Tight game at the HSH Nordbank Arena!

Hamburg SV 3-4 PSV

PSV last night picked up there second win in a row beating Germain side Hamburg SV 4-3 at the HSH Nordbank Arena, PSV dominated possession, but Hamburg dominated on the shots, Paolo GUERRERO could of opened the score on 9 minutes for Hamburg, but his 6 yard effort flew over the bar. But it was the guests who opened the scoring, and it was that man again, Antonio CASSANO finishing cleverly from 18 yards, snf PSV were up on 32 minutes through Jefferson FARFAN thumping a low shot past the keeper, and things couldent of got worste for HamBurg as PSV went 3-0 up 3 mins later through Antonio CASSANO chipping the keeper getting his second goal of the game and making it 3-0 to PSV at half time. PSV couldent of started the second half better, 1 minute into the game, Barbosa RICHARLYSON got his first goal for PSV parring a powerful rebound into the net from 6 yards, but PSV now being 4-0 up werent bothered what happened of the pitch because, 1 minute later, Hamburg made it 4-1 thanks to Romeo CASTELEN climbing over the defence and smashing a powerful header into the far corner, Ivica OLIC made it 4-2 on 78 minutes, hitting a sweet 35 yard shot into the top corner of the net, and Hamburg made it 4-2. 2 minutes later, Ivica OLIC made it 4-3 powering a powerful header into the net past the keeper, a great comback by Hamburg, but not enough to get a draw or a win as the game finished 4-3.

(Cassano got another 2 goals for PSV!)

Betis News

After slumping into another defeat at home against Valencia 1:3, Manager WATLW was extremely unhappy about the way his team is performing at home. He was said that major changes will be due at Manuel Ruiz de Lopera until the next match

Player News

Somoza & Sergio Suspended for the rest of the season!

After several unmotivated apps, both players were suspended with immedate effect.

Betis is rumoured to be in transfer talks with Daniel Jensen from Werder Bremen.

Home - 3 wins, 1 draw, 4 losses - goals: 15/16, -1 - points: 10

Away - 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss - goals: 13/7, +6 - points 13

1: Mr. TLW, your team has started the season very well and eyed promotion chances, but now, within the last 5 matches you have only managed to collect 3 points. Whats going wrong at the moment?

2: At the beginning we had the advantage of being underestimated, which has now gone. If i knew what is going wrong, we wouldn't be losing right?

1: But what will you do against it?

2: Of course i wont sit back and let it happen. I've alreay taken actions and suspended two players, who were completely unmotivated in the recent games.

1: Will Betis still be able to get promoted?

2: As far as I'm concered, we never played for promotion this season. Our main target will be to avoid relegation and as soon as this has happened, we might reset our target. We have 4 games left this season, and are 8 points ahead of relegation, so we must just win 2 out of the last 4 matches.

1: Your team seems to be extremely strong away, why can't they dominate their opponents at home?

2: Could be that my players are scared of their own fans  . Seriously now, we are playing a complete diferent tactic away and it seems as if it suits my team better ::shrugs::.

1: There's rumours that Daniel Jensen will join Betis for the last 4 games, any truth behind that?

2: Of course i would love to make him a Betis player, but its up to him.

1: What are the thoghuts on your next match against Villareal?

2: It'll be a very dificult encounter, as Villareal stand at the bottom of the table and must win, but it will be up to us to prevent them from doing that. I'd say it will end up in a hard faught draw.

1: Thanks for your time and good luck

2: yea yea, whatever

Barcelona News

High Flying Barcelona On Fire!

Barcelona visit the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to face George's Sevilla in the 14th game of the season. Barcelona are on a great run, unbeaten in the last five games, winning three of them and they are targeting to make it four wins and six unbeaten in a row.

Barcelona played the possession game, holding the ball 64% of the time but they only shot thirteen times, seven less than the homeside, but their efficiency was a lot higher than Sevilla. Sevilla got fourteen shots on target, twice as much as Barcelona.

Samuel Eto'o opened the scoring in the eighth minute, getting his fourth goal of the season after he turned around quickly and fired the shot in the low corner, showing how great of a striker he is. His fast reaction completely stunned Rene Adler. Samuel Eto'o with the opener gets himself a MoM Award.

((Winner of the MoM Award, Barcelona's star man Samuel Eto'o))

Just ten minutes later, an excellent long range shot from Juan Roman Riquelme was pushed out by the 23-year old German keeper Adler but Lionel Messi the world's best prospect sneaks inside and easily gets himself a goal. A poacher's goal scored with style.

