Udinese Update

131.gif

A press conference was held in the last hour or so, covered by Sky Sports News, in which the Udinese board and management sector revealed a bit more about the goings on at the club, and information on the season ahead. An array of measures were on the agenda, with the event televised all over the world, all interested in the progress that Philp is making at Udinese. He has received a lot of support recently, especially from many in his home county of Fife in Scotland, backing him all the way.

Obodo may be out

The first matter discussed, was the future of the earlier-named Udinese captain Christian Obodo. The question was put to the boss, Philp: "Christian may be on the verge of moving to Roma as part of another deal that will look to bring Alberto Aquilani to the Friuli. A bid has been placed and we are waiting on a response from Alberto's representatives. This is nothing to do with Obodo's talent, it is just that Aquilani is admired by myself and I would love him here at Udinese".

276758_36402.jpg

(Aquilani is a target of Philp's)

More players will join

"A goalkeeper and midfielder will hopefully join tomorrow morning, and although we were outbid yesterday, we have the necessary cash to make sure of the completion of both deals. The offers do include players of this club in exchange, but I am only concerned with this club, so will do all it takes to bring those players here to me" said Philp in front of the global audience. He is hoping to tie up these deals to strengthen the midfield, and find a number one goalkeeper.

Guti to make the move?

Speculation has been rising around the matter of Jose Maria Guti joining the club, and although an official bid has been made, Philp is not convinced that the player will join Udinese. "The bid has been made on the off chance that Guti will join us here. He has had a great spell in Spain at Real, and is at that point in his career where he could really help this club with his experience of playing at the highest level. I hope to bring in more faces as well by Saturday's opening match".

guti-1.jpg

(Guti is possibly on his way from Real Madrid)

Pinzi is off

Just moments ago, Udinese accepted a bid for midfielder Giampiero Pinzi who was made available by the Italian club earlier today. A deal has reportedly been struck between fellow Italian side Fiorentina, a deal which should see Riccardo Montolivo join Udinese. Philp explained the matter: "Giampiero has been unimpressive with his attitude and manner the last few days and after Christian was named captain, he wanted out. I am not carrying bodies, so he can go. If the deal is completed, then Pinzi will get a move away from here, just what he wants".

415844_mediumsquare.jpg

(Montolivo will move to the Friuli)

A final thought

Philp, before leaving the conference said: "You look out for Udinese this season!", that clearly a warning to the rest of Serie A, and possibly on a wider scale, the world.

Re: Gold Championship 10 Match Report Thread

The French Revoloution !

Olympique-Lyon.png

Manager Adam Johnson has been busy in the transfer market since taking over the French Giants Lyon this Monday. Big named stars have come in and out and the trend is expected to continue.

The Exodus !

So far the only two players to actually leave Lyon under the new management regime is the Brazilian duo Fred, and Juninho.

Fred the Brazilian striker had become un-happy at life in France and handed in a transfer request. Johnson accepted it and a bid from Palmero in the region of 7 million pounds + two strikers was believed to be accepted.

Juninho was the other Brazilian to leave, However this was for different reasons. Johnson felt that Juninho had become to big for his boots and had way to much of a say in the running of a club, because after he is just a player. Interested soon gathered and he was sent packing to La Liga, to Spanish team Athletico Madrid managed by Leigh Auston. Around 8 million and two players came to Lyon.

Grosso, who only recently joined Lyon is also going to be moving, He will be moving to Merry Old England to play for Arsenal. The bid is believed to be around 8.5 million, Usually Johnson would not sell a player of his calibre for so little, however a deal was struck between the Gooner manager and Johnson to sell Grosso for cheap if Adebayor and Sagna were allowed to Join Lyon.

Lyon have also had a counter bid for Keita accepted, The bid was from Schalke, The new accepted bid is of Jermane Jones(87) & Raktitic (88) + 2 million for the talented winger.

img.53559_t.jpg

Players in !

When Fred was sold Lyon also got two players in Part exchange they were: 20 year old striker Cavani(87), and the more experienced Amauri(89). Johnson was short stacked in the forward department but can now boast a solid department. Neither player will feature in the first team but will be vital in Johnsons rotation system that he uses to compete in all compeitions.

