Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread Well, if the moment when Silva scored the winner for PSG ever becomes a "what were you doing when.." moment, then here's what Cahill and Terry was doing:

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread

Oh, these 5 last minutes.. I was still hoping we could go through the semi-finals :(

No shame in losing against a superior team that didn't wasted so many chances as we did.

Anyway, I think we were good in both hands and we showed our quality and what we are capable to do.

Congratulations :)

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread

This was a horrible performance by Chelsea. Both Torres and Kalou should have been taken off at around 60 minutes.. Ohh yeh' date=' and If Chelsea would have won, I would have won over €150.

EDIT : Scratch that .. I love you Meireles.[/quote']

Hardly Torres and Kalou being men to blame. The mop should have come off at half time for someone who may like their defensive duties.

Re: Official Chelsea FC Thread

The players looked tired against Benfica, particuarly Ramires who usually looks so full of energy. Glad Roberto has swapped it all around, we've got a tough April so rotation will be key. Here's the team:

Chelsea will line-up in the following 4-2-3-1 formation:

1 Petr Cech

2 Branislav Ivanovic

4 David Luiz

24 Gary Cahill

34 Ryan Bertrand

5 Michael Essien

16 Raul Meireles

23 Daniel Sturridge

10 Juan Mata

15 Florent Malouda

11 Didier Drogba ©

Subs: 22 Ross Turnbull, 17 Jose Bosingwa, 19 Paulo Ferreira, 6 Oriol Romeu, 12 John Mikel Obi, 21 Salomon Kalou, 9 Fernando Torres.

On a side note, I don't think the Benfica performance was an indication of how we'll do against Barca. The players will have more of a plan against Barca, to defend and try and counter, like we did so effectively against Valencia.

I feel we have the players to hurt them, particuarly Ramires, he has the pace to break away on the counter and should be able to outpace Puyol and Pique. My worry is that with our fixtures, the players may be tired when we face Barca. I believe we can do it, we're very hard to break down when we sit deep.
