BRISTOL 4-1 SOUTHAMPTON

Bristol City 0-1 Emile Heskey (3')

Marco Boriello (4') 1-1 Southampton

Carlos Vela (22') 2-1 Southampton

Perez Bojan Krkic (68') 3-1 Southampton

Perez Bojan Krkic (83') 4-1 Southampton

Bristol City travel back home to face Southampton with famous names like Emile Heskey, Danny Koevermans spearheading the Saint's attack Antonis Nikopolidis and Max Tonetto in defense and Santiago Solari, Luis Figo and Jose Edmilson in midfield while Bristol welcome back Marek Hamsik and the super trio Marco Borriello, Trinidad Diego Capel and Perez Bojan Krkic up front and a steel defense with Gonul Gokhan, Nicola Legrottaglie and Kolo Toure

Emile Heskey breaks the deadlock just three minutes into the game after a mix-up in defense which allows him to poke home in front of 19,000 disappointed Bristol fans. But before the Saint's fans had a chance to celebrate the goal, Marco Boriello put Bristol back into the game with a shot from an acute angle which deflects into the back of the net. Eighteen minutes later, Mexican winger Carlos Vela gets his first for Bristol in four games after smashing it with venom into the back of the net. The first half ended 2-1 in favor for the home side and a second half brace from Perez Bojan Krkic seals the game for Bristol City as Perez Bojan Krkic gets another two goals to push his goal tally over 30 goals in just 36 games.

BRISTOL CRASH OUT OF CUP THROUGH BITTER PENALTY DEFEAT

Marco Borriello (14') 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Bristol City 1-1 Rodriguez Vicente (73')

After five consecutive wins, Bristol face Nottingham Forest as in the FA Cup and both sides field their strongest team with Manuel Rui Costa, Rodriguez Vicente, Aleksandr Kerzhakov, Paul Robinson for Forest and Bristol still have star striker Perez Bojan Krkic as well as two stars Barry Ferguson and Kolo Toure making up their backbone.

Marco Borriello scored early in the 14th minute, rounding Paul Robinson and finishing on an acute angle. Seventeen minutes from time, Nottingham Forest left winger Rodriguez Vicente put the game into penalties after thumping the ball into the back of the net. In the bitter shoot-outs, Paul Robinson's excellence prevented Bristol to score any penalties and brought Nottingham Forest into the second round of the cup.

Shrope United 1-2 Marco Borriello (42')

Shrope United 1-3 Marco Borriello (67')

Shrope United 1-4 Perez Bojan Krkic (84')

After the bitter penalty defeat against Nottingham Forest, many pundits believed that Bristol City would go into a nightmare period losing games, but it was the total opposite when they visited Shrope United at Glamford Park. Pham made no changes to the side that has terrorized defenses this season.

The 6,400 fans which travelled to Glanford Park thought that a shock win for Shrope was going to happen when Paul Hayes follows up the rebound after Joe Hart parried his very own shot. But four minutes later, Perez Bojan Krkic shows that he is the main man at Bristol City. The lightning quick Spanish prodigy bursts into the box and lashes home from fifteen yards. Bristol City were not giving Shrope a single chance to provide a counter attack and what has to come came in the 42nd minute when Italian striker Marco Borriello thunders it into the net. Marco Borriello and Perez Bojan Krkic provide a deadly strike force this season, scoring 21 out of Bristol's 35 goals this season. In the 67th minute, Marco Borriello got his second of the game when he rasps home a screamer on the edge of the box. And when there was just six minutes left in the game, man of the match winner Perez Bojan Krkic climbs over Kevan Hurst and heads the ball into the back of the net.

Trinidad Diego Capel (25') 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Barry Ferguson (48') 4-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Bristol City 4-1 Martin Palermo (50')

Bristol City 4-2 Diego Buonanotte (63')

Bristol City travel back to Ashton Gate to face Sheffield Wednesday after a 4-1 win against Shrope United. Bristol still make no changes to their side by fielding their best team in the 3-5-2 formation with the trio Trinidad Diego Capel, Perez Bojan Krkic and Marco Borriello leading their attack while Sheffield were not weaker by fielding a side with the likes of Martin Palermo, Johan Micoud, Ivan Helguera and Fernando Cavenaghi.