Juninho left to spain with two players coming to France on top of the cash. First was experienced CM Maniche(91), the portuguese international isnt set to play a starring role for Lyon but is expected to be important for the current French Champions. The young center back Jose Castro also joined Lyon in part of the deal, Johnson is keen on lowering the age of his squad yet retaining quality and Castro fits the bill perfectly. he is expected to play the majority of Cup competitions.

juninho.jpg

Got to big for his boots

As part of the Grosso deal, Adebayor has joined Lyon for a fair fee of 15 million pounds. The togo striker will start for Lyon along side French starlet Benzema. Johnson believes the ability of these two will lead to Lyons success. Sagna is also expected to join a fee of 13 million pounds is the fee that both clubs are believed to off decided on.

img_623.jpg

Ex Gooner players celebrating with Fabregas.

Finally Lyons first signing was spanish all round defender Arbeloa. The versatile defender arrived from Liverpool for 12.5 million pounds, a deal which Johnson see's as a snip !

Things keep happening

131.gif

In the last few moments, Udinese have completed the loan signing of Argentinian starlet Fernando Gago from Spanish giants Real Madrid. Philp had enquired about a sale, but the loan option was accepted: "I am a huge admirer of Fernando, and we have the option to buy at the end of the season, dependant on the wheelings and dealings of the Real boss. He will only feature in the league, but we may sneak him into the SMFA Shield side, just for a bit of experience. Don't tell Real".

gago.jpg

And it is rumoured that the side from the Friuli are well on the way to signing Sidney Govou from France. Several deals have been considered, and a decision will be made later tonight between the two clubs. "I approached Lyon", said Philp, "and their manager Adam was top notch about it all and very considerate and able to negotiate the offers. I placed a very handsome deal on the table and he has said that he will get back to me. The fans have a right to be excited!"

Baldo pleased with signing just 3.

This morning Parma completed the signing of 3 new players which has cost 9.1m.

250px-Danny_Buijs_008.jpg

Early yesterday morning, Pisanu (86) had discussed with the manager that a move away from Parma would benefit his career and not long after the winger had agreed a move to Feyenood which meant Danny Buijs (87) would then sign for Parma.

e_silvinho_vtop.jpg

The young Dutchman was joined by 33 year old, Mendes Silvinho. He had been transfer listed and Barcelona then decided to sell him a little cheaper than their original asking price. Despite his age, Tony did confirm that the Brazilian should play a big part this season.

pazzini205x345.jpg

Finally, Giampaolo Pazzini has shocked most with a switch from Fiorentina to Parma. Costing just 4.1m is quite a bargain but including youngstar Paponi(80) may have been difficult for Tony. "Pazzini is a great talent, everyone knows that in Italy. Parma aren't the biggest club but I think we are a team improving, his partnership with Igor Budan could be pretty effective as well."

Available for loan -

Vitali Kutuzov - 85/CF

Newcastle United Update !

newcastle-united-badge.jpg

So far at Newcastle this season we have tried to ship out the under-performing, over-paid players and bring in young exciting players. But manager Tom Eesha know's that you have to have the correct mix of young and old for the team to peform.

So leaving the clun so far this season is :

David Rozehnal - £10.7m to Udinese

Peter Ramage - P/E to Atlas

Olivier Bernard - P/E to Racing Club

Celestine Babayaro - P/E to Racing Club

But joining the club so far this season is :

Fransisco Merida - 125k from Arsenal - Manager Eesha see's this as one of the best deals of the season as he has bought one of Arsenals best young players for under 200k!

Jack Hobbs - 80k from Liverpool - Another great coup as Hobbs is sure to go up soon.

Stevan Jovetic - 11.3m from Partizan Beograd - What a deal! The promising young foward joines Newcastle after turning down 3 other clubs. He has been loaned out to Hull City for the season so he can get games and match practice.

Tom Craddock - 150k from Free Agent - Good deal as we got him fairly cheap and he is another potential riser.

Demikrol Ugur - 175k from Ankaraspor - This boy can play anywhere along the defence so a good player to have at the club.

Danny Swanson - 40k from Berwick Rangers - A player Eesha knows a lot about as he plays for his local side Berwick but is joing Dundee in January. Rated at only 64 if he gets the games he is promised at Dundee his rating will go sky high!