((The 20 year old forward scores with style))

Two minutes before the break, Rafael Marquez gets his fourth of the season equalling star man Eto'o. Marquez has been on fire this season and luckily, the deal between him and Werder Bremen fell through on the last minute. This time, Marquez easily bundles it over the line after a scramble inside the box.

((Rafael Marquez, the Mexican captain gets his fourth of the season))

Thirteen minutes after the break, Correira Adriano beats two defenders and slots home a great solo effort beating Gianluigi Buffon easily. Adriano has been on fire for Sevilla this season, scoring four goals, just behind Khalid Boulahrouz.

((The 23-year old Brazilian keeps his form up and keeps his hopes for the Brazilian National Team high))

In the 67th minute, Gilberto da Silva continues his spectacular form after hitting a beautiful shot causing the keeper to be stranded. This game, the Barcelona players have forced Adler to work very hard. Gilberto gets his third goal in just six games.

((One of the best buys of the season, Gilberto stays on fire))[

Real Madrid brought their bad luck in the Cup Final to the Bernabeau and lost the match 4-2 to Bilbao. Guiza had a brace, and Javi Martinez and Ivan Campo also added to their misery. Ruud Van Nistelrooy was Sent Off, the ref had no choice after he scored an impressive goal. Guti also clinched a goal in the 2nd Half but sadly Real lost the match after a remarkable run in the Cup that Miles Surrey is very impressed by. Francisco Javier Yeste is back from an Injury and Bilbao are back in 7th place, outside relegation. Sevilla will cause a problem at Home, and Miles Surrey really needs a win now at Home to keep up the teams High Spirits.

Strangely Enough, this is how my home and away form is in the League

Home 0-1-6

Away 5-1-1 :D

Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero is in the middle of fatal discussions with his agent over his future. His agent is believed to want to stay in Madrid, whilst Aguero is said to want a move out due to the lack of ambition around Vicente Calderon.

Roque Santa Cruz wont be leaving Black Burn this summer, according to the players agent, who was speaking exclusively on Rovers TV.

Jose Bosingwa will be holding talks later next week over a new contract to stay at FC Porto for a further 3 years.

Rangers will do "whatever they can," to find a new boss in the next couple of weeks

Last night FC Porto met up against second place Ajax at the Estádio do Dragão. The game was not he most highly entertaining one and was very closely contested but Porto managed to sneak the win thats to a goal by striker Mladen Petric. This is what FC Porto manager Rishabh Desai had to say:"It was a really close game. We played well but did not look dangerous at all. The game was very evenly balanced and the stats will tell u so. It was just one moment of pure magic for Petric that won us this game. The win means we move into second place and that really pleases me greatly !"

24: da Silva Arruda HELTON pulls off a fantastic save!

61: A ball over the top of the defence results in a one-on-one but Maarten STEKELENBURG does just enough to deny the goal.

Porto 4 3 Ajax

Yellow Cards

Porto 1 1 Ajax

Red Cards

Porto 0 0 Ajax

The possession shows that it was a really close game but the stats also show that we had more shots on goal. Having got 10 shots on goal we should have scored atleast another goal !! Full marks to our keeper Helton for keeping the clean sheet as well. But at hte end of the day we got the win and that is what counts.

Man of the Match

Mladen Petric

(The man who won porto the game)

It was a really hard game but we won it in the end. I worked hard all game and got my reward. I hope i can continue to score goals for my club and win them games like i have just done today !!!

Barcelona News

Can Anyone Beat Barcelona?

Barcelona continue their unbeaten streak by continue to be unbeaten seven games in a row, winning five of them and moved from 8th place to 2nd place. They scored 23 in their last seven games, counting this win, almost twice as much as what they did in the first ten games.

Barcelona host rivals Atletico Madrid at the Nou Camp, hoping to easily get three points to strengthen their chances to win the league and now they are just one point behind leaders Zaragoza and are pretty balanced on goal difference.

This was a very easy game for Barcelona, possessing the ball 56% of the time and shooting 25 times, more than four times as much as Atletico Madrid. While three out of six of Atletico's goals were on target, Barcelona had fourteen shots on target.

Just seven minutes after Drazenko Kovacic kick-off whistle, Ronaldinho scores a fabulous opener, getting his seventh of the season, just two behind leader David Villa. The opener was one of Ronaldinho's best this season, smashing the shot with venom, completely stunning Cristian Abbiati. Ronaldinho later on wins the MoM Award although subbed off in the 60th minute to regain fitness for the match against Racing Santander.