Three goals in the space of just fifteen minutes put Sheffield to the sword in just the 25th minute by Perez Bojan Krkic, Marco Borriello and Trinidad Diego Capel and a fourth goal in the 48th minute by Barry Ferguson make the consolation goals by Diego Buonanotte and Martin Palermo useless. Barry Ferguson continues his good form by scoring another goal and providing one for man of the match winner Marco Borriello.

Wigan Athletic 2-6 Perez Bojan Krkic (67')

Wigan Athletic 2-7 Christian Maidana (68')

Wigan Athletic 2-8 Perez Bojan Krkic (75')

Relegated Wigan Athletic host Pham's Bristol City who have won seven on the trot and Wigan hosted stars such as Enzo Maresca, Raul Tamudo and Aaron Lennon spearheading Wigan's attack but Bristol's strength was undeniable with Perez Bojan Krkic who scored ten goals in the previous seven games and is leading the charts for top goalscorer.

A quadruple from Perez Bojan Krkic including a screamer from outside the box and two excellent solos pass the keeper and half of Wigan's defense to get his eleventh, twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth of the season as well as his 38th for Bristol City and he is just ten goals behind last season's goalscoring record of 24 goals. And a goal apiece for Mustapha Bayal Sall, Marek Hamsik, Barry Ferguson and Christian Maidana sealed the eight goals for Bristol and two consolation goals for Wigan were scored by Italian midfielder Enzo Maresca.

BRISTOL EDGE WOLVES TO A 2-1 VICTORY

Marco Borriello (50') 1-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Trinidad Diego Capel (61') 2-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers

Bristol City 2-1 Cristian Lucarelli (70')

Wolves were predicted as the winners of the league with a very strong team but they are currently seven points behind Bristol City who have kept a 100% win record in the league. Wolves featured stars such as Jonathan Woodgate, Steve Finnan, Filipe Joao Moutinho, while Bristol look to extend their difference with the third place side to at least ten points. Bristol are currently the team with the strongest attack in the league, scoring 33 goals and conceding just 9 goals before this game including an 8-2 win against Wigan Athletic.

The first half ended boringly with no goals apiece but just five minutes into the second half, an excellent through ball from Trinidad Diego Capel leaves Marco Borriello in an one on one position with Jens Lehmann and the Italian striker confidently places it, breaking the deadlock. Over ten minutes later, Spanish winger Trinidad Diego Capel rifles a right foot shot in off the woodwork, getting his fourth of the season. Nine minutes later, Cristiano Lucarelli got Wolves consolation goal.

LEE JOHNSON MOVES TO BLACKBURN ROVERS

After being transfer listed a few days ago by Bristol manager Tom Pham, Lee Johnson has agreed to sign for Blackburn Rovers for a fee of 4M, meeting Pham's asking price for the English central midfielder. Lee Johnson was no longer a first choice at Bristol City playing just two games out of a possible 47 under Pham's management. The 27-year old Englishman is just the ninth choice in the pecking order for the central midfield roll.

Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Spoon v Toggs v Sam v Daniel

Turned down job offers for Wigan, West Ham, Coventry and Southampton and I have done fantastically well in the start of the season, but I am beginning to struggle with such a small squad and I thought I would be worse off but I am doing decent so far. I am currently sitting sixth and here are my results since the last update I gave:

BRISTOL CITY 2-2 FULHAM

Mikel 25' Hleb 28' : Hyypia 5' Pizarro 68'

SUNDERLAND 0-2 BRISTOL CITY

..................... : Cavenaghi 15' Bojan Krkic 86'

BRISTOL CITY 3-0 ARSENAL

Cavenaghi 16' 26' Hleb 73' : ...

READING 4-0 BRISTOL CITY

Ingimarsson 9' Allback 25' Kitson 33' Harper 48' : ...

