I prefer Kabasele, who's even younger, but I think Bobby likes Boyata's attributes better (and his team plays dominant football). Denayer had a few discipline issues but that seems to have been ironed out now; plus he looks great on the ball. Engels and Foket not doing badly either in Ligue 1. I've been calling to give Vanheusden a look in for a long time. Yes I know I've been banging on about him and, to a lesser extent, Denayer, a few of my posts to serve as an example: https://forum.soccermanager.com/topic/161185-belgian-football-season-18-19-8-other-countries-for-example-the-netherlands/?tab=comments#comment-3183981 https://forum.soccermanager.com/topic/161185-belgian-football-season-18-19-8-other-countries-for-example-the-netherlands/?page=29&tab=comments#comment-3205791 https://forum.soccermanager.com/topic/161185-belgian-football-season-18-19-8-other-countries-for-example-the-netherlands/?page=8&tab=comments#comment-3185351 https://forum.soccermanager.com/topic/161185-belgian-football-season-18-19-8-other-countries-for-example-the-netherlands/?page=10&tab=comments#comment-3186721 @thorgan lesar do you have Vanheusden down as the top prospect for Belgium's backline (based on his games for Standard)? Who, born around the same year(s), will give him the most competition? Merry X-mas everybody Yeah Vanheusden is a top prospect on this moment. Vanheusden is the only central defender who is developping well, but there is also Sebastiaan Bornauw who has potential. In Anderlecht it's not good at all on this moment and Bornauw isn't secure enough on this moment. Faes isn't an option. I see a great future for Killian Sardella, Siemen Voet and Loïc Masscho but they aren't yet in the first team. A bit too young for the moment shangar and 1000dB

1000dB 410
Despite Belgium's best result at the World Cup hardly any ratings were bumped up. T.Hazard didn't play much in Russia (earned a +1 for his BuLi performances) unlike e.g. Carrasco (his rating going down seems fair though). Courtois was great in Russia, especially against Brazil in the quarters, and virtually won every award he was eligible for this year. You'd expect a +1 if the World Cup has an impact. Courtois has been on 93 for four years now while silverware has been flowing in. When he got his last +1 he was still at Atleti (back when they were much poorer), having been crowned Champions of Spain, winning the Spanish Cup, Europa League winners, UEFA Super Cup winners and CL finalists (+ a massive haul of individual honours: GK of the year, Zamora trophies, TOTY, CL TOTY, etc. plus setting la Liga records). In subsequent reviews Courtois kept contributing to his club's trophy cabinet and being showered with individual awards yet he hasn't received a +1. Some, not even all, honours that he contributed to since his last +1: - Premier League Champions in 2015 - League Cup in 2015 - European Championship quarterfinalists in 2016 - Premier League Champions in 2017 - Premier League Golden Glove in 2017 - FA Cup in 2018 - Bronze at the 2018 World Cup - FIFA World Cup Golden Glove 2018 (and Dream Team) - The Best FIFA Goalkeeper 2018 - IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper 2018 (and World Team) - Club World Champions in 2018 By accumulation, since the Atleti days, his rating should definitely have increased by now. Considering how trophy-laden 2018 was it's very hard to argue his rating should have remained unchanged during this review. thorgan lesar 3,051
First 11 in Belgium in 2018 Now we're talking about our goalkeepers in the Belgian competition. It's already late, but on this day later on the left defenders in Belgium. Wednesday the "First 11" will be finished. Goalkeepers Guilermo Ochoa, Sinan Bolat, Danny Vukovic, Thomas Kaminski, Thomas Didillon and Paul Nardi are all by the best goalkeepers with their qualities. I'm chosing Guillermo Ochoa as nr.1. The 33 years old Mexican has 8 games (of the 21) without counter goals. He leads his deffence and did his job in the Europa League group with Standard De Liège. The others: 1. Guillermo Ochoa 2. Sinan Bolat 2. Danny Vukovic 4. Thomas Didillon 5. Thomas Kaminski 6. Paul Nardi TMCosta and 1000dB
thorgan lesar 3,051
First 11 in Belgium in 2018 Left defenders Tough deciscion. The Fin Jere Uronen of KRC Genk and the Norwegian Simen Juklerød of Antwerp FC seem to be in the balance with each other. I eventually choose Jere Uronen because he performs more consistently. Casper De Norre of STVV - who is actually a right back - has been on the leftside for the whole season and is doing well too. Asare of KAA Gent becomes 4th. 1. Jere Uronen 2. Simen Juklerød 3.
