Two signings give City the edge

City's first of the season and it looks as if its something to build on. Despite Bendtner's loan move minutes before the game, it was decided hed only watch from the sideline, as his new team cruised to victory. Goals from Ben Arfa and Leto in the opening 30 mins gave City 3 points. Ben Arfa was also awarded the MoM award.

The win takes the team to 4th in the table, behind Colchester (3rd), Charlton (2nd) and Blackpool who sit top. Theyre next oppoments Coventry City lost their first game against Ipswich 2-0.

Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Torley v Toggs

4 faces in and 1 Bargain signing coming in

Toggs completed the signings last night of;

Ingido Iniakez - Southampton - £1.4M

Darryl Knights - Yeovil Town - 20k

Pedro Rui Patricio - Sporting - 400k

Osa Gumbodia Ice Cream - 10k - Austria Krankten ?

But im extremely happy with the signing that will go through in the morning;

Armand Traore - Arsenal - 1.7M !

After that signing is when i will start selling the original team, i expect to have around 3-5 of the riginal squad, still at my team @ the end of the season.

Stumped that it didnt get the Witsel deal through, as hes gone up by 3. I have Ben Arfa so thts good :P ( Along with most of the others... )

Gelson Fernandes has joined on loan from Man City, takes the total of signings (Buy/Loan) up to 25. He looks to bring in around 6 more in the next few weeks, selling loads aswell though :)

Good Luck EVERYBODY !!!!

While i am not in this challenge i will answer this question for you. This is not a custom setup or in fact a particular setup. What these forumers have done is each chosen a Bristol City in any English champion setup and try to take them to new heights. So it is a challenge not a custom setup ;)

Thanks for that :).

B. City boosted by the rating increase to 84 by right back Marcos Camozzato, who will replace Orr in the starting lineup tonight against Coventry City.

Also, David Noble, Steve Brooker and Lee Johnson have all left for a combined total of around £3,000,000. Philp is still hopeful of picking up Alan Hutton in the next few days, and will sell Vasko and Orr to do so.

Good luck to everyone tonight :P.

Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Torley v Toggs

I won 2-1 as well last night at home against managed Sheffield Wednesday. Must have been a bitter pill for the Owl's manager who has now quit lol.

2nd in the league, 3 wins from 3, just second on goal difference to an unmanged side :eek:

Is Ross still competing? Haven't seen anything from him in a while on here...

Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Torley v Toggs

Cant win, 1-1 with Blackpool.

Still confident of promotion, but we need to get our scoring shoes on, we have good players, just not performing atm :eek:

Will write back on this thread when we WIN on wednesday :);)

Re: Ross v Tom v Mark v Teb v Torley v Toggs

Yes Teb, I'm still competing and this will be the only thread I am posting on.

BRISTOL CITY 3-1 COVENTRY CITY

(Diego Capel 11' 49' Sektioui 55') - (Mifsud 78')

BRISTOL CITY 1-0 STOKE

(Reo-Coker 44') - ()

Well as you have noticed above, Nigel Reo-Coker has joined on loan from Aston Villa, and with the rating changes, Vincent Muratori, Marcos Camozzato are now regulars in the first team. Almunia and Denilson were recalled, so the timely rating rise for Pontdeme means he is now first choice in goal.

Up to eighth with those consecutive wins, and Vasko is off as a bid has been accepted. He was no longer needed as Gonzalo Garcia joined from Racing Club.