BRISTOL CITY 3-1 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Hleb 18' Cavenaghi 76' 86' : David Silva 22'

LIVERPOOL 1-1 BRISTOL CITY

Torres 37' .. : Cole 54'

BRISTOL CITY 1-2 CHELSEA

Cavenaghi 85' : Lee 38' Ibrahimovic 47'

I have also progressed through to round 3 of the English Cup after beating Blackburn on penalties, and so had to play a weakened side against Chelsea (pardon the defeat). The only low point so far has been getting hammered off of Reading and to an extent, the opening day loss at home to Wigan. But the 3-0 drubbing of Arsenal, and 3-1 verus Spurs added to away wins against Newcastle and Sunderland.

Have now quit the B.City as i feel there was only a certain amount i could do with them. Sitting in a slightly under-par 15th and out of the cups. A good squad though with 5-6 90+ including Niang, Lavezzi, Rothen, Bordon and more.

Been a good experience to be a part of and wish every manager still competing the best of luck in the future with their B.City's. For now i am looking for a new selection of clubs and stop my habits

Fulham 0-4 Perez Bojan Krkic (76')

After a tiring encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Pham was forced to make four changes to the team whom start against Fulham at Craven Cottage, where newly appointed manager William Bailey hopes for all three points in his first game with over 16,000 fans cheering the Cottagers on. Although Bristol City had a strong attack with Marco Borriello and Perez Bojan Krkic up front, they were no match for Fulham's strikers, Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Brian McBride, both very experienced internationals.

Perez Bojan Krkic put the Bristol City fans into raptures of joy as he rasps home a screamer. Perez Bojan Krkic slides both knees on the ground and throws his fists in the air. A great goal from the Spanish striker. 23 minutes later, Argentine winger Christian Maidana, who was replacing Marek Hamsik that day, heads powerfully past Antti Niemi. On the 39th minute, Fulham had another loss when Philippe Christanval is shown a straight red card after a petulant kick on Paolo De Ceglie and Fulham were two goals down and a man down with 51 minutes remaining. Eleven minutes after half time, Barry Ferguson hit a powerful shot in off the box to continue his good form for the club and Perez Bojan Krkic finished the game off with a beautiful solo, darting past three defenders and driving past Antti Niemi his 40th goal in 42 games for Bristol City.

Bristol City changed back to their best starting eleven with Nicola Legrottaglie, Kolo Toure, Marek Hamsik and Hatem Ben Arfa back in the side to face West Bromwhich Albion with Tomas Galasek, Marcelo Bordon and Gregory Coupet in the side. If Bristol could win against West Brom today, they would extend the lead to the second place to eleven points, equivalent to three wins and two draws.

Twenty-five minutes into the game, a good cross from Hatem Ben Arfa is headed home by Barry Ferguson to continue the Scot's great performances, getting his fifth goal in five games. Barry Ferguson, Marek Hamsik and Mustapha Bayal Sall have been immense, just conceding 8 goals in the games they played together. Thirteen minutes after half time, a great through ball from Trinidad Diego Capel leaves Marco Borriello one-on-one with Gregory Coupet and the Italian confidently places it. With two minutes from the final whistle, Spanish winger Trinidad Diego Capel wraps up the game with an easy goal after some great passing by Bristol City.

Bristol City make no changes to the previous 3-0 win against West Bromwich Albion to face defending English Premier League Champions Liverpool in the Carling Cup. Liverpool field their strongest side except for Ferrero Miki Roque. Steven Gerrard, Jose Fernando Torres, Jose Reina, Olano Xabi Alonso were all fielded to play against a much weaker side consisting of Perez Bojan Krkic, Marco Borriello and Barry Ferguson and are playing in the second tier. Whilst Bristol are currently 1st in the Coca Cola Championship with 11 wins out of 11, Liverpool are currently 2nd in the English Barclays Premier League with 8 wins and 3 draws in 11 games.

