Plymouth Argyle midfielder Dan Gosling has finally signed for Premier League club Everton.

The move has been reported on for the last few days but now Gosling has finally put pen to paper on deal thought to be worth £1.5 million to Argyle.

Everton manager David Moyes was delighted to capture the young Pilgrim, he said: 'He is one for the future.'

The highly-rated England youth player only signed his first professional contract in February 2007 after reaching his 17th birthday and made a total of 24 appearances for the Pilgrims.

The transfer of Gosling, who can also play at right-back, represents good business for Argyle with the teenage prodigy not a first-team regular at Home Park.

The deal is Argyle's highest transfer beating the £750,000 that Southampton paid for striker Mickey Evans 10 years ago.

Re: Dan Gosling

Gosling started for Everton a few days ago in the attacking midfield role against Middlesbrough and nearly scored on two occasions, firing once over the bar from an akward height and being denied again by a terrific save. He made his second appearance for the club today against Sunderland, coming on as a substitute late in the game and scoring from a Joleon Lescott cross.

He's a 18 year old rated 80 at the moment. Buy him if you can, he looks to be an England international in the making.