Jorge Torres - 2m and Peter Ramage from Atlas - Great signing for the team as he is 19 rated 85 but he can play anywhere in the midfield. Will be used a lot this season.

Matias Martinez - 1m and Celestine Babayaro and Olivier Bernard - He plays CM or DM and we got him for a fantastic deal.

Martin Diaz - 1.6m from Deportes Melipilla - Young 17 year old who could rise a lot. A youth player primarily and wont be used much.

More big news for Exeter City, as they complete the loan signing of Jose Jurado from Leigh's Atletico Madrid.

Jurado will be recalled by Atletico to be played in cup matches, but will feature as much as possible for City in a move that strengthens the midfield greatly.

Kevin Jacmot looks set to complete a move to Exeter tomorrow for £10k, and he will be the player to replace Jurado when he's back in Madrid.

George also hopes to tie up a deal for Leicester City youngster Joe Mattock in time for the new season.

The first league match of the season will see the Grecians take on Dagenham & Redbridge at St James Park. So far Dagenham have only added one player to their squad, that being keeper Matt Gilks. But before that (tomorrow) they will travel to Scotland to face Nathan's Celtic.

Really think you should have to give a reason for reporting transfers, especially in GC's

Taking a look at the accepted transfers, £4m + Ivan Rakitic for Kader Keita has been reported, £13.9m for Lucas Neill. Nothing much wrong with them imo

Scrolling down, Dynamo Kyiv selling Ipswich Badr El Kaddouri for £1m when he's worth £5.1m and chairman's value is £4.6m  Not reported

This just me or does anyone else agree that you should give a reason for reporting? :o

Auston Arrives at Vicente Calderon!

Atletico Madrid have this week formally introduced the appointment of Top 100 Manager Leigh Auston to guide their team to success in a difficult Spanish Division in Gold Championship 10. Auston was handed a budget of £30 million to work with and told by the board that they had their full trust to do what he wanted to do with the team. Auston has a reputation within the world of Soccermanager of taking over teams and making lots of changes early on in his time at the club. He is also not afriad to sell star players or upset players he feels are wasted at his club.

In an interview with SM Sports Auston revealed that he was fairly happy with the squad he had to start with and is delighted to be appointed boss of Atletico. He feels the team has underachieved in recent times but now has the players and fire power to be able to compete for honours. He also revealed it would be very tough with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla in the same division but he remained quietly optimistic.

Auston has been busy is the transfer market in his first few days in charge with no less than 6 players arriving at Vicente Calderon and 5 players leaving the club. He also confirmed that 4 more players would be coming in tomorrow morning if they pass their medicals with 4 more players leaving. Auston was quick to say that unless there was any offers that were too good to refuse then that should be it for the time being.

The following players are confirmed as arriving at the club:-

Ricardo Carvalho - 0k from Chelsea

Gilberto - 0k from Hertha Berlin

Soriano Bruno - 750k from Villarreal

Juninho - 7.8 million from Lyon

Pasquale Foggia - 5 million from Cagliari

Mirko Vucinic - 9.5 million from Roma

These players have unfortunately left the club for pastures new:-

Daniel Victor Bravo - 250k to Shrewsbury

Jose Reyes - 7 million to Hertha Berlin

Sabrosa Simao - 0k to Chelsea

Nuno Maniche - 0k to Lyon

Eduardo Jose Castro - 0k to Lyon

Mariano Pernia - 0k to Cagliari

Auston also loaned out Jurado to his friend George at Exeter and Leo Franco to another friend Phil at Chievo. He has told both managers that these loans are temporary as both players will feature for Atletico this season.

The Daily La'Derriere

Olympique-Lyon.png

Ze French Revoloution . . continued !

The last Lyon update saw SMFA Sports report that Adebayor, Sagna And Arbeloa were the three players bought buy Johnson, with Castro, Maniche, Amauri and Cavani coming as part exchange for Juninho and Fred, with Grosso leaving France. Since then Lyon have been busy in the market and are possibly lining up a few more players to strengthen the overall standard of the team.

Ze Transfers in/out and Ze targets !

