Parma look to reshuffle.

Within the last 5 minutes, Tony Baldo released a statement confirming that an offer for Damiano Zenoni from Dinamo Zagreb of 8m had been accepted whilst Vitali Kutuzov was heading to struggling Siena, for around 3.5m.

"When trying to raise a bit of cash you may need to get rid of a few players. They both personally told me they wished to leave and it's understandable. They'll both be guaranteed first team football which they weren't with us."

Montervino%20(frosinone).jpg

With 2 players rumoured to be joining tomorrow, it's almost certain that Montervino is 1 of them. Francesco almost immediately lost his captaincy and starting place when Napoli appointed their new manager, leaving no explanation. Without a game to his name this season, Parma expressed their interest and it's believed that a deal was agreed quite quickly.

jockitems__145_1161186283.JPG

Finally, Domenico Morfeo was absent from training today and it's thought that the ex Inter midfielder is being used to bring a different player to Parma, we'll just have to wait and see though.

English Division 4 - Turn 2

Bournemouth 1 - 1 Kidderminster Harriers

2 strong sides battled it out at Dean Court, but with both looking for their first points of the season.

Both sides had chances early on, but it was Leamington Steve's away side who took the lead in the 20th minute, Guilherme Siqueira taking advantage of a mix up in the midfield to open the scoring.

With just under 10 minutes to go, Kidderminster's hopes of sealing their first win of the season faded away, with Gareth O'Connor lobbing the keeper to secure a point for Bournemouth.

MoM = Gareth O'Connor

Leyton Orient 0 - 1 Exeter City

Both sides had lost their opening game, and both sides were looking for a win in this encounter.

Exeter's strong attack once again proved that they are able to create plenty of shots, 13 of them with 12 on target.

But as in the first game, goals proved difficult for them, however a great goal from 25 yards out by Bjarni Vidardsson was the only goal of the game.

Vidardsson was sent off in the 2nd half though, receiving a second yellow for spitting.

MoM = Alexandre Pato

Peterborough United 1 - 2 Shrewsbury Town

After the huge opening day win for Ant's Peterborough, they will of been disappointed with this defeat, but credit must go to the Shrewsbury side who made use of their possession.

David Hunt picked up the opening goal in the 23rd minute, picking up the short corner and curling it around the keeper to give Town the lead.

They weren't in the lead for long though as Peterborough's Ivan Del Prato equalised almost straight away, sliding the ball into the empty net after his dummy beat the keeper.

Shrewsbury came out in the 2nd half to take the lead instantly, with Hunt once again giving them the lead this time through a powerful header.

MoM = Ivan Del Prato

Crewe Alexandra 4 - 1 Brentford

A good win for Crewe as they make the most of Brentford being unmanaged. An early double for Goncalves Manucho had Crewe on their way, and with 5 minutes to go until half time Eugen Bopp made it 3 - 0.

But Brentford still managed to pull one back before the break, Andy Myers the scorer.

Crewe were kept busy in the 2nd half as Brentford pushed forward but Nicky Maynard sealed the win with just minutes remaining, as he smashed it into the roof of the net.

MoM = Goncalves Manucho

Cheltenham Town 0 - 1 Huddersfield Town

A close game at Whaddon Road but it was the away side Huddersfield who came out on top thanks to a 22nd minute Lewis Hunt goal.

With both sides playing a basic 4-4-2 it was always going to be close, and it was.

MoM = Lewis Hunt

Dagenham & Redbridge 1 - 2 The New Saints

Dagenham hoped to make it 2 wins out of 2 after the opening day win over Exeter City, but were left disappointed as a strong TNS side came and dominated the game.

Michael Mols gave the away side the lead in the 23rd minute and they kept that until half time.

Shanu Huke equalised for Dagenham in the 51st minute but they weren't back lever for long as Masashi Nakayama grabbed the win for TNS.

MoM = Michael Mols

Morecambe 3 - 2 MK Dons

A great advert for division 4 football here as Morecambe twice came from behind to beat the Dons in an eventful game.

Jemal Johnson gave MK the lead within 5 minutes, but soon after that Rachid Hamdani pulled Morecambe level.

Lee Martin put the away side back in front in the 26th minute, and this time they kept the lead for a little longer, Craig Brewster though equalising for Morecambe in the 50th minute.