A powerful shot from Hatem Ben Arfa forces Jose Pepe Reina to parry it but Perez Bojan Krkic quickly follows up on the rebound to open the scoring in the fifth minute. Just 17 minutes later, Perez Bojan Krkic's team-mate in the Spanish National Team, Jose Fernando Torres glides in a right foot shot from outside the box, a sublime finish from the Spanish superstar. But in just eleven minutes, from the 32nd minute to the 43rd minute, Marco Borriello's brace got Bristol City 3-1 in front with only a half remaining. Most Liverpool fans were already expecting a shock exit. But the unexpected happened when Adrian Mutu and Diego Milito both scored to equalize 3-3 with just ten minutes remaining. But when least expected to score, Bristol City provided the shock when Ivorian defender Kolo Toure thunders in an overhead kick, less than sixty seconds after Diego Milito's equalizer in the unbelievable joy of the Bristol fans.

Bristol travel to Deepdale to face The Lillywhites after a great win over Liverpool in the second round of the Carling Cup. Morale is high and Pham decides to make only one change which is to put Federico Fazio into the team for his second game of the season to replace injured Gonul Gokhan who will be out until mid-August. Perez Bojan Krkic seeks for goals to continue his prolific form this season, he currently has 16 goals in 11 games before the match and Marco Borriello has 8 goals in 11 games, to add up to his terrible form last season, failing to score a single goal in 8 games.

Sixteen minutes into the game, using his weaker foot, Trinidad Diego Capel hits a right foot rifle into the onion bag, a goal he will definitely proud about. Trinidad Diego Capel has had 16 goals and 23 assists in 36 games for Bristol, with this season being 6 goals and 12 assists. Into the second half, Perez Bojan Krkic scores a brace to get his 17th and 18th goal this season and 41st and 42nd goal for Bristol in just 44 games, an amazing scoring record. The first goal was a smart lob over the keeper and the second was an easy shot from Perez Bojan Krkic. In between Perez Bojan Krkic's goal was Marco Borriello's goal, his beautiful half-volley into the roof of the net to get his ninth goal in twelve games. And with three minutes left in the game, Nicola Legrottaglie seizes an error in defense and rounds the keeper to score his first in 24 games for The Robins

BRISTOL SIGN SWISS INTERNATIONAL

After completing deals for Barry Ferguson and Kolo Toure in the pre-season, Tom Pham continued to sign another international star who played really well in the EURO's 2008, Gokhan Inler from Udinese. Although he did not want to, Tom Pham was forced to fork out 2.9M and Moustapha Bayal Sall and Paul Baysse. Moustapha Bayal Sall was a great player for Bristol City, playing 45 games, scoring 3 goals and assisting 7 goals whilst on the other hand, Paul Baysse failed to make a single appearance for Bristol City.

I'm amazed I've kept an all-win run in the league and unbeaten run in all competitions, even though knocked on by Forest on penalties in the cup. After signing Inler will be the signing of duo Pepe and Turan Arda who will cost a combine 16M after selling Corini, Kabore and Malonga. Raising cash was quite easy. :) I am in Division Two though, so the wins are a lot easier. (I think you figured that through the Coca Cola Championship Logo). I need to get promoted, and I am almost done with that goal although I'm just 12 games in :D

Good luck tonight guys, I'm getting another win. :)

BRISTOL SIGN PORTUGAL'S STAR DEFENDER

After completing the signing of Swiss international Gokhan Inler and agreeing to sell Chris Malonga, Charles Kabore and Eugenio Corini for a combined fee of 12M, Bristol City had a total of 17.5M to spend on players and Pham did not take long to decide who he wanted. Pham spent 9.85M and traded out Gonul Gokhan and Ruud Vormer for Ferreira Pepe, who is an important player at the Portuguese National Team. Tom Pham said: "We had to trade out Gonul (Gokhan) and Ruud (Vormer) but we do not regret it even though Gonul (Gokhan) has been great for us. We feel we have adequate cover and Gonul (Gokhan) has been injured so we decided to trade him out. I am very happy to see an experienced defender here and Pepe will be great alongside Nicola and Kolo in defense." Gonul Gokhan made 30 appearances for The Robins and assisting two goals. It will be likely for Ferreira Pepe to start alongside Federico Fazio and Nicola Legrottaglie on Wednesday.