((Smashing a shot with venom and getting his sixth of the season))

Two minutes after the break, 20-year old prospect Lionel Messi makes it 2-0 after a terrible back pass from the Atletico Madrid defense falls short, making it one of the easiest goals in his career. In the 64th minute, Lionel Messi scored his sixth of the season, one goal behind top scorer Ronaldinho. Lionel Messi curls in a left foot shot from 25 yards out after easily taking out his marker Guerrero Antonio Lopez. An excellent brace for the star.

((Lionel Messi makes a nightmare for every goalkeeper and defense, not by scoring but by terrorizing the defense))

In between Lionel Messi's goal was the consolation goal scored by Maxi Rodriguez. Maxi has been on bad form this season in a team that is playing pretty badly. Maxi, although scored a goal, was completely blocked out this game by Gilberto and Eric Abidal.

((Maxi's consolation goal couldn't help Atletico))

Luis Nani Will Join Permanently?

Barcelona are in talks with Manchester United about 21 year old winger Luis Nani. The Portuguese has had an impressive season at Barcelona so far and playing eleven times and scoring two and has two assists. The winger has been pairing alongside Gilberto, terrorizing all defenses for the past seven games. Tom Pham said about Nani: "Luis is a great player and we would like to see him be a Barcelona player, not on loan, but permanent. I think that although it would cost quite a lot to bring him to Nou Camp, it will be worthed it. I hope we can seal a deal by the end of the season.

Athletico Bilbao are relieved after finally winning at home yesterday 2-1 to a struggling Sevilla side. Sevilla Midfielder Christian Poulsen opened the scoring, after managing to control the volley well. Javi Martinez scored 4 minutes later to tie the game, a great pass from Daniel Guiza helped Javi beat the offside trap. In the 35th minute a work of magic from Bilbao. Yeste chips the ball to Guiza, and the CF confidently thunders in an overhead kick! Javi was then subbed off for Movilla in the 60th minute to try and help defend against the rampant and impressive Sevilla side. The match had very few shots, Bilbao had 6 and Sevilla had 8. The real reason Bilbao won was because they had 61% of the possession. Guiza now has 5 goals and 7 assists, and is rapidly becoming our superstar. We sit in a very relieving 6th place, 5 points away from relegation!!! :)

Sporting Need a Win

Sporting are in need of a win, right now, the cup champions are in 9th place and have no chance of getting promoted.

Yesterday they lost 3-2 to Bayerna away, not so bad but it wasn't a win.

With 2 of our CF's scoring first, the game looked good for Sporting, but after the break, Bayern came back and dominated.

Yesterday, the manager tried a new formation to see if it would work and he was happy with it, but if they dont win the remaining 3 matches, they will be last!!!

Armand Derri had this to say:

"The staff and the players know we need to win, we also know that we have no chance of winning anything else this season so we are planning for next season and try to get promoted next season, and at least we wont have Bayern to face."

Athletic Bilbao's next match against Athletico Madrid has been named by Miles Surrey as the match of the year for Bilbao. A win could help them out of any more relegation issues, and bring back the confidence of the fans. Garcia Marcos is back from injury and could play a part in the big encounter.

Atletico Madrid boss Tom Greenfield insists Thursday nights game against Athletic Bilbao is extremly vital, and will determine if his team stay up or down in his mind. "Were capabale of winning I hope," "Of course we wont definatly win, but its a must win match indeed," "I have to get it right, the players have to get it right and most importantly, Atletico Madrid as a whole one unit must be spot on," "Canwe be spot on? will te crowd back up for 90 minutes? That's debatable, but we'll give this one heck of a try be sure,"

One man unavailable for the pivital fixture at Vicente Calderon is super hit man Diego Forland who is out due to illness, but we understand Coutander and Jose Antonio Reyes are set for call ups to the almost full strength side.

Reyes, who hasn't started yet this season until it seems tonight says he will still fight for a place in the team next season, regardless of what division they'll be in. "Its a big club, with a good ambition," "I only say this season has been a literal nightmare," "But ist season 1, you expect these to be nightmares, we'll turn the leaf im sure," "Im not willing to leave the club, because im settled and enjoying my life here,"

Sporting Lose AGAIN

Today Sporting lost, again and now fans are getting restless. They did not see star man, Bobo play for 2 games.

Armand Derri had this to say about the loss and Bobo :

"We are very sorry, to the club and the supporters. The club are trying very hard but we just can't seem to win. We will carry on trying. I've heard people moaning about Bobo not playing, its simple, he can't, he is very tired because he has worked hard all season."

The game finished 2-1 to PSV, after a winner by Dzudzack in the 69th minute, right after Trejo made it level.