When the last goal of the game went in in the 86th minute, you half expected it to be from MK but Adam Yates was the scorer, and Morecambe took the 3 points.

MoM = Craig Brewster

Brighton & Hove Albion 5 - 0 Chesterfield

Tactics still not done by Chesterfield, who's manager happens to be a SM Dev :o

Joel Lynch, Nick Forster x2, Jake Robinson and Dean Hammond got the goals.

MoM = Nicky Forster

Northampton Town 2 - 1 Bradford City

Unmanaged comes out on top here as Bradford slump to an away defeat in a game which they should of won.

Tomasz Frankowski and Ian Henderson had Northampton 2 up before Eddie Johnson pulled one back for Bradford, but to little to late for them.

MoM = Tomasz Frankowski

Gillingham 2 - 0 Rotherham United

Comfortable win for Matt's side as Davie Graham and Leonidas Kabantais got the goals against the unmanaged side.

MoM = Leonidas Kabantais

Wisla.gif

The Wisla 'Krak'

New man at the Stadion Wisly, Neil Lafferty, today gave his opinion of his sides opening 2 fixtures within the Eastern European League.

First Match Blues?

Speaking at the clubs training ground he reavealed that he has been extremely happy with things so far despite a 3-2 opening day defeat away to Dnipro. 'We are under no illusions as to the size of the task here. It's not the biggest squad and we are competing in a really tough league. The first game was no disaster, to go to Dnipro and score 2 goals is no mean feat, and we took the lead in that game'.

3 Points!

Wisla followed this result with a 2-1 home win over Lokomotiv Moscow. 'It's always nice to get your first win early in the season, especially when you are a new manager. Loko again are a good side who will be looking to be there or thereabouts come the end of the season but the attitude of my guys after going a goal down early on was superb. We thoroughly deserved the win'

Defenders Needed

With the bulk of the transfer kitty gone on no less than 11 new players, Lafferty revealed that defence seems to be a problem. 'If any fellow managers are willing to loan me some full back, Left or Right, 86+ rated then please get in touch with me'

Looking Ahead

Spartak Nalchik provide the opposition at what sould be a packed Wisly tonight. The new look team are ready and raring to go

Fenerbahce got a valuable win which will see them climb to the dizzy heights of 3rd in the table. It was a fully deserved win for Fenerbahce as they had the best of the possession and a lot more shots on goal. Goals came from Souza Alex on 27 minutes followed by a powerful shot by on loan Joseba ETXEBERRIA and a final goal from Fenerbahches top goalscorer Mateja Kezman. Man of the match went to Hernan Crespo on his debut for Fenerbahce. TOM HAILS GILARDINHO AFTER 4-3 WIN IN SAMPDORIA

An Alberto Gilardinho hat - trick helped AC Milan turn over Sampdoria narrowly 4-3 last night, and Tom was quick to praise his Italian man. "I have great feelings for him, I always did," " He's prolififc, we need him prolific all the time which he will be for sure,"

Tom also admits himself out of the race to sign brazilian youngster Vanger Love from CSKA Moskva saying he would be "waste of money and time,"

" I dont know much about the player, but we've tried to sign him once as we were short on strikers, but now I firmly believe we have enough in goals without Vagner,"

Milan sit 5th in the Serie A on Goal Difference with 7 points out of a possible 9.

Next for Milan its back to the San Siro as they welcome 4th placed Liverono.

Benfica continued their impressive start to the season with their fourth win out of four and it came in emphatic fashion with a 6-2 result away to AEK Athens, AEK Athens got off to a good start though as Sergio Conceicao put them ahead on the 9th minute but then the game swung in Benfica's favour as Nuno Gomes put Benfica 2-1 ahead with goals on the 19th and 29th minute but AEK Athens came back only two minutes later as Ricardo Fernandes equalised on the 31st minute to make it 2-2, there was only one other goal in the first half and it came courtesy of Kevin Hofland to put Benfica 3-2 up going into the break.

The second half was pretty much one sided as Armando Petit got in on the scoring on the 52nd minute with his first goal of the game and Nuno Gomes got a well deserved hat trick as he bundled the ball over the line on the 69th minute to ensure he was taking home the match ball, Armando Petit finished off the rout as with only three minutes to go he scored what was a poachers goal to get his second of the game and to make the final score 6-2 to Benfica.
