Nice effort with the minor leagues, the problem is the valuations formula is so poor for these leagues i dont think you will see much profit. I have been collecting many risers from the minor leagues over the past year or so the profts from sales are so minor, its hardly worth the effort if they are over 21 years old unfortunately.

I remember all your work, and those huge discussions through all the treads! I'm here since 2012! Thank you for all that JMH!
And yes, this has been quite dead. But I'm happy to see that people are back! Now, for the end of this year, I think is not worth it, but I'll share my ratings starting next year!

Cheers to all of you!

Yes, I have to say that it's reviews like today that make me realise just what a joke the SM admin are.

Rises to 82 for a team in the relegation zone of France's Ligue 2???

At the same time they gave Madatov, who helped Qarabag into the Champions League group stage, a +1 to 79.

Those 'generous' rises for Prevot & Duvrene were overdue from last season, not just about statistics, they are genuine talents, hardly a joke, just taking into account the time from when these players were last reviewed....

Lens just missed promotion on the last day of the season if you recall, the top 6 clubs all had a shot at automatic promotion. Lens were robbed by a 90th min goal in the Reims v Amiens game

It's not just about those players. Many other players in Ligue 2 have risen to 82 and my complaint is always about inconsistency.

When they reviewed the English Championship last season (after a full year without a review if memory serves), plenty of first-teamers weren't given reviews that high. And obviously there is no contest between the quality of those two divisions.

And with all due respect to Ligue 2, I just don't see that teams who failed to get promotion should get anything like the kind of reviews that teams in the Champions League or Europa League get. Those teams actually achieved something after all.

Many of the question marks are due to the close proximity of the teams in the league and due to the wildly unpredictable nature of SM's rating system of course.

Which players? I see Paul Bernardoni (in France u21s) , Danjiel Petkovic (Montenegro international GK) & Zindene Ferhat (back in Algeria squad and already well known as one of the most creative players in the league), who, all IMO are justified for obvious reasons?

& Prevot & Duverne as already covered

I must be missing something your seeing.  Most Championship squads have a higher average rating that all the Ligue 2 squads anyhow. All the promoted Ligue 2 sides have starters rated 78-83. Championship 82-85. The gulf is already there? Unless you know the specific players in the Championship who were overlooked? Even so, if Ligue 2 is being reviewed, then the Championship will follow suit which would nullify the complaint about inconsistency?

There were several other players early in the review. Anyway, I made my point at the time and I stand by it. On the same day that Madatov got a +1 to 79 for helping his team to reach the group stage of the Champions League, a bunch of players got much bigger rises (and have since) for mediocre French teams. It struck me as preposterous then and it strikes me as preposterous now, but I am over it.

I hope that the Championship will also be included in the review this year. Last winter it wasn't.

I would be surprised if Alli got a +1, he's looked incredibly pedestrian this season for Tottenham, (been better their last 2 matches when playing deeper and ironically scored) also hasn't played a single game in the Champions league yet due to his suspension from last season. For me Eriksen is far more likely to get a +1, been outstanding for both Tottenham and Denmark, scored in his last 5 WCQ - Albeit some have been penalty's, really in the form of his life. All that said i still think it's unlikely he would rise mid season (though not impossible).

So for me Eriksen and Kane are 50/50 to rise mid season but certain to rise at the end of the season if they keep playing the way they are. Alli needs to step it up if he is to rise, though there's plenty of matches to do it in and he's more than capable of doing it too. All depends on how generous SM are feeling.

P.S Thanks for the predictions :)

The only other 2 were Oliver Kemen & Arnaud Nordin, both on loan from Ligue 1 clubs, both youth internationals.

Id say overlooking a 20 year old Azeri isnt inconsistent, but i see the point, Gara Garayez got to 82 but he is a stalwart international. Qarabag, and Maribor will have to be looked at again after they are dumped from the competition having been rolled over. Madatov +1 to 80.

That's cool. We can agree to disagree.

And the reviews of both Serbia and Ligue 2 do prove at the very least that it is still very worthwhile shopping for bargains in the lesser leagues. Lots of players tripling or quadrupling in value.

D/DM/M/AM(R) - Kristiyan Malinov (23) - 77 (80)

MC - Vasil Panayotov (27) - 76 (80)

FC - Fernando Karanga (26) - 80 (82)

I think Chorbadzhiyski has been mentioned elsewhere on the board, but Malinov and Nedyalkov are also decent bets and full internationals.

Hassani is getting some game time and is a full Algerian international so should be due a solid rise.

Only a +1 rise for Hassani?? Really disappointed :(

This is not the full Bulgaria review. Giving Hassani (and Chorbadzhiyski) a +1 now is utterly pointless and rather stupid of SM, but they should both be due much bigger rises when the full Bulgaria review is conducted.

Thank you @Monolithic for clearing that up. Utterly confused as to why he was given a +1 now.
