in the heart of our midfield this season. He cost £7-million so of course people will target him every game and if he has a quiet one people will comment but for a oyung lad he has some broad shoulders and it'll only make him better!"

Vilhena swaps dutch club Feyenoord for Newcastle United in £7-million switch

LAM: SAMU CASTILLEJO(87)

The Spanish winger has been impressive in the up-rise of the yellow submarines of Villarreal in Spain and has been a very classy attacking midfielder who has great skill and will set the Championship alight this season and will cause all kind of problems for the defenders in this division. We spoke with Justice who had this to say about the midfielder "Samu is a very decent player and has been key in the rise from Villarreal in recent years and I'm certain he will continue that vein of form here in England and will just get better as time goes on. He can only get better here and we hope he continues his fine form from Spain here in England."

Samu Castillejo completed his move from La Liga side Villarreal in a deal that is still undisclosed but we are sure the player will be worth what Newcastle have invested in him.

LM: EMIL FORSBERG(85)

The Swedish attacking midfielder has been in the best form of his life at German side RB Leipzig after they gained promotion to the Bundesliga this season. Now he's looking to make it two promotions in two years after swapping Germany for England and has signed for Newcastle United and at a bargain price of just £2.8-million the 25-year-old will surely come good for such a cheap price. Justice rates the Swede very highly, "Forsberg is a quality player and will be an asset to our club and will be so good in England, I'm hopeful of his capabilities shining here in the Championship. He knows where the goal is and has a superb shot on him."

A shining star for one of the most hated clubs in Germany and has now swapped Germany for England and Newcastle United

CM: THOMAS LEMAR(86)

The highly regarded French midfielder who can play further back or further forward in the middle of the park will be a key player for Newcastle United this season as they look to get back to the Premier League after only one season out of it. The 20-year-old made his switch from AS Monaco and left the sun and high life behind for the lovely Newcastle. Justice had this to say, "I don't know why he'd want to give up the life on living in Monaco but we are delighted he has haha! We are thrilled he's decided to make Newcastle United his next club and we are sure he can become a big player at this club! He had offers from other clubs but decided we were his best fit and for that we are greatful."

Thomas Lemar swaps Monaco for the high life of Newcastle!!!

ST: JOHN GUIDETTI(86)

The Swedish striker joined the club from Celta Vigo and he has unfinished business in England after not being given a chance at Manchester City in his previous spell in England. At 25-years-old he has still got a lot to offer the club and will be a great addition to the attacking line at Newcastle, he has proven that he certainly knows where the goal is over his last few seasons in Spain with Celta and if he can replicate that kind of form in the Championship he'll be unstoppable. The gaffer had this to say on the Swedish striker "Guedetti has unfinished business here in England which will give him a bigger drive to succeed and he is foremost and most importantly a goalscorer which is what you look for in a striker "

John Guidetti joins Newcastle United from Celta Vigo with un-finished business in England and looks to prove his worth here in England after his £4-million switch.

ST: ANDREA BELOTTI(87)

With goals being vital for the club to get back to the big time, why not sign the leading scorer in Serie A? Well Newcastle United done just that, the 22-year-old Belotti left Torino for Newcastle United and with the hope he can produce the goals needed for the club to be a success under new gaffer Nick Justice. The Italian international shocked many when he chose Newcastle as his destination with the likes of Arsenal, Everton and Derby County interested in bringing him in! But the Italian decided his best fit was at Newcastle United and Justice is excited to work with him, "We were thrilled when Belotti decided to join us here at Newcastle United and help us get back to where we belong! His goal scoring record speaks for itself and we hope and pray he'll continue that here with us."

Justice is hopeful that he has found the striker to produce his goals in Italian International Andrea Belotti

ST: ENES UNAL(82)

The Turkish striker had a great record in Holland before he returned to his parent club Manchester City where he was deemed surplus to requirements and so Justice decided to match the £2.8-million that the club wanted for him and brought him to Newcastle. With the quality of forwards the club now has hopefully goals will be easier to come by! "  Ware  delighted that we managed to sign the Turkish International for £2.8-million. We feel this is a small investment to make in a player with a great future and we are sure he'll become a Toon hero in no time at all."

Image result for Unal fc twente

Enes Unal signs from Manchester City for £2.8-Million, the 20-year-old Striker could be a key star in a long season for Newcastle United.

Despite bringing in 16 players so far ahead of the start of the season, the club could still see more leave and more arrive at St. James' Park. So watch this space for more transfer news after tonight's game with Barnsley at home.
