Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Torley v Toggs v Sam v Daniel v Austin

Schunthrope United 0-5 Bristol City

Yet another enpathic win for Toggs, as changing only the target man, gifted the target man, Rivaldo with 4 goals. He got all 3 of his hat-trick before the break. After that, Larsson scored and Rivaldo finished it off.

Win keeps Toggs second, behind Coventry who are both running off towards promotion, 10 points away are 3rd.

And 3rd are W.B.A, Toggs next game is them, expect a close game.

Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Torley v Toggs v Sam v Daniel

So far so good, Division 2 is a bit dull as nobody else managing there so am looking forward to promotion which seems odds on:

1 BRISTOL CITY 23 19 2 2 88 28 60 59

2 West Bromwich Albion 23 16 1 6 77 27 50 49

3 Colchester United 23 15 2 6 60 21 39 47

Despite the transfer bans lifting on all the players I signed initially, have yet to really sweep the changes again.

Jermaine Jones, Jan Vertonghen, and Christian Lell are the only recent acquisitions.

Haven't posted for a while, and I was at the top of the league at one point but am now third, two points off leaders Ipswich. There is no doubt that I will achieve promotion and with the transfer bans off and a good few risers now free to leave, they have done so, four new players.

Starting from where I left off, Roman Bednar struck the only goal of the game away at the Hawthorns the loanee scoring against his club. Two draws followed against Southampton(0:0) and Shorpe(1:1). Charlton next up at Ashton Gate and goals from Llorente and Capel(2) sealed a fine 3:0 win. Away at Coventry followed, where Llorente(2), Bednar, Bayal Sall, Harek and Capel all scored in a 6:1 win. Garcia, Jimenez and Capel scored as City won 3:0 at Stoke next. Sheffield Wednesday travelled to the Gate and two goals from Llorente sealed the three points for Bristol City!

To the cups, and after already putting out Cheltenham, West Ham and Chelsea, Bristol City hosted Blackburn in the fourth round of the Shield. Bednar's goal saw City progress as Handanovic kept out Raul, Bentley, Cruz, De Rossi etc etc etc. The reward, a tie against Newcastle at St James' Park where City upset the odds to reach the semi final with a 2:0 win. Llorente and McIndoe scored the goals.

So right in the nick of things are Bristol City, as they sit proud in the league and have a semi final tie against either Arsenal, Middlesbrough or Bolton to come, with a look at the final. New signings Marcellis, Hamsik, Lell, Schilder and Vela should help the teams chances of making a major final and playing at Wembley!

That's one heck of a cup run you have going there :D I got dumped out pretty early, didn't even think it was realistic so fielded the reserves. I assume you will be fielding a full strength side in the final!

Austin' date=' is your Bristol team still free?

If so, what set-up are they in?[/quote']

You should PM him, as I doubt he is reading this thread having quit. Might also say which setup it was if you go back to the start of the thread mate, can't remember if he said then.

I'm not sure. Got this far using mainly reserves. Even Capel is second choice behind Vela and Walcott on the wings :D

Lost my last game against Shorpe United 1-0. Tonight i face Plymouth Argyle at home, although i am still missing my two key CM's through injury which are rated 88 and 87 and when you have a small squad they are 2 big injuries.

I am still in second place though, 4 points behind the leaders Sheffield United and 8 points ahead of fourth spot. I have been drawn against Manchester United in the QF of the cup, i will be playing my reserves as i am not really expecting anything out of the game.

By the way Mark, that is one great cup run. ;)

Cracking cup run there Mark. Nice to see the thread finally getting posted on a bit more regualrly like it once was :)

23 games played. One point off top and after a 6-1 and 5-0 win, go into a match against a good W.B.A side.

Calvin Jong-A-Pin has increased to 85. No fitness worries but may give both Vasko and Ugur a run.

Recently signed Freddy Sears form the Free Agent list. Except from that no much, expect from i look to go top tonight :) .

Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Torley v Toggs v Sam v Daniel

Just crashed out of the cup. It was the quarter final and i was playing Manchester United who are second in division 1. I was expecting a loss but my side put up a good fight and only lost 2-1. And when you consider United played there first team and i played my second that is a very good scoreline.

Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Torley v Toggs v Sam v Daniel

Well.. what can I say?

English Shield Semi Final

BRISTOL CITY 1:0 ARSENAL

BAYAL SALL(13')

Unlucky 13 Arsenal.. eh?

Final against Bolton who are slightly less intriguing than Chelsea, West Ham, Newcastle, Blackburn and now Arsenal. Great result.. the old 4-4-1-1.

Have now shut out: Di Natale and Totti; Martins and Marica; Raul and Cruz; Lucarelli and Trezeguet; Henry and Drogba and Kaka;

How is everyone else doing?

Looks like 1-0 to Ross over the rest :).