Joining with Ferreira Pepe this morning was twenty-one year old Turkish winger Turan Arda from Galatasaray. The winger, who had a great EURO's is expected to become a starter and will start against Nottingham Forest in midweek, replacing tired Marco Borriello, with Hatem Ben Arfa pushed up front. Turan Arda's fee was a bit cheaper, costing 6.8M and Loris Arnaud & Paolo De Ceglie, however he will take no part less important, playing on the opposite wing of Trinidad Diego Capel in the five-man midfield. Turan Arda said: "It is great to be in England. I am sure that we will be playing top flight football next season as we have won all 13 games so far, with great wins like 8-2 against Wigan Athletic. I am also very happy to playing alongside Bojan, Borriello, Diego Capel, Toure, Pepe, Inler, Ferguson... and under such a great manager like Pham. I am very happy."

Bristol City travel back to Ashton Gate to face Watford in an exciting encounter. Federico Fazio started his eighth game of the season replacing injured Gonul Gokhan, who now has been traded to Real Madrid. Gokhan Inler also makes his debut today, playing in the holding midfielder role, replacing Moustapha Bayal Sall, who was involved in Gokhan Inler's deal. Watford's main threat came from Nikola Zigic but this game, Kolo Toure was assigned to mark the tall striker.

Marco Borriello gets his tenth in thirteen games this season, breaking the deadlock after a clever pass from Federico Fazio takes out Watford's defense and the Italian striker rifles his shot in off the woodwork nine minutes after kick-off. But a little less than fifteen minutes later, Damien Francis dummies Joe Hart and slides the ball home to equalize for Elton John's favorite team. But with such great strikers like Perez Bojan Krkic and Marco Borriello, it was not surprised to see Richard Lee concede once more as Perez Bojan Krkic, who will be suspended the next game for receiving five yellow cards, using his pace and power, bursts into the box and lashes home from fifteen yards. Damien Francis showed that he was a great match for Bojan Krkic and Marco Borriello when he hits a right foot shot into the onion bag to equalize for Watford once again. With ten minutes left in the game, most sides expected Watford to be the first to end Bristol City's great run of wins, but Marek Hamsik pops out of nowhere after a great pass from Perez Bojan Krkic and Marek Hamsik hammers home in the joy of Bristol fans.

Bristol City played a second string team as they travel to City Ground to face a full strength Nottingham Forest. Bristol City have debuts for Ferreira Pepe, Turan Arda and Martin Bravo as well as playing Federico Fazio, Viktor Fayzulin, Hatem Ben Arfa and Christian Maidana to replace the not-match-fit players. On the other hand, Nottingham Forest fielded their strongest side with Rodriguez Vicente, Michael Dawson, Manuel Rui Costa, Theo Walcott and Aleksandr Kerzhakov in the side.

Less than sixty seconds after the kick-off, Hakan Sukur rises majestically and heads in the inswinging corner into the back of the net, scoring his 20th in 33 games for Nottingham Forest. But not long after, debutant Martin Bravo equalizes for Bristol City, heading home Trinidad Diego Capel's cross from the left in the disappointment of all Forest fans. Twelve minutes later, Christian Maidana, on the rare occasion he gets to start, rounds Paul Robinson and finishes in an acute angle to make it 2-1 in his fifth start. Scored 63 goals, conceded 13 and Marco Borriello and Perez Bojan Krkic scored 34 goals combined (Borriello-14 and Bojan-20), more than 76 teams in league. :D Also beat Liverpool 4-3 in shield but lost to Nottingham Forest on penalty. :(

Bristol City return to Ashton Gate after an easy 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest to face Crystal Palace. Bristol City field their strongest side once again, with Turan Arda and Trinidad Diego Capel on the wings and Perez Bojan Krkic and Marco Borriello up front, the duo scoring 29 goals in 13 games apiece. Crystal Palace fielded their strongest side with the best player being Peruvian winger Damian Ismodes. It was predicted an easy win for Pham's side to extend their all-win run in the league to 15 consecutive games.