The deal for Keita of 2 million + Jones + Raktitic was cancelled by the Schalke 04 chairman. With Johnson and the Schalke manager not wanting to loose out on their targets they decided to split the deal up.

Firstly a bid of 6 million was accepted Jones. The young german central midfielder has a bright future ahead of him in Johnson's eyes, He is set to take part in the domestic cup competitions to gain vital first team experience. Raktitic also joined as part exchange.

597671_mediumsquare.jpg800517296-soccer-uefa-champions-league-group-b-chelsea-v-schalke-04.jpg

The young stars finally complete their move to Lyon !

Johnson has also set about getting another striker,He is looking into the possibility of signing Werder Bremen Striker Boubacar Sanogo. The Ivorian striker has impressed world football recently and Johnson wants to take him to France. Johnson knows that Werder are interested in Muller (88 CB) and he plans to use him, and Milan Baros as bate for the African Hitman.

sanogo180.jpg

Johnson would also like to put to bed all rumours linking Govou with a move away from Lyon, he released this statement on the clubs website. "It was never in concrete, we did not even officially receive a bid of Udinese for the services of Sidney. Sidney is a happy man here at Lyon, he is a indispensable member of the team and i plan to utilise his abilities in all competitions. He will definitely not be leaving Lyon this season." Udinese manager Ross will be disappointed but its collateral damage Johnson is clearly willing to dish out.

Govou.jpg

the Frenchman is happy and staying at Lyon

Last night another transfer was completed, It was between Lyon and English giants Chelsea. Chelsea had publicly declared an interest in Bodmer, Johnson wasnt to keen to sell but Chelsea persisted and Johnson did cave in. Only because the player coming to Lyon will be a world beater one day in his opinion. Bodmer left Lyon for 5 million pounds and Jon Obi Mikel. The Nigerian CM is expected to be an important first team member. Johnson thinks that in the near future he will improve significantly. ( 90/91 imo :P )

John%20Obi%20Mikel.jpg

The talented youngster has heavy expectations on his shoulder.

Seven players have left Lyon since Johnson took charge, 6 being sold and one being released. Lyon have received 23 million pounds in transfer fee's and have received 6 players in part exchange. Johnson has spent a whopping 45.5 million on players this season, adding them to the players received in other deals, no less than 10 players have joined Lyon. Johnson is rumored to have around 15 million pounds left, it is rumored that he is interested in bringing Vidic to Lyon. A task that will no doubt prove hard to achieve.

could he be joining ???

Bordeaux For The League?

This is the rumour going around France the now as many manager's are spending all thier money on new players Spence is sticking with his sqaud and this faith looks like it will pay of as many top class players are speaking out saying they are wanting to win the league so bad for Spence and his coaching staff. Spence is a really picky manager and 6 million for a Center Back who is some what unproven at the highest level shows thier must be something in this starlet Fazio as Spence keeps talking about him like he is his own child. The other signing from rivals Toulouse was Nicolas DIEUZE who has been really solid the last few seasons won his move to Berdeaux. An Unamed player will be joining tomoro and will cost 8 million and he is rated 88. He is at an unmanaged club and no one seems to be interested in the French International. Mr Albertz the Assistant to Spence has spoke out saying that thr B-Boys are the best he has worked with in his career and hopes thier hard-work

New Signing

After many attempts to bring in a new center back at Benfica, a deal was finally reached with Feyenoord as a straight swap with Benfica midfielder Costas Katsouranis going to Feyenoord and in return Kevin Hofland arrived at Benfica.

There were many attempts in bringing in a new center back with deals for Marco Materazzi and Cleber Anderson accepted by their respective clubs but only for my muppet of a chairman to reject because he didn't want Costas Katsouranis to leave in those deals but my chairman saw fit to allow Katsouranis to join Feyenoord in the deal which saw Kevin Hofland sign for Benfica.

There has been a further two players that have left Benfica with Gilles Binya joining Mexican side America and Pedro Mantorras joining Ukrainian side Dnipro.

There has been only one other deal at Benfica which saw youngster Sherman Cardenas join Benfica from Atletico Bucaramanga, the Benfica manager hopes that Cardenas will develop into a good player but will have to be patient for the player to mature.