Turan Arda opened the goal feast when he casually rolled the ball in the net in his second game to score his first goal and seconds later, Perez Bojan Krkic gets his 20th of the season, finishing neatly inside the box. On the half-hour mark, Marco Borriello scores his first of the game and eleventh of the season by hitting a great half-volley into the roof of the net and six minutes later, Marco Borriello steals a chance by some poor communication at the back from Crystal Palace. With two minutes left in the first half, Marek Hamsik nods the ball home after a dangerous corner from Marco Borriello to get his third of the season. Six minutes after half-time, a brilliant through-ball got Turan Arda his second goal of the game after confidently placing it against the keeper. Marco Borriello then completed his hat-trick after finishing from a yard. Marek Hamsik also got his second goal of the game after caressing a curling shot with great technique sixty seconds after Marco Borriello's goal to make it 8-0. And with seven minutes left in the game, a goal apiece from Hatem Ben Arfa and Marco Borriello's fourth seals the 10-0 win for Tom Pham and leaves Crystal Palace players in big embarrassment...

Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Spoon v Sam v Daniel

I am 4th in the league and only three points behind the leader so I am doing reasonably well in the league, I am out the English Shield but I am in the 4th round of the English Cup so my season has went quite well so far.

BRISTOL THRASH SHEFFIELD UNITED TO PROGRESS

VENUE: Ashton Gate

ATTENDANCE: 20,039

Marco Borriello (4') 1-0 Sheffield United

Turan Arda (20') 2-0 Sheffield United

Trinidad Diego Capel (34') 3-0 Sheffield United

Perez Bojan Krkic (46') 4-0 Sheffield United

Bristol City field their strongest side against Sheffield United in the third round of the shield, hoping for another good win to progress into the fourth round. In the last round, Bristol City managed to beat Liverpool 4-3 at home thanks to an 81st minute goal from Kolo Toure whilst Sheffield United thrashed Blackpool 7-0 from a Milan Baros hat-trick and a brace for Darius Vassell. Bristol City are currently top of the Championship, and Sheffield United bottom of the Premier League but Sheffield United are a side with great players, like Ulrich Rame, Juan Melli, Mathieu Flamini, Cristiano Zanetti, Milan Baros and want to prove they are no pushovers against Bristol City, who feature their strongest side. The winner of this game will face Arsenal in the fourth round of the shield.

Bristol City start the game on a flying start, as a brilliant through-ball leaves Marco Borriello one-on-one with the keeper and the Italian striker beautifully places the ball into the back of the net. Sixteen minutes later, the difference was doubled, this time through Turkish winger Turan Arda, heading powerfully past the goalkeeper after a nice cross from Trinidad Diego Capel, and Trinidad Diego Capel capped of a great performance with a goal for himself in the 34th minute, volleying the ball into the back of the net after a nice touch from Marek Hamsik.

TURAN ARDA SCORES ON CUP DEBUT

The second half was no improvement for Sheffield United as they failed to score, and conceded another goal through Perez Bojan Krkic in the 46th minute, converting a fantastic cross with a header. Many more chances came to other players, but all failed to score another goal as Bristol City hold on to their 4-0 win to progress to the fourth round of the cup to face Arsenal. The Man of the Match Award goes to Italian striker Marco Borriello once again.

Aston Villa 1-2 Bristol City

New signing Jon Dahl Tomasson struck on his Bristol City debut tonight in the 2-1 win away at Villa Park. Already the commentators are "running out of superlatives" to describe Tomasson who was only drafted in as Cavenaghi failed a late fitness test yesterday. Fernando Gago, the captain of the side, scored his second goal of the season ten minutes later to put City in command. Fernando Morientes struck just two minutes after for Villa, but Philp's side held on for the three points tonight.

The Dane's goal maintained City's unbeaten league run which is currently on seven matches. Since the loss to Chelsea City travelled to Blackburn Rovers, Manchester United and tonight Aston Villa and won all three away games. Home wins also came at the expense of Bolton, Portsmouth, Manchester City and especially Ipswich Town who were thumped 5-0 at Ashton Gate. Losing out to Manchester United in Round 4 of the English Cup was a down point, but City host Bolton in Round 4 of the English Shield next Monday. Life in Division One has been so good so far for the Ashton Gate side as they sit third after eighteen matches only one point behind first-placed Manchester City. Birmingham City are next.
